    I wish you had like 5 million subs, because one you made great content and two is that it seems like all of the content creators who are big, keep repeating, the same thing of oh “I want this suit” and they are just repeating the same most generic ideas. I want gameplay changes, like big changes. I have a list of all the changes that I tried to contact insomniac about if you are interested. But the sad part is even though they are ideas at the chance of insomniac actually, seeing them is low and we only have four months left anyways.
    🔵Graphics, obvious but just make a bigger leap than just a tiny upgrade, kind like how god of war didn’t make a huge leap to ragnorok so try and be the opposite of that
    COMBAT:
    🔵Fov slider to make not just combat but
    gameplay in general more immersive, or exhilarating with a zoomed out one
    🔵Make the basic combat animations different, as so far they seem very similar, we as players have gotten used to these animations for years now and would like something faster, more eccentric, and sleek, with more variation in between.
    Make the enemy impact and effects of Spider-Man’s power more noticeable, ex: enemies flying further, more imbalanced and affected by punches, overall feel etc.
    Let’s Spider-Man interact with the environment more
    Make more web creativity abilities such as making a web net that traps a bunch of enemies in a wide area or sticks them to be immobile, let us use a manual web line to restrain and immobilize enemies to various objects, or make it so whenever you shoot a web when they are near a wall, part of their body gets stuck until the final amount of webs webs them completely like the first game.
    And let us use web lines to parkour and get creative and let us maneuver around our own webs to fight enemies. Another is say a slingshot attack where you can slingshot yourself, enemies, objects etc.
    🔵Take inspiration from web of shadows, let us have more genuine combos to execute cool moves and allow the freedom and fluidity that game has to have follow up attacks such as the web-zip following into many different options to toy with the enemy.
    🔵Make a new defensive/evasive system that has multilels levels to it. For example the dodge, press dodge one and you will slightly tilt your body to avoid the attack (similar to Jedi survivors perfect dodg) so that you don’t have to completely move out of the vicinity but instead you can keep momentum with your attacks, then Double press dodge to perform an evasive dodge more akin to the first two games, and then of course keep the follow up with the jump button after. I know we can parry now and that’s great, but could we potentially block some attacks? Would be more engaging instead of always having to dodge.
    New and multiple dodging animations for each direction that are more acrobatic and sleek
    🔵Make the dodge have less delay so that it is more free flowing and there isn’t a pause after the dodge is done, where you are waiting to get back up again and you can keep moving after the dodge, such as sliding when you push the joystick so you are still moving slightly after the dodge and you can smoothly transition out of it
    also make the distance traveled while evading or any move in general higher and more exhilarating and let us have more control over movement in general because that is a huge aspect for Spider-Man.
    Let us redirect attacks, pretty simple
    🔵Make the abilities have more actual utility and effect, for example, the web pull ability in the first game barely moves the enemy, it should be where most enemies can be pulled straight to you, or at least be able to sweep their legs or something with the webs
    Very specific, but for throwing objects and enemies, let us use our hands as well to manually throw them and bigger objects like web of shadows has, and make the wind up for these animations non existent, and make them very short for example, throwing an object with your webs isn’t a 2 second spin, but rather a quick1 or 2 handed toss or throw so that it is more satisfying and quick.
    🔵Also try to integrate parkour more inside of combat such as leaping over enemies and bouncing between them, over and under poles, walls etc (reminds me, make more moves/abilities where we can target more than one person) to show Spider-Man’s finesse and movement.
    beat down ability sort of like the new one seen in the trailer where you can execute a flurry of attacks very quickly depending on the status of the enemy and situation
    Minor gripe but make some animations like idle ones, running, less awkward and more natural
    TRAVERSAL:
    I am going to quickly list random abilities that would help diversify the traversal, then I will go more in depth of bigger changes/fixes
    Loop de loop around cranes,poles etc
    Pole swinging vertically and horizontally
    Slingshot (mid air) or up a building
    Cool idea to use the web liken mechanic to make your own “pole” to loop de loop and swing off of
    Climbing up web
    Double armed web swings to propel more force forwards and do other things like
    attaching both webs to two buildings and swinging your body to build, momentum and releasing
    Sliding and skiing on surfaces (sunset over drive)
    More elastic web physics
    Now, for the more in-depth and drastic changes, you should incorporate swinging modes with “classic” being more, classic to the first two games, and “expert/realistic“ mode incorporating more physics-based swinging example: webs can be bent by buildings, webs, move and contort in different directions, momentum plays a greater role, and is harder yet skillful and rewarding, and the biggest change would be to allow us to manually aim where we shoot our webs at (sort of like Fortnite) to control, where, in win, you are aiming to swing and calculate your trajectory because honestly, this was a game changer in Fortnite, and felt much more manual and fun and made you feel in control
    Also, improve wall traversal to give us more options in freedom
    And for parkour, this needs a serious overhaul to make it more manual instead of just holding the R2 button and keep the momentum built up and free-flowing and letting us do more things combine with webswinging and parkour like skiing on rails in sliding against things.
    Overall, i’m recommending these things, because I really do care about this franchise and think it will be elevated to a level where the game actually feels like a huge upgrade and not just a “DLC“ with the power of the PS5, the fact that you already have the blueprint and structure of the game done, you have had 3 to 4 years of development, and lots of feedback I someone expect there to be a huge shift in gameplay, because I have no doubt your second game will be good, and great even, but if it doesn’t raise the bar a significant amount, then I don’t feel like it can truly be amazing
    Also, I’m really hoping that the gameplay showcase they showed was from a previous early build, as I’m pretty sure this is a common marketing strategy used to show “worse“ gameplay so that when nearing the release, the current build, they are working with looks a lot better and is an instant buy or hopefully they just didn’t show other optional swing modes or combat options or something like that. It is kind of coping, but nobody else is making any Spider-Man games right now and there’s a lot of potential with these games but I don’t feel like they’re fully realize sometimes because of this stupid trend of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it“ or “it’s a sequel. It doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel” Also feel free to use these ideas in a video. I don’t care I don’t need credit, if you do decide to use them do you have any ideas on how else to get these to insomniac?

      Listen,everything I read was literally on my mind since the beginning of the franchise. Like they have so much talent and resources to make us truly feel like Spiderman with realistic Spider-Man animations and in depth movement overall. They had 5 years to work on it so they either didn’t show it yet or they just barely changed anything!
      I hope they change or improved on the blueprint, cause Im buying the game regardless but after that we all need to keep bothering them about all the details they need to implement in the next game.

      I think the only thing I don’t really care much for is a graphical overhaul, if all of these systems that yourself and many others have recommended were actually implemented it would be the best game of all time

      @@AlStankAss I don’t really care either, a lot of people are crying about the graphics not being a huge upgrade from the trailer and from what I’ve seen, it looks better already, and it’s not even finish, and another contributor to this is the camera angle, and FOV, if they just gave us a simple FOV slider, you could see the more detail textures, and it would look like a next-gen game

    Momentum needs to be brought to life when swinging. You always max out on falling speed and swinging speed, but what if when we fell from avengers tower and swung it’d carry our momentum like it would in real life, or in the movies.

      This game ain't holding your hand you just don't know how to appreciate somthing because you want everything perfect we already got perfect stop holding R2 all the time that exactly why insomniac won't listen to you minorities you don't know how to use the things the game gives properly.
      Saying spiderman levitates a little before the web is just a nitpick and a design flaw nothing more spiderman swinging should be easy something as fun as this shouldn't have a challenge we don't need anything you need to grow up and accept what we got if we got more mechanics thier should be nothing challenging about it it's fun not easy or challenging stick to combat for that dumb stuff this is spiderman not a racing game.
      Spiderman is fun it doesn't need to be better especially with these crappy ideas you should have said this instead.

    As someone who swings on this game a lot for fun, I can say I agree with this because not only does Spider-Man do cool moves to avoid you failing, but sometimes, the game thinks you are going to go into a wall when in reality you’re just trying to make the swinging more fun by swinging closer to the buildings. This leads to spider-man doing a random trick to avoid the building which makes you lose all momentum and can be pretty frustrating at times

    Remember when Peter and Miles were on the phone talking about how in order to web swing efficiently you need to calculate every move while flying through the air? That’s what the swinging needs to feel more like. At least give players seeking to push their skills to the limit the option.

    I really think they should have two separate web swinging modes. Have one for the easier already well known insomniac swinging system, and have Another new swinging system that adds challenging mechanics and more realism. Really wish we also got realistic physics but hey we can’t have everything. Loved the vid and hopefully this game makes the past 2 games look like booty In comparison.

    3 modes for swinging would be great, Classic being like Spider-Man ps4 and miles, Manual for the more experienced players and, Automated or Cinematic mode for players that want a more arcadey web swinging feel

    I 100% agree, I had the same feeling when I played the newer games. It LOOKS cool, but once i realized there was no fall damage or any sense of failure, swinging felt more like a chore, it stpped being fun and exhilerating because there is no sense of danger. There is no adrenaline rush from flying down the city or jumping from a building to swing at the last second because i know nothing will happen if I fail.

    Great points honestly! I've noticed this with a lot of recent big budget titles, and not that it's a terrible thing it's absolutely cool and cinematic but it does take the controls from the player and I think in some cases that takes away from the experience. I agree there should be options to be able to customize for that type of thing. Not everyone wants a ball crushingly difficult or realistic experience, but at least give them the option.
    I'm gonna be dating myself here, but I think a neat implementation of it could be similar to the old Tony Hawk games, but like swinging instead of skating. Sometimes you do cool tricks and sometimes you eat shit but you get better and are able to judge that better for next time.
    Great video man, I'm so hyped to see how this game does. It really looks cool, and I'm pumped for the story cause anything involving the Symbiotes in any regard is instant S tier for me.

    You convinced me. Web swinging would be way more fun and engaging if there was more chance for failure. I kinda like the auto wall run when making contact while swinging but I’d love for there to be momentum stopping obstacles on the roads and even attachments to buildings that stick out a decent bit. Maybe even face plant a wall if you aren’t swinging. It would make the time spent going from place to place better!

      @@The-Legend-of-P The weight and momentum are consistent, with the option to toggle web assist and increased speed. Overall, they've done a good job, and I'm pleased. I hope they add the ability to run along the floor while swinging and a way to maintain momentum after landing on a rooftop.

    Part of me feels like Insomniac knows the expectations for the web-swinging are higher now that it’s a PS5-focused game. There are so many things that they can implement to enrich the swinging mechanics for the players, especially those who have played the previous 2 (or 3) games. The gliding is such a good implementation because it’ll keep things fresh. However, if they don’t at least try to improve the swinging (you know, what makes Spider-Man, Spider-Man) then I’ll genuinely be upset. I trust Insomniac.

      Thing is they confirmed the speed of the web swinging has been raised from the other two games, meaning the momentum aspect of the traversal has been improved according to them. But I honestly can't put much judgment on it until we get more footage of the web swinging since we got very scripted set pieces. I feel we'll get a better idea if they release footage of the open world.

      ​​​@@proto245remembered when they teased us in the 2017 gameplay and people were mad about the slow web swinging only to learn that the demo of the swinging was done slowly on purpose. That gameplay was only using R2 without pressing X.
      When the 2018 webswing demo came people got shocked lmao.

    I think with the swinging into a wall and talking damage that wouldn’t really work with the wall running function. Unless you have to press a button to activate wall run which then it becomes a need to rework the base system which would take longer than it’s worth and I’m not mad at them for taking the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” route and building off what they had in the previous 2 iterations. As much as I’d love advanced swinging if they attempted that we’d have a much longer waiting period and it’d be more trouble than it’s worth for the team

    I absolutely agree with every single thing you're saying here. I love Spiderman and my biggest complaint with the last game was no fall damage, and since they fixed that it was awesome and I love it. The next thing I want them to do is make the web lines actually physically react, like if you're going around a corner I want the web to get short cause it's getting caught on thew wall not phase through it.

    I wish you could gain a ridiculous amount of momentum while web swinging or have advanced web swinging mechanics. The big appeal of these games are not necessarily the cinematic portions or beating up thugs, I’d argue it’s mainly the web swinging aspect of it

    I actually traded emails with the studio during the making of the first game and I told them they should have fall damage. The response I got was that wasn’t the game they wanted to make. They said they believed it made people feel more like a superhero by not fearing a fall.🙄

    I respect your opinion. If the web swinging becomes advanced it would be awesome. But im worried they might complicate the feature. it might become hard to understand for some people. According to me they should let the player choose between a "simple" and "advanced" web swinging mode.

    I COMPLETELY agree with your points. Every bit. The realism of swinging is what hooked me back when Spider-Man 2 release when I was but a wee lad. Do I think they'll switch it up in Insomniac's games? Probably not, but i won't let that stop what i believe should be the web swinging system.
    The polish, animations, and speed will make the web swinging engaging. Despite the automation, learning how it kicks in during gameplay can be a skill in itself. Once you learn that, you can forcefully try and go with the momentum of your weblines. This gives the illusion of flow, and in the end can look very satisfying. Nothing will beat the real thing, but this is as coose as you can get with thr arcade-like feel.

    I would love a "dodge" mechanic while swinging, where you can dodge traffic lights and shit if you swing to low.

    I think they should add an automation feature in the accessibility settings, maybe make it on by default, but have the ability to turn it off. I think there is skill involved in the swinging from the old games, but if they add failure and such it could become much more skillful, and give you an incentive to just swing around the city, for the sake of practicing. As for the momentum, while It could provide issues for moments when you are trailing an enemy or something like that, for example, in the older games, using enhanced swing speed mods, even if only slightly, allow me to completely pass shocker while chasing him. However, in the new gameplay reveal, it is slightly disappointing to see miles build up so much speed from catapulting himself in the air, and then watch the visibly noticeable slow down in speed when he web swings. It won't make or break the game for me, hell, it won't even be a negative factor, but it would be cool if they added momentum and higher skill based swinging.

    Lowkey aged bad. I didn't like how the wings seemed to play in the first trailer, but actually playing it myself changed my view. It made swinging 10x better. Not to mention turning off swinging assist makes it much more skill based.

      The entire video serves as a plea for what they actually implemented: to enhance the swinging experience, making it *'arguably'* more skill-based (as you said they added a way to disable swing assist).
      So I believe the video has aged like fine wine-I'll glaze myself lol. I briefly mentioned the web wings in a small portion of the video and didn't criticize them at all; I merely raised a valid concern, a concern might I add is still valid.

    I just loved the web swinging in the last two games, it’s almost therapeutic in a sense. It’s nice to be able to do cinematic wall runs, swing close to the ground, and experiment without feeling anxious that I’d crash into something.
    However, I can see the argument being made here. The feeling of actually getting better, honing your skills not just as Spider-Man, but as the player. That is a nice risk-reward ratio. Sometimes, I just want to turn my brain off and swing.
    I hope they find a way to balance both sides.

    I agree with everything you said but even if they don’t do what you said. They should at least add a variety of swinging/traversal animations. We need more…. I repeat more animations, having more animations in every aspect of Spiderman, we wouldn’t get bored soo easily!

    Im sure we will infact there was one. But from what we see your swing speed seems faster. However even if it barley changed or maby did not change at all. I wouldn't be too upset the first game is still the best web swinging we have ever seen and i dare say some of the best traversal we have ever seen.

    They really need to amaze us with the web swinging. After all, that’s one of the most fun things to do as Spider-Man. I think they should increase the speed a bit more, add more flair to animations, take inspiration from old games and use their mechanics like WoS and Spider-Man 2 and let the swinging be more physics based and even ultimate Spider-Man with the web climbing or running against the walls if you swung close to them.

    I noticed they stayed away from walls, or building during gameplay making the focus the set pieces and the symbiote, it could mean they didn’t wanna show us everything and they’re hiding new wall and parkour mechanics and hopefully some new swinging mechanics outside of the gliding ( for the love of god let my feet touch the ground when I swing)

    I could not agree more. I’ve had this in mind since Spider-Man PS4 came out. While it’s visually stunning and cinematic, the depth in swinging is really needed. Unfortunately, they sre catering to casual gamers. There should be two swinging options. But this will never happen. This generation will probably just get offended by it.

    The best part about games is that after all of those failures we don't give up and we keep going and get better at the game like for instance the skate trilogy when you fail it shows your character hit a wall and it does the xray animation show the character break his bones and rven after that we keep going and learn better skate tricks mistakes are made so we can learn from the better

    I agree with you, you should have been based off of how Spider-Man was in the movies. The real is on of web swinging. Because we didn't see miles make any mass ups at all only Peter from the first spider-man and to me if you're just getting your powers you should mass up I mean every super hero mass up all the time.

    I don’t see why they can’t just have an expert webslinging option and the same old automated option from the previous 2 games.
    Let me be able to hold onto to my webs, crash into walls, run along the ground while holding onto webs, be able to hold onto 2 webs at the same time, shoot webs from each individual hand with L2/R2, and move faster without any weird upwards arching necessary to gain any sort of momentum.

      I agree, but sadly i don't think we're going to see any of that in the sequel. Also am I the only one that thinks its weird that with the release of the first game, insomniac released loads of interviews talking about the gameplay and showing e3 and updated footage. And with the sequel, we've had one trailer and one piece of gameplay in about two years. It's just kinda odd.

    Feel the problem with web swinging is the lack of player expression and the hand holding the hand holding is for folks that just wanna pick up the game and feel like Spider-Man which works but it also limits players that wants to push the system I have two solutions ether add an automatic and manual mode or (my personal favorite) have tricks be more expansive instead of tricking in between swings have us be able to trick while on the line, while running on buildings, while doing parkour etc just turn the game into Tony hawk pro skater if we fail a trick we get punished hard but it’ll make us feel even cooler to pull off a extremely long trick combo

    I would love to see more in depth web swinging. Consequences to mistakes, like damage for running face first into a wall. I don’t think they’ll implement this though since most people don’t seem to care about that stuff.

      The wall thing reminded me. What I always wonder is why can Spider-Man be immune to all fall damage from any height available in New York City (at least), but a street thug’s punch can do damage? Since it’s all blunt impacts.

      @@removedm another thing to mention is that challenge and depth doesn’t take away mainstream appeal. Resident evil 4 remake, (I haven’t played it, but) elden ring, and my favorite game doom eternal were all had depth and could be brutally hard and were all very successful critically and financially.

      That doesn't excuse certain stuff being automated by the game
      By that logic vehicles should automatically drive away from obstacles and stop and go on their own in a racing game or GTA game, guns and weapons should automatically shoot enemies with little to no input in first and third person shooters cause the characters are experienced
      Spider-Man being experienced is no excuse for handholy mechanics. There are past videogame Spider-Men that have been Spider-Man longer like Web of Shadows version which is just the comic version in game form. That game made stuff like wall crawling and running player controlled and unlike Insomniac's jank wall traversal you could move in all directions

    Swinging needs to have fails similar to combat. After replaying a chunk of the first game and now playing Miles Morales, I can say the combat in both games is stellar. Sure, some fine tuning and upgrades are needed, but it’s powerful and acrobatic.
    I feel like Miles Morales took the swinging and added a slight amount of control (in comparison to the first game). I’ve already fumbled a couple of times, but when you nail a turn around the corner, coupled with a dodge pull that lets you land on a wall and wall run around another corner, that’s a cool feeling that cannot quite be given justice through text or video.
    Realistically, they need to make more complicated swinging an option. If you want the training wheels, you can have them, but if you choose for a more complex system, it should be integrated into the next game.
    They’ve laid the foundation for the literal best Spider-Man movement system ever, they just need to give us control when playing.

    A bunch of press talk was released today and it seems like the traversal is the exact same except slightly faster. No loops, no touching the ground, no depth. Some people are saying there's a fall damage toggle but they won't provide a source. Overall, incredibly disappointed so far with what we know of the traversal.

      @@removedm So it seems like some people are confirming that you can actually do a loop when diving and the TASM2 corner tug. It still doesn't seem to be physics based as it sounded like you have to unlock the move first (not 100% sure), but it's definitely better than nothing.

A good game exists to push gameplay as that is what sets it apart from other media. Sony games have basic gameplay and exist to tell stories, this is not a bad this but I categorize them differently for that reason.

    Same here. I’m 27, been playing spider man games since 2002. The only thing I want is realistic physics while swinging. The new games are too easy, it’s like driving a car in GTA that never crashes.
    Also it doesn’t make sense to jump off a skyscraper and be ok. In the older games you’d die.

    I've been AKSING someone to share my opinions on the web swinging for literally 3 yrs now since the miles game came out. Every mf I talk to ab it only cares about new suits or new areas but what I think really matters is new gameplay mechanics. I mean this is a ps5 exclusive game. MAKE IT FEEL NEXT GEN. Give us near realistic graphics and more realistic npc's, environments, and swinging animations etc. If we just get a spiderman ps4 duplicate only with queens and the Bronx added, I'll be a lil pissed. Albeit I'll play the mf all day and night, but I'll be a lil bothered.

    Im going to be honest I love the insomniac web swinging I get why people want spiderman 2 web swinging but I prefer being able to parkour while web swinging it makes me feels like Spiderman but I do think there is a middle ground Insomniac should add spiderman 2 web swinging mode that you can use like a classic or new version seen in games like mafia

    Just played upon release for a few hours and the swinging feels so much worse than miles morales, i cant choose when to create a web anymore, i'll let go of R2 then hold it again and they'll shoot a web 2 seconds later when im liable to hit the ground or i get stuck in a triple backflip animation... It also likes to throw me towards a building im trying to swing AROUND and turns me around for no reason sometimes while swinging, camera and all

      @@removedm yup, tried adjusting it a bunch, no assist/low assist was the best i could get but still ran into a bunch of problems and didnt fix the swing delay or animation loops, higher assists would constantly attach webs on the right as i swing left or attach webs on the left as i swing right completely clotheslining me into a building accross the street which i didnt experience in the previous 2 games, it would attach webs on the side i was pointing the left stick towards and allow me to slingshot round buildings
      Idk just feels like im fighting the assist way more on this game but without assist (or on setting 2) you cant get the "height assist" where you can start swinging really low and get height gradually without smacking into the floor losing all momentum (and dying if you have fall damage turned on for funsies)
      With 0 or 1 assist you have to constantly watch your height because it wont stop you smacking into the floor (and there isnt a swinging run gimmick move like amazing spider man 2) and anything 2 or above stops you from actually controlling your swings yourself, its infuriating, its like theyve designed this game specifically for the reviewer that couldnt complete the cuphead tutorial

    I disagree. Simple as that. If people don't want to play the game because they don't think it has changed enough, then that's none of my business.
    Same sentiment towards people who think the traversal or combat needs a complete overhaul instead of improving what's already there (majority of the ideas that I've seen and heard require the game to have an overhaul). Call me whatever you want, but I'll still enjoy the game and find my own issues with it (If i even find any at all).

      They are not perfect lmfao. Spidey only swings from one web despite him swinging occasionally from two in the movies and some older games, there's no web climbing to gain additional height, he cannot do loop-de-loops, there's moon gravity when Spidey gets close to the ground which fucks up immersion cause movies and games would just have a sequence where Spidey slides his hands across the ground or run on it whilst swinging so he doesn't lose momentum
      Also the diving mechanics is so bad, it doesn't transfer to your swing unlike Spider-Man 2 where the location and height of where you dived from played a role into how much speed you'd gain. In Insomniac's diving from the Avengers Tower feels no different than diving from a regular building, they use camera tricks to fool you into thinking otherwise but luckily there's a mod for the PC version which removes the camera tricks and just shows how safe they went with it

      And all things coming the same dumbass community who's bitching about "downgraded" graphics and water physics....haha...yeah okay. Because let's be real here...Insomniac would have to re-work the swining mechanics JUST TO ADD a new difficulty to the swinging. What time would they have just to do that. Developing a game isn't that simple. Plus, say if they do add new swinging mechanics... y'all will either abuse the mechanics, bitch that it's too hard or clunky, or bitch that they didn't add more...yall expect WAY TOO MUCH...Shut up!

    I agree there needs to be a physics aspect to the traversal and momentum needs to actually carry over

    I feel most of your points could be summed up by making it an option in the games settings. Yes it would be nice to have mistakes but to newer players or people who just can't be bothered, having your mistakes be full throttled - eg slamming into a wall - just isn't practical. As for spider-man dying and etc, it's called selecting a difficulty, that seems obvious. You have good points but they merely top them selves as basic because they can be easily 'disproved' if you will.

      @removedm I definitely get where ur coming from and hope the game includes smth like this. Plus having Miles make mistakes would've made more sense in the second game, they kinda did this by having him slam into the ground when flipping.
      But using your own point against u here, it wouldn't be too 'realistic' for spiderman to be slamming into stuff when messing up swings, he has 8+ years of experience so he would counter it.
      But I digress I agree w some of ur points and continue making amazing content.

    While I won’t deny that I agree improving the swinging and traversal is a must. I’d argue the swinging in the insomniac games still rewards you for skillful playstyle. If you look up advanced swinging techniques you’ll see tons of videos doing a lot of impressive swinging. Now I’ll agree it’s not Spider-Man 2 but I’ll be fair no Spidey game since 2 has that same physiques and momentum yes including web of shadows it has a lot of in depth mechanics but it’s different compared to Spidey 2.

      @@removedm If I’m gonna be honest while I can understand where you’re coming from. This whole simple nature doesn’t bother me. Mostly cause the traversal still requires skill. Is it Spider-Man 2? No absolutely not however I’d argue it doesn’t need to be. It should try and focus on being good and in depth enough for skilled players to feel rewarded for doing new maneuvers casuals don’t do. However it’s simple enough for casuals to just swing around normally. I will say I’m fine with an easy swing and manual swing mechanic for Spidey 2.
