Tip for getting stuff out of jars without breaking them!!! Fill that whole jar with as much water as you can and shake it around; should loosen the substrate enough to pull the plant out

i totally feel you on the blood draw thing i have a fear of needles like that too and i always tell people w fears of needles that getting a tattoo is not the same bc it looks like someone just drawing on you since the needles are actually multiple needles so it just looks like a blunt object

I have found bamboo sticks or pvc poles fed down through the plastic moss poles (in the same area as the moss) really help stabilize the stacked poles like you worked on here. You can also feed a bamboo stake down along the back of the plastic moss poles on the outside and velcro tape the stake to the pole like a brace. Those are my bootleg methods for stabilizing tall modular pole builds

Hi Claire!! I don't know if you have ever made a video like this before (or at least I haven't found it) where you talk about starting a plant completely over. I am curious to see any plants you've completely cut back to just a nub, how long it took to regrow, how to care for the plants that you've cut back, any special tips, and comparison of new growth to how it looked before. Would love to see a video like this 🤗

With the anthurium, I’d keep an eye out for thrips, just in case. Thrips lay eggs inside the leaves, then the larvae live inside of the leaf digging around and eating and emerge as pupae after around 1-2 weeks. That’s why they’re so so difficult to completely get rid of. 25:34

After a run in with spider mites, I am a huge fan of the magnifying tools for my plants. I have a light up 30x magnifying glass, 60x jewelers loop, and an affordable 1,000x microscope. The microscope definitely helps me determine if pest treatments are effective or not. Anytime I see a leaf with something funny or yellowing, I pop off the leaf and put it under the microscope for a check and some peace of mind.

Hi Claire! My absolute fav u-tuber. I struggle with those poles as well. If you look where you connect there is about an inch of wasted holes- they’re covered either by the existing or new pole. I’m going to try to use my soldering iron next extend to add holes before putting it together. Also I started using long salad tongs to add my moss. It’s so much easier and less messy. You can grab and place moss so much better- and already have the pole closed. Saves so much time!!!❤

Sorry you had a rough day, I feel ya. Also with driving, I’ve been driving for 30 years and I’m only now getting anxious about it, we’ve got so much terrible city traffic where we used to be a small town, I’m getting a dash cam it’s getting ridiculous
I agree, that leaf looks fungal, baking soda! Who knew!
I’m v love the Amazon plastic moss poles myself, and order 2 different widths depending on how many cuttings I put on it or how big it’ll get, always order the 24 inch (60ish cm) so I don’t need to extend too soon

I just had one of these planty days last week. I'm also ADD so what I learned from that planty day is I don't do nearly enuff planty days. Lol Good grief I swear they plot and plan and all of a sudden a starter plant is 3 feet long. Or the ones that look dorment for 6 months and now that fall is here they are growing like mad and need a repot. I always enjoy seeing I'm not the only one playing catch up.

I've been dealing with some anxiety related to some major events coming up in my life, to the point of getting headaches and feeling distracted. It's been nice to work at the nursery unloading freight and moving things around to stay busy. It's always good to get that energy out and work things through in your mind rather than just sitting idle and stewing in your head!

Hi Claire! Just a heads up - the first moss pole you’ve got on the majestic is upside down! that’s why the top section is all solid plastic because it’s normally in the pot 😊. You should stuff some moss in the gaps between the new and first pole where they overlap to make it more stable. Always love your videos!!!

Clair I love the covering that you made on your shiny pots, it looks expensive. Can you put your recipe/ mixture amounts in your next video please, I’d love to give that a go. Watching you is very relaxing also on the other hand it also can get me to get up and do a few plant chores.
On another note, keep wearing your hats, I have the same, can’t think what’s it’s called, but I have a really big mark from it on my cheek, it’s gets bigger every year, just from even pegging out the washing, it’s the first thing people see and everyone always asks and it can make me feel very self conscious. Love your channel Clair ❤

Getting a tattoo is completely different than having blood taken! I can get a tattoo any day but I literally faint when I have to have my blood taken.... maybe because I love tatts... same with body piercings! I love mine! Recently had my septum pierced and was fine.... but the thought of going to the doctors surgery makes me nauseous. Possibly the smell?

In Ontario (unsure about the rest of Canada), we have graduated licensing. Basically for driving you pass a written test and you can drive with a licensed driver in the car. After about a year (less if you take a drivers ed course), you take a driving test, if you pass that, you can drive by yourself with restrictions. Then you need to complete a certain amount of highway driving and pass another driving test to get your full license. It’s annoying but it forces you to get confident driving

I appreciate your channel, you come across very humble. You say I don’t know and admit to failure, which is nice because I feel like a lot of videos use accusatory language in their videos… like “YOU’RE KILLING YOUR PLANTS”, and I don’t feel like a lecture, and sometimes bad advice disguising a sales pitch, when I just want to hear other people talk about their own plants and what do to for them!
