Hi, Onedropmic. Great to hear from you! There are many differences between the mixers. So I'm not sure if the SL32C, 32SX, 32S are newer when it lacks certain features as the other one? Which ones are the newer ones? I'm not sure what are the reasons for the creation of SL32C, SL32S when the SL32 SL16 does the exactly the same thing with mirror image specs, and why even create the SL32SX when it lacks 3 features but the same form factor? So confusing. Maybe I'll just wait because it seems they come with a new console with the same thing every few months.
Hello, Peter! No. Midas/Behringer use a proprietary protocol, and PreSonus stage boxes use AVB. Hi Xavier, thanks for the question! The only way to learn is to ask, so no need to apologize! Yes, the PreSonus Studio Live mixers make fantastic audio interfaces. They give you a ton of mic preamps and a huge amount of ins and outs. Along with the onboard processing, these mixers can be a fantastic centerpiece to a studio! So say MPC is on 1+2 and FL studio is on 3+4 can I assign them both to the output of my monitor channel? If that makes sense?
Hey there! If you’re wondering whether you can monitor two different channels through one set of monitors, then yes most definitely. I love the idea of buying one but have no intentions to switch to Studio One. Don’t want to take a risk buying it as a control surface for Logic and Pro Tools
I can’t believe they have all that space and they chose to use a single knob to control compressor. You have to tap the parameter of the compressor you want to control on the touch screen then use physical knob. I hate this type of workflow. With all that space you should have dedicated knobs for eq and compressor. This is a deal breaker for me. I am still waiting for a budget mixer with dedicated control knobs for eq and compression
You can play with all the parameters on the channel strip after tapping the channels comp button. The Eq. Is the same although the Eq runs over two layers because they decide the ipad holder was more important than having 16 encoders.
It seems weird though to have a digital console and use it simply as a control surface for controlling plug-ins and programming automation in a DAW. I prefer to use the audio engines of the console, and mix in the console with automation separate from the DAW.

Can I connect this unit with my mpc x via usb?
Hello, Firkle!
No, you cannot.

@@sweetwater oh, ok. I'm just asking because of the 2.10 firmware update on the akai mpc. You are now able to connect a mixer via usb to the mpc so you can be able to have physical faders like a controller. I dont really want just any mixer. I wanted something like the presonus 32s.
How is the fan noise on this? Suitable for low-noise studio environments?
Hey, Fables of Silence. Thanks for checking out the 32SX video on UA-cam. The 32SX makes a great addition to the studio as well as live situations. The noise on the console is very low and great for a working studio environment. The series III line of mixers does not have an internal fan, just vents on the top and bottom of the console for cooling. If there is anything else we can help with, please let me know.
Thanks,

@@sweetwater thanks Gary that is excellent information dearly missing from their product description. Very helpful. However, I just found out that only half of the channels are line-in. That’s probably a deal breaker for me as I basically need line-in only. Unfortunately there seem to be no mixers on the market targeted at synthesizer studios.
Can this series mixers in DAW mode be used as a control surface for other DAWs? And also can DAW mode use the touch sensitive faders to write automation with other DAWs?...If it does have that ability, a list of compatible DAWs would be great to share. Thanks.
Hello! It does work in all the major DAWs since it's HUI and Mackie protocol, but it works best with Studio One (and it comes with Studio One Artist).

I’d definitely but tomorrow if they used Dante! But I get that they’re all in on AVB. 🤷🏾♂️
Is there support for Ableton Live? This literally TBags the crap out of the Behringer X32....(I might play too much Halo)
Can anyone tell me the difference between Studiolive 16 and the 32SC? Also what is difference between the Studiolive 32, 32S, 32XS? I see on their website that they all are still current at the same time. Its so confusing to know which one to get!!!
Hi, Onedropmic. Great to hear from you! There are many differences between the mixers. I have attached a link below that has a chart showing them all:

@@sweetwater I see that the SL 32 & 32S are exactly identical according to the chart, the 32SX lacks 3 things: less motorized touch faders, and Fat channel parameter control w/ s.strip, no bluetooth. The SL 32C is the same as the SL16 but lacks bluetooth, and Fat channel parameter control w/ s.strip, no bluetooth.
Is this compatible with Logic Pro x Chanel to channel so I can record from my computer in to the desk?????
Paul Ivin yes.
How can I deposit for these mix
Is it possible to use other stageboxes like Midas DL on the ethernet port?
Hello, Peter! No. Midas/Behringer use a proprietary protocol, and PreSonus stage boxes use AVB. Generally none of these stages boxes are compatible between brands because for instance, this PreSonus board sends the preamp gain structure to the stage box digitally anyways, and would only work with the PreSonus stage boxes.

Does the DAW mode work with Reaper?
Is studiolive III 32sx designed most for live or studio?
Because most of the video one UA-cam is just showing the mixer set on a studio.

I have the 32 r and I'm trying to figure out how to set up stage monitors from the 32r I figured it out once but then I totally switched computers and rebuilt from scratch and then reinstall the software but now I can't figure out how to make the monitor mix go out to the floor monitors? Do you have a link that you can show me how to do it properly in the UC controller software
sorry if im being a little ignorante, having one of this is enough to record? meaning i dont need and interface cause it is actually an audio interface right? sorry im new at this XD
If you want to dig in further about interfaces, feel free to give me a ring!

I have a question. Say I connect studio monitors to this and I want to monitor my MPC output but I also have another setup where I want to monitor FL studio via the outputs on my interface, can it listen for multiple signals to one pair of monitors? So say MPC is on 1+2 and FL studio is on 3+4 can I assign them both to the output of my monitor channel? If that makes sense?
Hey there! If you’re wondering whether you can monitor two different channels through one set of monitors, then yes most definitely. The mixer will likely have every channel outputting to your main L/R channel (monitors) unless manually changed to send to different output channels on the mixer.
I hope this helps!

My arrangements include horns, saxes and strings. I would like to find a solution to perform live with a four or five piece group but integrating the recorded orchestral parts in the live performance. This unit has an SD card slot but can this mixer perform this function of selecting and playing pre-recorded tracks for integration into a live performance?
Does this work with Fl Studio ?
Hello! Yes, and sorta no... It's Mackie HUI protocol, so it can control FL Studio, but it probably won't run as smoothly as Studio One, or other more popular DAWs.

Can the 8 faders on the right beused for daw control?
Hey, Peter! You got it. All 24 of those faders can be used for DAW control. The 8 faders placed on the right side are more of a design feature - those faders have all of the same functionality as the 16 on the left.

@@PeterReesvan My pleasure! Unfortunately, you aren't going to be able to connect another interface up with the StudioLive. The AVB port is made to be connected with a Presonus Stagebox specifically (the NSB8.8 or NSB16.8). That port won't accept 3rd part interfaces/inputs.

Can you record to a Windows PC using the AVB network?
Hey, Chris. Thank you for checking out our video today. To answer your question, AVB does not have direct support for Windows. You can get third party drivers to run it, but that does depend on your machine and its compatibility. You also get a 64x64 interface over USB with this mixer as well, so if it is not compatible with your machine you can still use that to record. For more information, or if you want to talk any more about the subject, just reach out to us here at Sweetwater.

I prefer my StudioLive 32.4.2 AI. Inserts per channel and Aux returns.
Can your board work with Studio one 4.5?
@@musicorey i,m talking about the hardware. No Inserts for external dinamic and EQ processors. Accept something that is a fact. I'm not concerned with software version.
I wish presonus would make their products preprogrammed to work with cubase
Good presentation, but did a poor job talking about DAW mode. There was little talk and demonstration on how it can work in Logic or Pro Tools.
The Eq. Is the same although the Eq runs over two layers because they decide the ipad holder was more important than having 16 encoders.
would be a deal breaker, but there's a gate / comp/eq/aus etc button, and 8 knobs to control the parameters.
great mixer
It seems weird though to have a digital console and use it simply as a control surface for controlling plug-ins and programming automation in a DAW. I prefer to use the audio engines of the console, and mix in the console with automation separate from the DAW.
For sure. That's the beauty of the 32SX - it's both a 32 input recording interface in addition to a control surface for your DAW.
@@TheRickdoggie do you know about x32ram.com? The X32 is too, but now we have full standalone automation for it.

- Can I play regular WAV/MP3 files from SD card (which I do not record thru the console)?
- Can I choose options like: repeat all, repeat one, play one (play one and stay paused before the next)

Why is it so expensive? You are better off saving over a grand and getting an x32 or get an SQ5

SQ5 only has 16 preamps. You would need to get the SQ6 to be comparable and that costs $1100 more than the 32SX.
