I have a brand new 32S model with both the USB and the Ethernet cables connected to my Windows 10 (64 bit) computer. I do not get the Studio One software (Artist latest version) showing up on the mixer screen when I tap the software control menu. It is not there. I can control the moving faders via the Artist software, and also move the mixer faders to show up on the software interface, but I cannot get the DAW Controller to work. Good video BUT !! my studio live 16 III does not show Studio One on the UCNET screen. Latest firmware loaded. PreSonus just point me to this clip which I have done. Studio One recognises the desk but still cannot get it working.
At 0.27 you made a statement I believe is incorrect. "go directly from the back of a pc Ethernet port straight into the mixer with a Ethernet cable". I would think you need a crossover cable or run both devices into a switch. Am I wrong?
Excellant vidéo, very well delivered , thank you. I use sonar platinum, will I be able to use the studiolive 32 series 3 as a surface control for my daw?

I love it when you make these videos addressing studiolive and studio one. The perfect match. Congratulations! Its methodology is fantastic. I am your follower here in Brazil !!!
Would it be possible to program a touch Button as an update ready built in to StudioLive DAW mode so we don’t have to program the Tape for Main Speakers etc as we are outputting now through a Zoom L12 (they are good mixers I might add)to avoid the issues that arise from these problems . Great mixer let down by audio out.
I have SL 3 32, but when engaging DAW mode (UCNet settings are fine) all faders go down and I am left with a sort of configuration screen on the console. I cannot do anything in that screen. UCRemote is defined in S1 v4.5 as an input (together with an ATOM). I cannot find any help on resolving this in the Presonus docs ... (or i missed them).

Hi! I love your tutorials. Question: Is it possible to route input line 1 on my mixer to record on input 5, with changing the cable? I have Studiolive 32s III
Hello, can you help me? I am using Pro Tools sometime the interface with studio live SC 32 is great but right now when I go to daw mode on my Sc32. All the faders are down and when I move one the faders, it returns back to its original position. Plus there’s no screen information on the channels. I don’t know what to do.
i mean 8 faders to be a daw controller is not acceptable ok with that but how bout an only 8 mic pres yet 64 or idk daw controlling channels without the additional preamps, would it not reduce the prices? i mean let there be 4 different analog synths simultaneously connected along with the project playback and it would be quite sufficient already. Hi. Iam thinking about purchasing a Studiolive 32SX but i still got 2 questions regardind daw Mode: 1. can i still use the internal Audio Interface for Recording ? What about latency? 2. is it possible to use headphones in daw Mode? Thx a lot!
This may be too late but I have a 32SX and (1) yes you can, DAW mode the "normal" desk mode are two entirely separate things that go on at the same time. Latency on my reasonably-specced PC isn't bad, about 6ms at 128 samples, though when I'm recording vox etc I always monitor through the desk, not Studio One. (2) Yes again, as I say all the normal audio functions continue in the background even while you're in DAW mode and using the desk as a controller.
hi, do i have to have this connected via ethernet to make it work as a controller for studio one? My Imac is already plugged into a switch and I have only one ethernet port. Can the USB just be used for aan audio interface and controller or do you really need both
Hi the video's are great, but for some reason I could never get Pro Tools or Logic to reconize Studio Live III as a controller :( I have the most current firmware I have watched the video many many times, have everything confined properly (I hope) and the DAW's still don't see it. Example I setup UCNET to the DAW, I have a Dynamic IP (Internal network) press the Daw mode button. but for example when I go into Pro Tools and go tot the control surface section and select HUI, I don't see UNET as an option :( I would be grateful for any help.

Hi, I just update to the studio one 4.1.4 and also my presonus studiolive 32 series 3 with firmware 2 but now the mixer reads only 2 software (mackie for logic and Huai for protools) while it doesn't see the studione software, why? Now I can't use studio one in daw mode, what should I do? Thanks for your help
I'm going to respond here WITHOUT PREJUDICE! I don't mean to sound nasty in my comments that I'm going to seemingly sound off with & I do apologize if it sounds like I'm being unnecessarily aggressive with my opinions! But recently I've become increasingly annoyed with the treatment I'm getting after spending close to $6,000 dollars for my gear & not being able to contact anyone for answers. The whole world doesn't use Studio One, so it would be nice if Presonus started acknowledging all the rest of the people who don't use Studio One but have still supported Presonus by buying their hardware, & in this case the Studiiolive 32, Series 111 mixer plus an additional Studiolive 32R Stagebox. Presonus should start understanding that even though they included Studio One for free with the purchase of their mixer, many of us don't just jump into a new DAW simply because it's there. Years of use on the DAW that each of us have mastered is not one we're going to dump simply because there's a free one that's made available to us by Presonus. It takes years to become proficient on the DAW that one uses daily so taking the time to switch is not something to be taken lightly. It's frustrating enough just to challenge one's self with the hardware let alone learning how to use a new DAW along with a new digital mixer at the same time. In the Presonus support section is see a lot of un-answered issues that even Presonus doesn't respond to. So having Presonus brag about Studio One is a little short-sighted because it seems to be directed more at additional sales in the software side of the Presonus world. I've used Cakewalk products since 1987 & have simply stuck to that product because it was the first sequencer that was made for the IBM computer. I have deliberately stayed with that brand so I could become proficient at one thing & that was simply to master the use of a computer in my recording studio. I have become an expert in my field & even though I have upgraded Sonar through the years I have stopped using the newer releases & stayed with Sonar version 8.53 because it met all the criteria that I needed to fulfill in making a quality recording. My needs were filled by the release of a digital mixer so I chose & decided to buy a Studiolive 32, Series 111 mixer & a Studiolive 32R Stagebox. I've owned this mixer for 1 1/2 years & am still not comfortable using it. I required help in getting a signal out of two of the 16 Auxs but everyone @ Presonus assumes that that's really easy so there isn't a step-by-step, helpful video that describes the procedure in an accurate way. I referred to this video on UA-cam @ 036 Seconds This is where Ray describes the procedure to create a monitor mix ua-cam.com/video/XD1QvKstbMc/v-deo.html This video was created by Ray back in 2017 but this procedure DOES NOT WORK! I've tried to follow what he did back then but it ceases to work after step 2 @ 037 seconds into that video & no one corrects it because everyone assumes the topic's been covered. I've reset my mixer back to factory spec because I thought I was doing something wrong but that didn't make it work the way he described in his video. I've tried to contact various people regarding the issue but no one has responded to my attempts to correct this procedure. After reading the PDF manual I was none the wiser so I tried to do a search to see what I might need to do to make this work? I couldn't find any material in the manual to help me make this work. Eventually, I pressed the button labeled "Mix/FX/Master" (which was simply a guess) & then I pressed the "NEXT" button in that section to access Aux channels15 & 16 & was able to finally turn the signal up to my TC VL3 Vocal Processor to create the harmonies I needed. I screwed around with this for 2 days before I finally stumbled on this procedure. This is not the way something this complicated should be dealt with! The hunt & peck method is something I'm not in the mood to waste my time with! If someone was to ask me for my recommendation of Presonus equipment today, I will gladly tell them to forget it because their support is not up to par & they should look elsewhere to buy a digital mixer where the support should be the most important issue on their list. Support should never be turned over to a forum where everyone there is just as dumb regarding the question as you are! They aren't' really interested in helping you. Then you see people advertising their services to provide you support @ a fee which should have been provided by Presonus & not some third party. What the Hell has this come to lately? We used to call support from companies such as Cakewalk when Gregg Hendershott was in charge & we were able to speak to someone the same day we called for help. That was for a $200.00 item but now if I even try to call for help for my $6.000.00 items there isn't even a phone # printed in my personal manual of the product that I just bought. Instead, I get a F*@king recipe of how to make Jambalaya. What a total disgrace after I spend my hard-earned cash & literally support their lifestyle! The folks at Presonus should realize that this isn't a piece of gear that any of us are accustom to. 99% of us have inherited the digital world & just because we understand analog doesn't help us much when it comes to digital. Unless we can have a one on one lesson with the engineer who designed & built the gear, some genuine hand-holding is in order here before we discuss anything regarding a new DAW!
You're not being nasty of unreasonable at all. I'm on the fence on whether to purchase one of these digital mixers but judging by the video's from Presonus posts and all the questions people have been asking with not one reply from Presonus... I would assume their support would reflect this. Or should I really call it support at all cause their doesn't seem to be any as per my observations. Thanks for the write up on your experience. I will not be investing in their eco system. Their explanations are vague to say the least. Thanks once again.
@xcessclansty I am having this issue as well. Did you ever get it resolves and if I may ask, how long have you had the mixer before this became an issue?
Question please, my new 32 StudioLive Series III Digital Mixer is running current firmware BUT I cannot locate Studio One DAW mode from the UCNET function. its only showing Logic Pro X and PRO TOOLS. ANY HELP PLEASE. THANK YOU
Same problem for me. Plus, when I connect the mixer to my computer's ethernet port, all I get is "unidentified network", nothing that specifies Presonus.
Just got Studio One to show up on the Software Control screen on the board. Might have something to do with the turn on/setup sequence. First, turn on the board, then turn on the computer. Then open StudioOne.Then press UCNET on the board. I GUESS. But don't follow me- I'm lost too. Maybe I just got lucky today.
I had the same issue, couple of things need to be correct for this to work. Both usb and ethernet cables need to be connected as instructed. The mixer and pc need to be on the same network i.e. 192.168.1.xxx. (The document StudioLive_Series_III_Studio_One_DAW_Control_Addendum.pdf will help explain that). Mixer on first, then pc, then open up Studio one daw (this loads the drivers that communicates) then UCNET button. Also If you are hardwiring your computer to the same router as your mixer, you must disable the wireless connection on your computer. UCNET does not support dual network connections.
I had the same problem so I connected monitor L&R to my monitor speakers with trs cables. Works great and I can control my volume with the monitor rotary knob.
@@kimburch3820 I don’t remember exactly what wasn’t working back then. Idk if it was on the Mac side of things or if I didn’t know about the USB/Tape out button or what it was. I run 1/4” outs of the mixer but it works great these days.
ok using a Ethernet cable into my router is not wifi !!! the console is over a hundred feet from router . Are you saying I have establish LAN connection to then engage wifi ? that is ridiculous I cant believe presonus would do that please elaborate on that point it is the single most important moment of this entire video
If your computer has an Ethernet port, you can plug directly into the console from the computer. If not, you need to hook it up via a wireless router. Plug one of LAN ports on the wireless router to the console's control port, and then log into that wireless network from your computer.

I can not find Studio One under the Software control. It only says Macki Control and Hui Control Emulation. i can't get it work.
@xcessclansty I am having this issue as well. Did you ever get it resolves and if I may ask, how long have you had the mixer before this became an issue?
At 0:45sec... do they sell those “stands”for those screens? I want those!
I would like to know that too.
Wait, so does that mean I cant have my computer connected to Studiolive and the internet at the same time?
Question please, my new 32 StudioLive Series III Digital Mixer is running current firmware BUT I cannot locate Studio One DAW mode from the UCNET function. its only showing Logic Pro X and PRO TOOLS. ANY HELP PLEASE. THANK YOU
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
Same problem for me. Plus, when I connect the mixer to my computer's ethernet port, all I get is "unidentified network", nothing that specifies Presonus.
Just got Studio One to show up on the Software Control screen on the board. Might have something to do with the turn on/setup sequence. First, turn on the board, then turn on the computer. Then open StudioOne.Then press UCNET on the board. I GUESS. But don't follow me- I'm lost too. Maybe I just got lucky today.
Have you guys figured this out? Why doesn't presonus reply to this issue??
I had the same issue, couple of things need to be correct for this to work. Both usb and ethernet cables need to be connected as instructed. The mixer and pc need to be on the same network i.e. 192.168.1.xxx. (The document StudioLive_Series_III_Studio_One_DAW_Control_Addendum.pdf will help explain that). Mixer on first, then pc, then open up Studio one daw (this loads the drivers that communicates) then UCNET button. Also If you are hardwiring your computer to the same router as your mixer, you
must disable the wireless connection on your computer. UCNET does not support dual network connections.
Incredible!
Thank you so much
How do I get output from the main LR from the mixer in DAW mode
I'm having the same problem I'm not getting any output from my main out to my speakers
Ok I think i got it you can't use your main Xlr output, has to be your 1/4 monitor output L&R
Plug one of LAN ports on the wireless router to the console's control port, and then log into that wireless network from your computer.
more more moreeeeeeeee!
Obviously, Presonus does not answer questions on this channel :-(
Step up your videos Presonus these really suck you dont give enough hands on in depth stuff with your hardware. UCNET sucks please fix it
I need to know if I want to use Mac mini 2018 with studio live do I have to connect both via lan and usb or just the usb? The router is in another floor
