    Thank you very much for this video. I am about to buy a 182 during the next days. I really love this car, I know it is not perfect and it has a lot of flaws but for me... It's perfect. I intend to keep it for long time. Cheers.

    A friend of mine is selling his inferno orange 182 in a few months. Very tempted to buy it off him 🙂. He’s owned it for 4 years and never given him any trouble. On 140k miles. All standard apart from springs, bilstein dampers and a miltek exhaust.
    Does a few hundred miles a week normally on motorway and runs pretty decent.
    Hopefully will work out a deal 🤞🏻

    i have a 172 cup that ive owned for 5yrs now. owned one from new previously amongst other clio sports including a williams. my cup is now modified with bilstein b14s, rear safety devices cage, bucket seats, whiteline rear arb, solid top mounts and is a weekend toy. great fun to drive and an ongoing project. i have clio 197 cams ready to go in when the cambelt is next changed and also a ttv lightened flywheel and i am going to fully polybush it. so many bits you can upgrade on these to improve the already great package and ive kept all the original bits should i want to revert it back to standard one day.

    Just found this video after picking one up. I'll be selling my much more modern Polo GTI to restore one I picked up to its former glory and hopefully enjoy it for the next few years. I'll miss the punch of the turbo, but as a younger, I've never experienced what a NA analog hot hatch was like.

      @FastandFun  9 місяців тому +1

      Coming from a turbo you’ll probably find that you’re grabbing the next gear way too early. You must keep your foot in and let the 2.0 sing and kick at around 5,000rpm all the way up to 8,000rpm! Enjoy 👍🏻

      @@FastandFun Didn't expect a response. but yeah first couple times I drove it I was changing too early. I was too used to the gti gettin up to 3500 to 4500 rpm before it tapered off. I see now why Honda people and people driving NA vvt engines say to really stay on the revs now. When I first felt the engine really pick up around the redline mark, it really is different.

    Great video, Rich. Wish I’d managed to prize this from you earlier this year instead of the rot box of an EP3 I ended up with 😩

    Heard the aux belt and tensioner is just as important as the cambelt and needs changjng every 3 years or 36k miles.

    •  3 місяці тому

      It's a good idea to change it regularly but it's not nearly as critical as the cam belt.

    Great video mate! I personally feel like I could live with one as a daily as quirks such as short gearing, driving position etc wouldn't bother me. I'd say the only stumbling block for me would be any reliability issues. What can I expect in terms of that?

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  Рік тому +1

      I’ve experienced niggling faults rather than any serious issues. But I’ve only done 3k miles in mine over the past 2 and a half years!

      Had mine 8 years was 80K now 137K, don't know if I've been lucky but I've not had many big problems,coil packs, leads,lambda sensor, ABS ring, that and usual tyres and discs and pads.

    Great vids, advice if possible. I’ve recently bought a 182, abs light ,service light,traction light come on occasionally but go when turned off and on. It’s had a new lamba sensor and there was a bad earth to rear lights all sorted. But it’s come back any idea’s 😂

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  Рік тому +1

      Most likely an ABS sensor - that triggers those x3 lights on the dash

  • @19keverick91

    Would you reccomend a 182 or an fn2 type r ?

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  Рік тому

      I’ve never driven an FN2 CTR but from what I understand I’d that they are quite heavy compared with the EP3. The 182 is a lightweight hot hatch that are now dead forever and although not great as a daily driver, give me a B road and I’d take the 182 everytime

    I wouldn’t say the BG 182 is a top top colour on them - I had a mint one before I sold it for a focus RS

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  Рік тому

      I didn’t say that either (did I?) - I put silver and then BG on the bottom of the hierarchy of colours 🤷‍♂️
