I went to an Xfinity Series race at Homestead last year, and needless to say I almost lost my hearing. I can’t imagine how loud the Cup Series cars are in person.
Seems like they’re quieter. I’ve been to many races at Daytona and 2012-2014 were the loudest. My last race was 2021 Coke Zero 400 so I haven’t heard the new cars in person yet
Oh boy sorry for the late response brother, I have not logged on UA-cam in a while to see my content. Okay, so the main section or gate they call it as is the "chevy gate" which is where pit exit is. Daytona has 3 or 4 main gates. They have the Toyota gate (pit entry before start/finish), Advent Healthcare Center (tri oval or at start/finish) and then the Chevy gate (pit exit after start/finish). I'm not too sure, but before Toyota and after Chevy so basically the way far corner seats of the turn 4 and turn 1 are considered the sunoco gates combined which makes it 4 gates or I guess 5 since part is far behind Toyota gate and one is far ahead of the Chevy gate... idk lol... However, I think this was in the row of the 170's. I went a few years back and I was in the 160's which is amazing too, but I prefer how these were slightly more down from pit exit because the car sounds so badass leaving the pitroad !!! It was a blast !!!
I see what you mean about the video part, but these cars in person have a deeper scary like bassy sound in person. It is more louder too. The Gen 6 and the Gen 5 which I experience too had it cleaner if that makes sense. Oh and in terms of loudness, it was there, but they seem to have a cleaner sound... idk, can't explain it, but The Gen 7 is just a blobs of bassy raspy loud sounds though.
They were screaming at Auto Club. I get what you say about them having a meaner sound. Don’t worry everyone you can still blow out your ear drums going to a race.
I just love the sound of the cars in the distance
Love when you can hear them hauling ass down the back stretch
I found the screaming of "Kyle Busch is in 5th" absolutely hilarious
ikr
@@redcaraidenHOW DID I FIND YOU AGAIN
I'm a massive Kyle Busch fan 🤣
we dont say that in Michigan....lol

i honestly don’t know how my grandpa goes so long without putting on the headset lmao
Still cant Believe i was there too. I wasnt really far away from your place😅 more right. Greetings from Germany 👍
dude i was there also and they sound scary, like it sounds like a jet with a sonic boom a bit
I sat around that exact spot 2019

On video yes they seem quieter but they are actually way louder in person than the past years
The 13-14 cars were incredibly loud, fast and fun to watch
Decibel wise they are louder, they're lower pitched though they lack the scream the old cars had, they still sound good.
@@NJDEVIL91923ok I knew I wasn’t trippin on that. I’ve definitely noticed they don’t have that scream factor. But like I said still loud
Awesome!
They have people commenting the race in person too? 😮

lol. They were made to be far less loud actually.
What section was this?
This was section 176 in the chevy gate.
I know it's a video....but definitely not the same. So much quieter.
