    Try fall fishing, more action than spring run

    Guides fill the boat with people if possible. We have been on guide trips just my wife and I and enjoyed. Have been with other people and had a good fishing trip. A few trips we were dealing with rude people, and one guy smoked like a train and dumb as a stick. One trip guy behind us tried to yard in a fish and almost took out the guide when the lead went flying for his head. Then blamed my wife being on the boat reason he didn't get a fish. I didn't hear it or I would have had words with the jerk. My wife heard it and got off the boat and left. I had to wait to get my salmon.

      I’ve been on a bunch of charters usually you have a private option or shared . I just wasn’t aware that it was a shared charter .

      @@DougieBFishing I had no idea there were still men that think like a caveman. This jerk insulted my wife. With the noise of the boat going in I couldn't hear what he was saying. Would have never guessed someone blaming my wife for him not getting a fish. The guy lost the fish because he tried to yard it in and was pulling really hard when the Spring Chinook Salmon came straight up out of the water and popped the hook. The lead ball weight went right for the guides head, and he ducted out of the way. Luckily no one else was in the way of the lead. My wife said the guy sitting next to the jerk told him it is no one's fault we didn't get a fish. The jerk said no women should be on the boat. Really crazy there are still people that think that way.

    Ya. Some days are tough. So what happened? Just morning action? No take downs or nothing afterwards? Big Dave is the one for that area. Sorry there wasn’t much action for ya. Those kings can give a guy a good arm and upper body workout😂 Tight lines and hoping for better days for ya to get the skunk off.

      @@kwikrench just some morning action . Yeah Dave did everything I would of expected out of a good guide he went above and beyond . I’m trying to go back in October .

      @@DougieBFishing fall chinook are more aggressive and the landing ratio is better. Springers are a bit tougher catch albeit better flavor in my opinion. Hopefully you get in on that action.

    What was the guide saying something about no fins or pins?

    • @DougieBFishing
      @DougieBFishing  Місяць тому

      So you can’t keep wild king salmon in certain places . You have hatchery or wild , with hatchery salmon the adapose fin is cut before they leave the hatchery . Those are the ones you can keep .
