I remember also when Fed denounced GS on UA-cam because every watch could only be serviced in Japan. Little did he realize that GS is so reliable they don't need servicing!

Seamaster wearer here, what's not to like about a SMP. It's not exclusive and that's part of the appeal, it hits all the design style boxes, ultra reliable and comfortable to wear on any activity.

I indeed picked up the exact model of older Omega you mentioned, the triple calendar for under $2000 in 2023. It’s just such good value on the used market and a bit off the radar from the most popular models. One of my current favourites.
I also have that triple date speedy reduced, blue dial, great little watch and crazy you can buy it for 2000-3000 bucks.

Omega had a pretty good value for money on the secondary market hence I believe that’s the reason why the brand models come up on top. It’s a no brainer.

Neovintage Omegas are probably the best value for money in the market at the moment, plus you get a lot of the good things modern ones lack (better sizes, easier and less expensive to maintain movements, etc, etc.) amazing vid Fed and thanks as always for sharing these valuable insights from a data driven expert point of view, can't get any better than this!
What GS has been able to do since 2010 has been amazing. List makes sense based on Federico's analytics...
Though they have maybe the best movement in history of horology,Spring drive helped GS sale’s massively,just imagine if Rolex had Spring drive,they would sold every spring drive watch for 25k easily.
You are 100% correct. If Rolex would've came out with Spring Drive everyone would have blown their load.. But because it was not a "high-end" Swiss manufacturer, many don't want to give them their seat at the table. @@dado380

Being myself a very big fan and owner of Omega and Tudor because of all the reasons you said, I can understand why it are the best sellers. Great watches, with enough prestige for normal working people (not everyone has Patek money) and very good quality. It you take good care of them, they last a lifetime.
Value for money Omega is hard to beat. A great brand name, great movements and loads of history.

I own the Pelagos 39 and the BB54. The Omega SMP 300 is a terrific value at current retail prices. I was going to purchase one after handling several models at the AD, but I can't swing a 42mm wide case paired with a non-tapering 22mm wide bracelet on my wrist.
Omega SEAMASTER is better watch then PELAGOS 39 and BB54. Everyone knows that. I’m not talking about the content creators on Tudor’s payroll. They are paid to push Tudor. Tudor is a poor man’s Rolex 😂😂😂😂😂

As expected. Rolex hype bubble burst and people are getting more savvy about watches. Realizing you can buy much better watches for Rolex's prices. I predict prices will continue to come down over the year.
Breitling is an under appreciated brand to me. Competes well in the sports watch, but don't sleep on their leather strap ones!
20 years ago their stuff was over-sized and garish but now making a nice comeback.

Speedmaster is so iconic and always in the media and movies. However I have never seen one in the wild whereas Seamasters are all over the place. Is it just me or is there a disconnect between collectors and the typical buyer?

Speedy is the luxury watch I see the most around me but not often when I travel. I work in the space industry so it's everyone's favorite.

These results make sense. Omega watches are high-quality and relatively affordable. Rolex is nice but often 2x-3x the price, so you would have fewer transactions.

I should probably ask this when your IG opens up but who does your GS eval and service? I thought that your watch makers were Swiss trained and generally you have to ship a GS off to Japan anyway for most services.
Clearly volume is going to be based on a mix of variables: quality, name recognition, price, etc. clearly the high price brands will never deny the top three in volume of units sold.

Revue Thommen is very attractive for the price... I bought one for an evening and then cancelled order. Like you, wished to know more about it. But lovely case and dial.
Interesting that the watches in my collection are in Delray's Top 5 sellers. This mean means you have your fingers on the pulse of value collectors.
Value collectors is indeed what this channel is about, that's what I like about it. No hype, but cool, fun and great watches.
It shows that many people are looking for a watch from an established luxury brand. Also sports’ watch was still a top genre in 2023.
Altogether it’s that quintessential one nice watch.

I was expecting to see Cartier in the top five.
This is the actual holy trinity. The 3 brands that you can actually sell and people know who the brands are. These are the watch brands a store can actually stock and sell easily.
I went for a Black Bay over the Omega because I am not a fan of the helium escape valve. I wouldn't mind owning another Aquatera though.

A lot of people say that Omega watches are to big, they seem to be doing pretty well
"A lot of people" is an arbitrary statement that could mean one thing but also its opposite. Omega remains Omega in spite of all the others out there. Are there better watches? Of course there are! But for the price only a few can battle with Omega, and they are all in the top 5.
Their extensive catalog has something for everyone. I couldn’t swing a SMP300 but I can swing my 38mm AT.
Never listen to content creators they get paid to push other brands . Omega will always do well.
A lot of people say they hate Rolex and would never buy one...
Omega 300m might not give as good a fit as Rolex Sub but reliability unique design price and availability are what make it a strong second and virtually unbeatable. I urge people to get them while the prices and still in reach.
