Hi Heidi, enjoying your videos. May I ask how you ended up on the GC? PS if you haven’t been to Tedder Av. as yet, suggest you go there as there are some great restaurants and the place feels more like Sydney or Melbourne 😊
@@JeremyPitz-e8u hey Jeremy, thanks so much!! My partner is from here (Brisbane) so thought we’d give it a go. Are you based here? Ah thank you for the recommendation, I haven’t explored Main Beach yet even though I’m v close. I’ll check it out for sure 😃
@HeidiRose Hi Heidi, well bit of a long story but I live in HK and have a holiday home on the GC, where I typically spend Christmas / NY with my family. And like you, I’m from the UK originally so I know how tough it can be emigrating; I did it on my own years ago but stuck it out and eventually reaped the rewards. It is however tough being so far away from family for so many years, but I guess you’re going back, so treat this as a wonderful extended holiday. All the best.
@@stephenhadley2490 I've lived in Australia 35 years in WA in Meekatharra ( outback), in South Australian, the Clare Valley and in Melbourne. I've never heard any Australian call them kangas or kangys. Where do they say that?
Not wallabies but Eastern Grey kangaroos. You will find mobs all along the Eastern Coast. Wallabies are much smaller and occasionally beat England in rugby.
Thy are eastern grey kangaroos not wallabies they are common on the east coast..you find the bigger red kangaroos further inland.
ah mystery solved! thank you so much
Koalas!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
they are the bestest
Nice to be with friends.
It really was ☺️

@@JeremyPitz-e8u ah it's so tough isn't it - can't imagine what it was like on your own! For sure, thank you so much. All the best
Wow. Lucky to see a koala. Very hard to spot.
we felt very lucky! It was amazing seeing them in their natural habitat
The shorten name for a kangaroo is a “Roo” and not a “ Kanga “. Kanga is small earth moving equipment company.
The Kanga loader is named after a kangaroo hence the logo. Lots of people call kangaroos Kangas or kangys or roos or a dozen other things.

@ well I say it and the people who made the kanga probably did. Anyway it’s her channel. She can call them what she wants.
Does it really matter? We know what she means
ahhh I see! noted, thanks for your comment :)
Great video have fun in Oz
thanks so much! 😄
those koalas were sooooo cute ❤️🩹
weren't they!!
Grab the Kanga, and make some Kangaroo Tail Soup !!.....Delicious !
😂
Never send a kangaroo to get beer. They put it in their pouch and it's all shaken up when they return.

@@HeidiRoseRose
Just a 'guess'. British survive in Baked Beans. They even make up a COMPLETE Breakfast along with black pudding and the rest.
Baby roos are joeys and only 25 mm when born.
ooh thank you will make sure I call them joeys! They are sooo cute
@ yes they are. Oh and the. Collective for kangaroos is a mob.
You have a lovely name.✌️😃
