Tanuki Trickery's clones are frustrating from an ally point of view. If I'm Geb/Khepri it's hard to know which is the real Danza in need of a shield/ult
I think they need to be careful with the tank item cd nerfs. The problem by far has been mage and assassin items, and it's gonna feel pretty terrible if tanks are standing around doing nothing in the late game. I think they did a good job being safe here, but we really need a different magical prot item with cdr. One of the biggest reasons talisman of purification is an auto buy is because there's only 2 magical prot items with cdr in the entire game
It’s been like that for awhile now … I’m not sure if it’s intended or not .. but either the tooltip is incorrect or hasn’t been updated , or they just forgot..
The strength items are terrible for “mages” Most are useless .. a mage with str scaling would be a bottom tier god.. They need more str items that have interesting active effects .. right now, all the interesting active items are tank and magic items .. Str active items are basically just attack speed items
I think honestly it would stay as int because you could argue that its not Heras strength but Argus’ strength. So int could increase argus’ strength potential, like putting a bigger battery in a toy, itll increase its output. Same with hera’s magic, its just argus’ battery imo
Also, why some gods can use animations of greeting or clapping during movement, while others should stay in place? Should be fixed so everyone could use emotions, we are on new engine, right?
The game has been feeling really good. Hastened Fatalis and Clay Soldiers (their health) need a nerf. Izanami is A(+/-) until she buys fatalis because fatalis is broken. Baron's heal scaling with % max HP and twice with CD is still put kindly questionable. Maybe consider scaling it with any other stat? Every ability with a CD already scales with CD so its always going to be a higher multiplier than you might think on paper. His CC wouldn't be as annoying if his 2 wasn't a 30% max hp heal, with sprint, with slow immunity, for the team, in a giant AoE, on an 8 second CD.
@@shadowsly2219 they do mostly balance for casuals it is just when you have gods like Morri and Yem who are broken in comp and bad in casuals hands you cant just let them be broken when a casual is gonna suck with the god if they are op or not
Make some of the Cooldown items like you have the Pen items were they get a keyword and that keyword does not stack with others of the same type. You could have all the 20 CDR items have one key word and then say Some of the 15CD items have another word. Doesn't have to be all, but some.
The Decrease of the duration for Doom Orb is going to make the item less popular. It is Similar to Avenging Something the jungle item. THe item is so specific in where you can use that and its passive is useless unless you are there. If you have a prolonged fight at Fire Giant or Gold Fury you will not have the passive for the item which makes the item feel poorly designed. Also as far as Gem of Focus never once have I felt like i was choosing one or other other. Doom Orb was built to help with Pen not movement speed. Honestly wont build either most likely unless the pen from Doom Orb is needed. Gem of Focus already has such a low INT amount of and now more int has been taken away from the item.
The problem with Mages in Solo has nothing to do with their health. It has to do with a Ra building a Damage starter and then full defense and then still being able to burst you down faster than you can burst them. Their base damage is too high. We will see if the change to glad helps this though as I am sure that was not helping matters.
@@Phalcon777but if Ra's health and phys prots are reduced, you'll be able to burst him harder back. So it does address the problem, while keeping his burst, as a mage, a strong suit even when played in solo
MLF should be a hybrid mage when she drops for sure. Girlypop has a sword. Currently I'm just confused as to why Pele isn't hybrid. Her abilities scream INT scaling to me. Idk seems very strange that Nemesis, girl with big sword, is hybrid, and Pele, girl who shoots fireballs, is pure strength.
Nemesis = balance, so kinda like hybrid, I agree it feels weird. Pele they really wanted to keep the same as smite 1, they mentioned feedback that said how little people wanted her to change
I really like the way they handled Nemesis kit though, it makes item building much more interesting. More gods should be like that, which is exactly my problem with Pele, especially since her abilities line up with their design philosophy for INT a lot better than STR anyway. I also didn't want her to change much - but I think the key here is that we were very happy with her gameplay, and that's why we didn't want her to change. By messing with her kit instead of her scaling I feel they have done the opposite of what they should have done, given that feedback. I don't think it's terrible by any means, but it doesn't make sense to me and it makes for a much less appealing god when you make changes to their gameplay that may alienate long time players, without even adding the elements of Smite 2 that make the game more interesting.
Thank god nu wa minions got nerfed. Very curious how Anubis will do now. Because of his kit and being burst focused with no mobility, he's definitely one of those gods that's either great or completely useless. It's probably a mistake to nerf his ult now that his stun will basically be nothing more than an interrupt on way too long of a cd. Also the Sobek nerf is probably a mistake. He needs a nerf to his poison, not his pluck
Loki is def good at all lvls but I do kinda think loki getting a nerf is weird cause I dont think he is even that op it is just all the other junglers suck

Make cabrakan scale with strenght, at least theme wised make sense and would create new nieche, idk if removing ms on gem was needed, just maybe nerf something else about it,gem of focus felt like cd focused movement option, spam abilites get ms,when orb doom feels like more int focused ms option, kill minions or whatever get ms, there should be more options to get additional ms imo , Make cabrakan scale with strenght 😅
Why can’t you guys put some numbers in not multiples of 5? Like for example, making chronos pendant 22 cd rate, idk just something random. I feel like this ocd obsession with 5’s on every stat makes balance weird at times, especially when the numbers start low like is the case with cd rate. Maybe soul gem would be more balanced with 12 cd rate, and the jump between 15 to 10 or vice versa makes it feel worse to play. Since there’s no cap of 40 % now, there’s really no reason for this even number compulsion. Same goes for the other stats.

Hi-Rez doesn’t have any excuses they can do the exact same thing healing and shields are not that hard to balance Hi-Rez is just don’t want to try. anytime they have a hard time with something. They just get rid of it like they did with bruiser items in Smite 1

Seriously, i played two matches in solo lane as Amaterasu against Nu Wa who rushed glad shield / phoenix shield , only spamming minions on me from level 1. Not fun, makes me want to not play the game, cant kill the minions, and they deal way too much base damage.
I feel the only way to not have a character over perform as a base, ALL characters need to have mixed scaling between STR and INT to some capacity. A character that can drink both potions at the end of the game and get benefit from each is just better as a base that those that cannot. The amount of extra damage you would need to apply to non-hybrid scalers would break the game as well, so as it stands everyone hits the same until late game when hybrid and generally over outliers shine. The INT and STR scaling doesn't even need to be only damage based, you mentioned that Rama would be all STR, but he could have +1 arrow in the quiver for every "50 INT" you have, and his attack speed stim could last longer or regenerate arrows faster based on INT. This would make a hybrid Rama be different and viable against maybe a STR Crit, while still leaving him has basically a "STR only" Chaac and Nemesis is a big example of what I want to see, but gods like Sobek are what I feel a massive failure. Sobek feels like he should be hitting hard if he is Strong and Tanky, CC chain wizard if he was Intelligent. Not much in his kit screams intelligence except a lot of the passives and under the hood aspects of his hit.

Also, I'm glad widespread mixed damage types was reverted from the alpha weekends, but a fringe case like Surtur was still neat. How likely is there to be another exception or two?
Ra abusing ability proc items with his two in solo lane is by and far the most frustrating experience I've had in Smite 2 so far. Healing with Shield of the Phoenix or getting bonus damage with Glad shield on EVERY AUTO is deeply unfun to play against, and feels like cheating.
I would really like to see you guys try a little bit of a different balance approach when it comes to items, considering we're still in closed alpha, apart from cooldown rate which was really op, what if instead of always nerfing the good items, you would rather try buffing the bad items more instead? It feels like smite 1 all over again where you nerf more than you buff and that in my opinion is really boring cause the good items are still gonna get bought not only because they are good but also because the bad items are really bad, regardless of nerfs. So what if you rather than nerf the top items, buff in some crazy ways some of the not that bought items?
For example, I really like the idea behind Lifebinder for supports, but in practice you are wasting an item slot going for it. Give it a massive buff, make it a 15 second cooldown so it is basically a 5th ability or something, basically go big or go home. Cause, for now, smite 1 inspired balancing really sucks for how boring it is.

How do we still not have text chat in the game yet... every game my team is lost and you cant even type to try and get them on the same page. Should of been in game already. Honestly the STR/INT scaling doesnt seem to be changing much of anythimg. Players will inevitability find the better stat and soley build that, making the entire idea of it split scaling useless
It doesn’t make it useless .. just cause some people are forever bricked into the mindset that they will only build one set of items , doesn’t mean the rest of us should have to build it too… And as far as in game chat, let’s be honest, people are just going to be typing exploitive a at eachother … there is voice chat in the game .. why not use your microphone?

Hecate passive isn't working as described. It cancels/breaks when the other person moves away. Only works when I chase them down

I feel like the Loki nerf is just because of the pro pick rate, same with The Morrigan and Yemoja.

Haha experienced the exact same thing. She actually went blue stone, prophetic, then glad shield and she eventually took my tower in 5 minutes

Morrigan has a low pick rate and low performance, so let's triple nerf her. Ok guys... I guess it really is a sequel to smite

When the majority of the players don't play in a pro circuit and balancing strictly for the pros feels bad sometimes. This is one of those.
