Broooooo. This is the best detailed video i have found online. Your channel should have at least 500k followers.. Well, let me help you with that. Since you helped me do my first oil change, you got a new subscriber.
good video. I'd recommend not using air to try to drain out more oil, use some fresh oil since youll have over half quart extra to flush out first. A lot of people have dirty, wet air in their air compressors. Also a micrometer at the chain tightening step makes it so alignment is perfect too. About to do the first service on my 2024 black zx6r also
very good point. my compressor is new and drained daily, but I never thought of dirty wet air on older compressors. Never thought of using a micrometer. I'll definitely start using that tool for chain adjustment now.
I did my first and second oil change at 200 and 900. Ive heard a lot of people say it helps get rid of the metal shavings and beter for the engine break in. Who knows. Nice bike i have the same setup but RPW
i did my first service at 250km/1 month as my running were low.. now its at 1400km and my second service is scheduled next month .. should i skip the oil change? dealership said you can skip it and get your oil changed every year as your running is low..
@@ScooterNinjayou shouldn’t be “running low” unless you have a leak or you’re burning oil. Also I wouldn’t listen to that guy. One oil change a year is not nearly enough.
Nice bike and great job but can’t mix coolant it might gel up specially with that coolant you put in.Also needed to clean the chain every 400 to 600 miles.
At 14:33 you put the same counter pin back on? But you also bend it when before it wasn’t bent so if you take it off again would you just need to replace it I’m sorry I’m new to bikes
Would the engine mess up if I top off the coolant with what you show in your video? because the coolant is green and you have blue. Genuine question, I want to do this as well but still new.
What you want to check is propylene glycol and ethylene glycol on the bottle. Kawasaki uses a green one and Honda uses the same exact formula but it’s blue. If you were to mix ethylene with propylene let’s say half and half you’ll have weaker cooling because they each react at different temps. If you were to mix the two and just did a top off where one ratio is way more than the other type you’ll be ok.

@@alyssapate1170 too late im already on my 2nd oil change at 1300 miles. Absolutely loving my bike its dialed!!
Bummer that the swingarm spool area is already scratched from lifting the bike from rear. Nice video.
Also I have a 2023 zx6r tuned and I Change my oil every 1200 to 1500. Using AMSOIL in all my bikes and cars never had issues.

That’s one way to do it.
Why is your bike running low on oil? Is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

How do you make sure that the wheel is aligned after you adjust the chain tension?
How did you get the chain guard off the bolt is directly behind the rear set you seamed to have glazed over that part in the video
What is the chain guard removal for?
In the video you removed it to check the alignment with the alignment tool
Felicitaciones primo
How about clutch lever adjustments?
they usually come with the right amount of tension during uncrating. i would recheck it at around 10k miles

you can reuse a cotter pin once. anymore than that and it can break off when you bend it back. it loses integrity the more you bend it back and forth
Use new oil to wet filter o ring
Doesn't matter much...
Unless you were rubbing oil and mud together over the rubber o ring, you'll be fine with a little of the old oil
Do you lose your warranty if you install de cat pipe?
No
Great info Eddie
Is Ravenol Racing 4-T SAE 10W-40 moto oil, Good for Zx6r 2024 too? Thanks for the respond and info.
