Thank you for the review. We just recently bought a home and found out, not too long after, that the house came with a feral cat that the previous owners fed. They moved behind the house we purchased. She came by one day noticing we left food out for it and she offered to take care of it for us. Of course, it was our pleasure to take over responsibilities. It was so sweet, her concern for Spooky Boo. He is such a sweet little guy with the disadvantage of poor eye sight. She made us aware that he has trouble hunting. I worry for his safety because he can't fend for himself. I love that this house has two exits for predators. Even non feral cats bully him. Last night we had a freeze and I was so worried about the cat. I'm thinking of ordering this. I hope he warms up to it. I feel like he would die of cold before trusting this house but it's worth a shot. He is hard to trust. Wish me luck.
I came here for refresher instructions as I just bought my second double-wide heated house. I have had two of the K&H houses, one big one, one smaller for about 6 years and they have held up well. I have three ferals I take care of, they are siblings, 2 boys and 1 girl. I have seen all three of them come out of the double wide house, but they are bonded. I don't think non-bonded cats would go into the same house, though. I saw where the green house was on sale (55% off) at Chewy and decided to purchase another one. The red one is not on sale. Thanks for the instructions, I just wanted to make sure I put it together correctly.
My wife and I just got one of these. We have the smaller version already and we love it. It’s out in the elements all year round and it never gets wet inside
Hi Terry. We have a lot of feral cats at my moms. I need to send this to her. We set up heaters etc. This may be a better solution! I’m most excited about the ease and heater! Thank you for taking care of those cats! 🤗Mona
Can you use an extension cord all the houses I've seen so far have a short cord so I'm not sure how I can run that to an outlet without using one especially for outside
We have the smaller one in red , purchased 2 for a couple of tabby ferals that showed up in the dead of winter two years ago, kept in the garage and plugged them in , they practically lived in them alllll winter !!! Its not waterproof tho , needs to be kept in a covered area. They also didn't like the flaps, had to take our front ones out too !
I love that you take care of ferals. I have two house cats that used to be strays myself.

Thanks Mona, we love to help the kitties and I hope this helps your Mom!
For extra warmth you probably could buy some insulation board and cut it out for the inside
