Really enjoying these videos. Been a good few years since I practiced bjj and only started getting back into it. These videos have been really useful. Thanks
Thank you very much - I'm glad you're finding them useful. In one sense I'm mostly just providing information I wish I had had access to when I was starting out.
Thanks - in the modern day and age it's critical information. Never know when some idiot is going to drop into your gi BJJ class, get frustrated, and revert to a heel hook (just did an Instagram Story about this...)
great detail, main thing is dont let them reap it right away... after that ... its gonna be a fight to get out that can lead into knee damage unless you are a Miyao brother lol
I am currently undecided whether I am making apps for this. The online version does play very well on phones and tablets, so long as you have wifi and don't live in Indonesia (Indonesia has banned my Vimeo, my video player, for some strange reason!)
Stephan Kesting i'd prefer the app so i can bring it everwhere, but i'll wait if you decide to do so. Still this is a gold instructonal just like bjj core concepts.
Would be super hard if they have a heel hook sank in. Look at Frank Shamrock beating people with these in the old days when they were totally able to kick
That's a leg-saving and, perhaps, life-changing tip! Thank you, sir!
Hey! you're the karate guy.

I like that idea of freeing your hips first. That makes sense. Great tips
Very useful video. Thanks for posting.

Great instructional! Thanks!
Ty for all this great video..God bless you.Greatings from Romania
I’m terrified of leg locks especially heel hooks I tap as soon as they get my foot I don’t care about escaping hahahah
Why the fuk no ONE EVER TOLD US THIS IN ANY HEEL HOOK VIDEO ON UA-cam THATS INSANE!?
I feel like Stephan is the defender of those guys out there who go from smashing to smashing at their gyms...giving them a fighting chance😁🤙🏼
I have a feeling this concept can also be used in other situations than heel hooks. Working on it.
You sir, are correct!
thanks for this

What about kicking
Would be super hard if they have a heel hook sank in. Look at Frank Shamrock beating people with these in the old days when they were totally able to kick
Can't you just rotate in place?
Bye bye knee
As the only white belt in a gym full of gigachad purple brown and black belts
(Edit) so this is a life saver lol
ini seng bener dont roll tapi rotate
legend has it that whoever comments early gets a reply🐸
I do my best. To paraphrase Pirates of the Caribbean, it's more of a guideline than a rule...
Stephan Kesting the legend is true🐸
First
Second ;)
