- Performed the first service on my ZX4RR. More install videos coming in the next couple days. Will have the bike on track in the next few weeks as well!
Noticed a lot more new riders buying this bike than what I expected. Figured this video may help them out along the way.

Well done, keep up the good work. I've just purchased a ZX-4RR and your videos are helping a lot.
Did you do your first oil change yet? I am getting ready to do mine wondering if should bother with removing the fairing, or just go from the bottom, any thoughts?
Nice work, you've been awarding this amazing youtube trophy for your amazing channel🏆
Keep it up! #ZX4RRSquad
Good video bro! Great job!
Lol what are the chances I'm watching this for the first time on May 19 2024 which is your 1 year service date 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The very Sexy Blue '72 H2 was rated at 74 Horse power and claimed quarter mile times very near 12 seconds, It had bigger pistons than the 500 H1 and revved much slower.
Excellent vids buddy, killing it lately, I’m an experienced rider and still enjoy your vids. It’s like watching a therapy session for the gods… ;) great stuff!
That’s awesome to hear, thank you!! Hoping to get more out soon!
Make a video of the Zx-4rr adjusting the chain slack. I have one myself l. It would really help me out bro.
Would you do me a favor and go through the menu for the setting of the year on the date screen. I tried to set mine but I went to 2024 and can't figure out how to adjust it back to 2023. I just got mine yesterday.
Hello there lucky~
The Original Z1 was said to be 82 Horse Power 542 pounds and very pretty. Less than $25 Hundred bucks.
Still considered to be "The King of Motorcycles". Get that Baby 'Flashed
Can you tell me the exact tools used for this please? For example, what's the thing at the end of the torque wrench when you tighten the oil filter?
bro u gotta hear mine youll be obsessed with her even more lol
Can u change the filter without opening its coverset?
Why use the kawasaki oil for the first change and not normal oil? I have Mobil 1 T4 Racing oil I was planning on putting in is there a reason to go back to the kawasaki dealer and get the kawasaki motor oil?
Great vid. Where did you get tank grips for 4RR?
Techspec, it’s what I put on all of my bikes. Ordered the set for the zx25r since it’s the same.
Why would a wire by throttle make a buzzing noise? My understanding is it’s sending an electrical signal to the engine control unit which in turn controls the throttle bodies. I think your first prognosis ie noisy fuel is more likely! Does your Z900 make a similar noise? Thanks for uploading very informative.
I think the noise only happens _after_ you play with the ECU. I don't remember it before that but I could be wrong. It freaked me out too, I thought my ECU was broken or something, but it seems to work fine.
Why do you remove the evap cannister on your bikea?
Hey bro, can you please tell me what type of torque wrench you have used ?
What is the part number for the filter ?
how far over the 1000km first service can I go ?
I went to my dealer to have the first service. I remember with my other bikes like my RS660 that the oil cha ge interval was like 3,000 miles or so after the first change. Why will you chnage after 600 again? Is it because you are tracking it? I dont do track, but am i supposed to do another oil chnage in 600? Thanks in advance.
Just my preferred way to break in. Probably completely unnecessary but I’ve done it for years so just stick to it at this point lol. As long as your changing your oil every year or few thousand miles, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but the Kawasaki service manual says to have your oil changed after your first 600 miles. (This is also the end of the break in period for Kawasaki bikes). Then you change after every few thousand miles.
What rank grip did you end up going with? Is it ZX 4RR specific?
Techspec tank grip for the Zx25r (exact same bodywork)
Hello. Also have z900. Could you please tell me the brand of the exhaust? Thank you!
CS Racing, out of Brazil. Highly recommend it, awesome look and sound without being insanely loud.
I live in the Ozarks and I have this exact bike. Has this trip come and gone already? Lets rip some shit up, sir.
Aww man I was there the last week of May. Roads were incredible, I want to come back!
Básicamente es el mismo filtro que lleva la ninja 400 .....es el mismo código vdd
curious how comfortable you are on the zx-4rr? I am debating buying a zx-4r but i'm 6'3 240lbs I sat on it at the dealer and it felt cramped. do you find you have anymore comfort on the 900?
I find it very comfortable at 5’11” 175lbs…I’ve yet to do more than about 150 miles in one ride though. Next week I’m going to ride a couple thousand miles through the Ozarks and choose to take the z900 as I know I’m comfortable all day long on it.
I would bet on the 4RR definitely feeling cramped for you the way an r3 does for me.
Always comes back to what type of riding you’re going to do too
@@TREY_ON_TWO for sure, i just want one so bad haha. I don't think I really need all day comfort on it, I suspect 200 miles would be my max daily ride on it. It's going to be a 3rd bike, just for fun rides.
@@tennyis28 go for it! I bought it mainly for that fun purpose as well, I think this will be one of the most fun bikes on the market!
My Bike was the very Naked, '72 H1-B. Around 422 pounds dripping wet. A
claimed 60 Horse Power.
Pulled screaming Wheelies at 90 MPH to shame the old Viet veterans on their convoys of Electra Glides.
What bike is the one on the far right? The small green one? Grom? Z125?
With the pro taper bars
@@rammi2vicious454 it’s a kx65 converted for roadracing on go kart tracks. There is an entire mini bike racing scene and they are great training tools. Lots of fun and wayyyy faster than you would expect.
What number is the oil filter
16097-0008 same as most Kawasaki’s
Does the fairing have to come off to get to the filter? I know I didn't have to take it off on the Ninja 400.
Nope, I just did it for convenience and because I had some other mods going on afterwards.
@@TREY_ON_TWO Right on, doing my first oil change on my new ZX-4RR this weekend! Appreciate the content!
@@djmohab2 Thank you! Hope you're loving the bike!
@@TREY_ON_TWO it was a joy road tripping it down to Tucson from Denver, where I bought it! Just have to decide what flash and what exhaust to put on it!
@@djmohab2 How did your first oil change go, did you end up needing to remove fairing?
Where’d u get the bike stands from? What brand?
I have a few different brands, these were Pit Bull stands which are some of the best out there. Well worth the price, they'll last forever and are very solid.
@@TREY_ON_TWO so they’re more expensive because of what, they’ll last longer than other stands?
@@tiger2q Yes, Pit Bull is more sturdy and has higher quality parts. They are made from one solid piece of metal rather than multiple pieces bolted together. This means they will not flex/warp/break over time. Very heavy duty.
Just one commentnon oil for newdies oil in bike is special, it lubes top end gear box and clutch. Car oil is useless. Use quality proper bike oil only. Gears shear oil hard andbclutchnuses it for lubrication and for bite. Use proper bike oil only.
Clean bikes faster bike less weight better aero. Proven fact my bike is always faster after wash and wax. Just glides tgrough air. Washing is part of good maintenance, like chain sprockets lubing chain etc.
