Too bad about the tournament. Looks like you had a great time fishing anyway. I’m going to have to check out that jetty. Never been there. If you’d planned to fish there what would you have brought different? I have jetty fished a couple times in Newport but didn’t have any luck.
PNW Fishing TV - 1-2oz jig heads and 5” thumper tails or curly tails for bass and lingcod. More 1 oz weights, bear paw no knot snaps, baitholder hooks and a bait threader. There are lots of different species to chase, but be prepared to lose a lot of gear.
I was there for the tournment too, but decided to fish the surf anyway and ended up getting 4 keeper Red Tails. Plan B's can end in a good day! Looks like I should have hit the jetty while I was in the area too haha nice video.
Yeah I wasn’t sure if I should stick around or not. I thought the road heading down to the parking area was closed so I played it safe and drove to Tillamook
Don Best - The boaters were all trolling for fall salmon. In my opinion they are still a couple weeks early, but I guess it’s worth a try. And no, I didn’t see a single fish caught on any boats.
Very cool video my friend
Thank you!
Heck yea! Awesome day out there! Great video, thanks for sharing!!
TrophyShotOutdoors - Great day! Thanks for watching!
Very nice multi species my friend. That was a beautiful spot!!
common man's fly fishing - Yeah that’s one really nice thing about the jetty, you never know what you’ll catch.

Plan B involved some catching 👍
Grant McIntosh - Sure did. And that always help soften the blow. Thanks for watching Grant.
Man I need to fly out there
As long as you don’t wear any University of Oregon gear, you’re always welcome.
Too bad about the tournament. It still looked like you had a fun day.
Sounding like he’s rescheduling for October. And yeah, ended up being a pretty good day anyway.
That's too bad the tourney got canceled. Good plan B though.
MooMoo Outdoors - Yeah, I wasn’t ready to just head home.
Way to turn lemons into lemonade. The tourney canceled the day of? Gnarly
Hook2Cook - Thanks. And yeah, I think there was a permitting issue, but oh well, things happen. It will probably get rescheduled
Nice. What rod are using here?
I go over the rod around 1:30 into the video
What are the boaters fishing for? Did they do any good?

I live around the corner 😂😂
You must know all the best fishing holes then!
I live in GaribLdi .
*All that water and yet these boats MUST come fish right in front of you as if you are in their way...some people deserve a kick to the head.*
Some days are worse than others...
