I really enjoyed listening to this. You've always seemed to have a way of crawling into the nooks and crannies of a synth to the point of even making a mediocre synth sound good. When done on something like the M, that's already pretty spectacular, it only makes it more impressive.
Fantastic work! Thank you so much for putting this video together! You go deeper than most reviewers. It really helps generate ideas and shows the potential of the machine.
Thank you for making a video including this synth’s updated features! I’ve been watching every video on this synth for the last few months while doing research, and almost all of them are totally out of date and don’t mention the features brought after release. This is basically a brand new synth now, not just a retro reissue. Hopefully one day I’ll save enough to get one myself!
Seems really cool and pleasing to the ear. Outside my price range but I like how companies are putting more analogue components in their digital instruments
Cool video Paulee., what an odd minimalist synth. It was never on my radar. Thanks for the show-n-tell tho, it looks like a great playground if you have the right mindset. Looking forward to your next video dive. 🙂
Loved the vocal, choral stuff. That's in my zone for sure. I love the wavetable stuff on the Prologue though tbh, which can a lot of PPG and Microwave buisness, perhaps with a tad less finess!
ive watched as many vids on the Waldorf M as i can find, and this is easily my favourite. I'm not good with manuals and so learning through Video demonstrations with my M has been the way ive delved deeper. Please do something more on the M, and if it interests you the Prophet 10 rev 4!! thankyou....
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 Hi !! Thankyou for responding, and greetings from Melbourne, Australia. The main things that come to mind with the M are the interesting or maybe advanced potentials with the arpeggiator, and then also using multi timbral mode. Using multi timbral mode as a 4 part drum machine is something ive read is possible from latest firmware updates and that does intrigue me. Mostly though i'm happy to see more of what you simply find interesting and want to show about the M.
I think the Microwave was pretty popular in 90’s music production…I’d definitely say it works well for Ambient, paired with a nice reverb. Very interesting wavetable sweeps. I don’t know enough about the other genres to offer any help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great video and now with the M56300 emulator, I can finally own a slew of these synths. (much like the MAME team have reverse engineered synths I was at Yamaha R&D for, like the XG series)
If you watch Reverb in US I've seen them as low as 899.00. I think some people really dismissed how good this synth is, once the midi sync is resolved I believe it will be my favorite synth module I own.
This has to be the best M video on youtube. Thank you, I come back here every couple months and it inspires me to get really creative on my M.
Thanks for stopping by everyone 😊
Hi!Sad to say, this video is not starting in my browser.... the 5 minutes on Sonicstate worked. Will try again tomorrow ;-)

+1 big thank you! so helpful and inspiring
thanks for the laid back delivery. thats a pace i can follow
I read mindfulness meditation classes at work 😂
I want to say thank you for one of the best videos of this synth on the Tube. The other best videos are the two called something like "M No talking"
This is a delightful and informative video. Thanks Paulee. This really wasn’t something I’d been interested in and now I have to play one.
Love the M. this is great work you're doing. I used to use the old microwave in my band "Adam and his Apples"
Thanks! I now have a second video in this series, covering the Korg Drumlogue :)

“If that sound knocks on your door you do not open it” 😆
Great video!
A great show and tell! thanks! I tend to end up with the Alesis Micron or the Waldorf blofeld myself for some unknown reason.
Fabulous delivery - Just got back into Hardware after a few years - so thank you
Great to hear!
Wow, you did some really cool stuff with the M!
Thanks so much!

13:50 Oh yes.. There we go baby! Brilliant..
This is a wonderfully warm-sounding wavetable synth. The stuff around 15 minutes in reminds me of some of the music from “In The Earth.”
Nice video, I didn't know this synth. And nice outfit, you look cute
Really loved the ringmod experiments, lovely! Will try it out on my M.
Get patching! 😊 just remember you can set the bend range super wide on osc 2 to get it down into lfo territory and then add DEREZ!
Amazing vid! Super informative as always and OMG THAT LATEX OUTFIT!!! *drools*
Miracle it still fits 😂

Really very interesting sound set
She’s a very special synth 😁

Thanks! It is odd, has a real vintage vibe (including workflow!) - gonna do the Korg Drumlogue soon, that needs a deep dive!
Good stuff, Paulee! Thanks!
Great showcase!
Nice job on the vids Paulee!
I’m also Les Pressure on Facebook
Been involved with synths for 51 years since 1973
51 years wow!
Damn, no one is talking about these features! I was digging the M before but now I might have to be as little more serious about getting one
It’s such a fantastic synth, vanilla hybrid to all out wild sonic assault station 👌🏻
Loved the vocal, choral stuff. That's in my zone for sure. I love the wavetable stuff on the Prologue though tbh, which can a lot of PPG and Microwave buisness, perhaps with a tad less finess!
"I doubt Loopop would have gone there." 🔥🔥🔥🔥BURN! It hurts because it is true!
I love him really 😊
The M does have a really rich sound
Thanks, it’s on my wish list.
Thanks Paulee for the video and reminding me how stupid i was for not getting a Waldorf M in December instead of a Virus C🤦♂
Hey the virus C is it’s own amazing deep thing! I hope to get one one day 😊
loved this, reckon you'll do one on the hydra at some point?
@@ennayanne hi, I don’t own a hydra yet but sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 yay! it's the only hardware synth I own, and the only one I feel like I need lol
Thanks for this video Paulee. I just recently got an M so this is perfect timing

Thanks! Felt that some of the M’s wilder side needed to be shown 😂
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 There's so much magic to be explored with the M 💙
That choir transition patch was beautiful. What was your sample source?
@@rubymars_xyz I’ll have to look it up but it was likely the Roland S50 library 😁
@ thank you! I love your video and your fashion youre awesome!
That was just the best fun.❤
I miss my PPS 2.2 and Waveterm A!
I bet that was an amazing thing to look at AND listen to!
glad they sorted it out after all the nay sayers who were giving you s**t
glad they sorted it in the end after all the people in the forum giving you a hard time
as a newcomer to the hardware scene, it's nice to know people like that are ousted
Do you have any of your custom wavetable library avail for purchase?
I’ll try to make it available when I next play with my M :)
Crunchy!
Yes! The SSM tames things wonderfully though! My only wish would be for some resonance compensation but you can’t have it all!
Would this synthesizer be any good for Psytrance Ambient Acid Techno music? I do have the Access Virus TI2 desktop
I think the Microwave was pretty popular in 90’s music production…I’d definitely say it works well for Ambient, paired with a nice reverb. Very interesting wavetable sweeps. I don’t know enough about the other genres to offer any help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol this question was funny
@@JustDatBoi love my Access virus TI2 out of all the synth's out there on the market just wished they could have kept going
