I was at this race last year as well. I was in the 400's by Pit Exit. What incredible atmosphere all day long. I never seen so many people at one sporting event ever like that in my life and it was amazing. It was my first Daytona 500, 3rd ever race weekend at Daytona. I already want to go back again.
This is so great! I get emotional just watching everyone cheering. And those crashes I forgot about the last one, whipped out so many cars at the end. What a great day and you captured it so well. Can't wait for the next one. You are very talented!
The USAF Thunderbirds flying by multiple times as the field gets set makes this feel like a racing video game. I bet it's unbelievable to experience! I gotta make a trip for the 500 one of these years.
As someone who's been both a fan in the stands and a media member in the infiled, nothing compares to being at the track, but this comes pretty darn close. Nice job.
I was at The Clash about a week ago. There’s something different about seeing a Cup race in person, let alone being a couple steps away from 22 roaring machines zooming by you.
We sat at the s/f at talladega and the sound the next gen gars make as they come through the trioval towards you is something you'll never forget. I've been to many cup races through the years and nothing I've ever heard at any of them can compare to that sound.
@@ihateracin It was an awesome day....quite the spectacle, great crowd and all that. the race this past year was marginal, tho. Very VERY limited passing, no real action, minimal cautions the effect being it was in terms of time the shortest race in Cup history. But VERY glad we went!
enjoy it man, came down here last year with a buddy and somehow it’s drawn me back alone this year and i don’t mind it one bit, 800 miles of racing tomorrow, it’s gonna be great!
Looks like a lot of fun!! I’m Canadian & live in Windsor,Ontario, Canada which is right across the river from Detroit. The nearest Nascar track for us is the wicked fast 2 mile super speedway at “Michigan International Speedway” which is D-shaped. That is a true horse power track with no restricter plate & for awhile there with the package they were running drivers were hitting around 210mph going into turns 1 & 3.
Im from leamington and i went to the 2019 michagan race, but it got rained out and i couldnt make the reschedule. Ended up going to chicagoland that same year. In 2023 i went to pocono, and i plan to go to the brickyard this year. Us canadians love nascar too
This is peak American culture right here and I fucking love it. Fuckin loud cars screaming around a track for hundreds of laps for hours on end with the beautiful smell of exhaust and greasy foods with thousands of sponsor signs everywhere. It does not get any better than this
Russian: We have enough fighter planes to have 4 in the skies over Ukraine any time we want. American: We have enough to send an entire Air Wing to do flyovers at 3rd grade graduations.

Someone shot the final 2 laps at autoclub speedway ...from the infield but it's still the best to see an entire lap or two from one camera especially from a grandstand seat. Idk why the broadcasts don't do that...lose the " crank it up" or whatever fake stuff they do and just give tv viewers a few minutes of the fan's perspective. Loved watching this
They don't even do Crank It Up anymore, they rarely show how fast the cars are going either. But it is what it is. I listen to MRN or PRN and just watch the broadcast on TV, I don't listen to their BS.
As an F1 fan, I would love to go to daytona 500 and Daytona Rolex 24 hr. Seems more lively than your typical F1 event where it gets dull sometimes during the start of the race.
@@Alp577 it’s generally like laps 1-5, and the last 5 laps of any major motor sport in the world, but for the entire duration! If you pick a car, and bring some good optics, it’s a pleasure! Bring a camera!

Going to Daytona is definitely on my bucket list. I would especially like to see the Craftsmen Truck Series race under the lights. Great video from a fans perspective up in the stands.
I remember being at the 2003 Daytona 500. I remember waiting for the excitement at the start of the race and the build up for it. I was anticipating the same level of excitement as the Indy 500. It never happened. The INDY 500 is in a league of it's own.

I think she wants to see a Superspeedway race which is why I thought the Coke 400 might be a good choice. There’s too many tracks and races I wanna see, especially Darlington and Martinsville they’re 2 of my favourite tracks 😅

I used to always rag on nascar, I swore I would NEVER attend or watch a race… until I went to my first race: the Coke Zero 400 in 2019. Since then, I’ve been hooked. At least 20 races since then. Nascar is a must see live to understand
I went to my first nascar race last year at Charlotte. I watched arca race then the truck race on Friday night. I didn't think i would be able to sit through the Coke 600 but after watching those 2 races in person I actually might try and go to the 600 this year.
Looked like only a handful finished but after seeing this I have the itch, I may have to give NASCAR a shot. We usually do dirt late model and nhra events.
My favorite Racing Experiences has to be 2021 Southern 500 and 2022 Coca Cola 600 I've been to 3 Southern 500s, 7 Pure Michigan 400s(I went to races at MIS from like 2003 to 2015 every other year seemingly), and 1 race at Martinsville. However the 2022 coca Cola 600 and 2021 Southern 500 were by far my two favorite races I've been too. Even if Denny Hamlin won both races! 🤢
Let’s go!! I’m going this year to the race it’s my first time and I’m in section 108 row 13 seat 21-22, I’m going with my grandma, she went for free in 1995 sense she worked for ups. And I’m so excited for this race I’m also going to the twins in the black and white color section then I’m going to the truck races Friday!
Man its my first Daytona 500 this year for me. section 150, Row 11, seat 5. Which is what, 2-3 sections to the left of start finish. Im going to be RIGHT there when the chaos happens, and for the winner!
I think it does a pretty good job, but yes, it’s hard for people to understand the scale of it from far away, I have a Phoenix championship vid that shows it better!
It's like the Indy 500 except the race isn't as old, there aren't as many people by far, the cars are a lot slower, there isn't much passing...but it's a race so it's somewhat like it.
Around 2-3 hours depending on cautions, weather and length of race. Daytona 500 is 500 miles, cars are going close to 200 miles per hour. Should be around 2 and a half hours

As a Kyle Busch fan I'd like to know nascar why the F did u call a caution for the 99's flat tire when he made it to pit road? Rowdy was ripped off in 2023 Daytona 500.. but in 2024 I have a feeling it's KFB'S year.

Never been to Daytona but did get lucky enough to see Jr win both fall Talladega races in his run of dominance in 01 & 02

As some who went to the 2019 Daytona 500 I highly recommend going to the 500 once in your lifetime it will be a experience you will never forget

I have season tickets at turn 1/pit exit of Kansas Speedway, shit is legendary hearing the cars ramp up for the green flags every single time.

Video doesn’t do it justice. When the pace cars goes off the track. Those cars are already at about 65-70 MPH before they gas it up.
