Awwh Jo!! I love keeping up with these videos. You are a wee ray of sunshine after a stressful day at work. Don’t doubt yourself, you are absolutely aceing this gal! How many people can say they solo travelled to the other side of the world and went totally out of their comfort zone! Can’t wait to see the rest of your videos and vicariously live through them🥰🤍
@@JoFaye Good morning, I'm Cooper Hamlyn I'm 20 yrs old and I have Autisum and cerable plausy, pleased to meet you I'm from Quilpie Queensland Australia
I'm really enjoying your exploration of my home town. Definitely avoid the chain food restaurants and try out the many local bites. Like the coffee, we do small eateries really well around the country. If in doubt, just ask a local where the best food is. Pretty much everyone will happily give you a good recommendation.
Summer is also the wet season. NSW sub-tropical and QLD tropical. LOL I just spent a week in Brisbane and it rained every day. My grandaughter did not enjoy the humidity, we don't get humidity in Adelaide. 😁
I feel bad that the weather wasn't the best which is just a little bad luck as it's usually good. I'm glad you took up some of my city walk suggestions and also the ferry to Manly. You'll have to come back and do some of these places again when you return to Sydney and when the sun is out. I hope you don't try to cover too much ground in a short space of time as it's a pretty big country and you'll not enjoy yourself if you're tired all the time. Hopefully you'll get over your jet lag when you get up the coast to Byron Bay! Sharks are a higher risk after heavy rain. The rivers dump food to fish in the ocean and sharks prey on them. Sharks generally like to hunt at dawn or dusk. Please don't be too scared to have a dip as the risk is minimal. Stay safe;)
You are a chatty down-to-earth visitor. Australians love that style, try and mix a lot with the locals, I'm sure they will take you to their heart. Food and drink tips: move away from the corporate stuff and explore a bit, independent eateries often taste much better. Definitely learn to swim well ! You will see many amazing places to swim and surf but they can be dangerous for poor swimmers. Heaps of sharks in Sydney Harbour and tributaries, you would be but a wee snack though 🙂.
G’day, my first ancestor in Oz was a Donald McDonald who arrived here in 1830, I’m a good UK mix, Scottish, Irish, English and a dash of Welsh (a couple of the Irish were convicts transported here in 1850). Enjoy your stay! John (PS, you are very cute!)
I find Sleep assist/Dozile works great. Half a tablet at the most. No prescription required. I get a slight hangover but it's easy to fight once you get moving. Maybe start on ¼ of a tablet.
@@kenlawton1531 It was beautiful!! I was honestly so shocked at how big it is😂! I didn’t research anything into it before going on the ferry - I was just winging it!!
@JoFaye it’s coming from a fellow 🏴! I was in Australia for a couple of months in 2023, went to Betty’s a crazy amount of times. Made sure to go just before I left as well. I’d also recommend Costi’s fish and chips at Coogee. Think it was one of the best I had in Australia ☺️

Cafes will make you an iced coffee. If they have nut juice they'll make it with that. It's really common, you don't have to go to Maccas.

I find it usually takes me around 5 days for my sleeping schedule to get back to normal after flying Europe to Aus.
