Major technical problems here, It's obvious that Chad's voice isn't the same anymore, but I can tell there's a tremendous problem with Chad's monitoring, it's like he can't hear himself almost the whole concert
He's been playing with Hellyeah all those years Mudvayne was on hiatus. He is just bad live. Always was (Except for that Live in Peoria which was decent). Even with Hellyeah it's not that good live.
You would think Chad knew breath control by now. Breathe when you don't have to do vocals. I am glad they are back!!!!!!!! I have missed Mudvayne so much!!!!
The instruments are on point studio quality. If you expect Chad to sound like a studio album live then you've never been to a concert. Mathew mcdonah the best drummer of all time. That's coming from a life long Neil peart fan.

My parents are in their late 60's and sound nothing like they did in their 20's and 30's. This whole idea that shit should always remain the same and never change is utter bullshit! Major technical issues with the mic. A light gassing of reverb with very little delay send would help Chad to catch his pitch on long notes. The gain should be higher on the mic line so he doesn't have to be screaming or projecting at this level. These songs are really demanding to sing. The noise gate sounds too heavy also. Just my 2 cents still love to see them playing again.

Im really thinking there was an issue with the sound and their in ears as well. There were way too many instrumental issues in this song too like missed cues and timing. With how much they've been rehearsing, there's no reason it should have been this sloppy.
Yeah dude major issue with the sound engineering. Chad does NOT sound like that. The mic seems to have a noise gate or something, and the EQ is terrible.
Yea it was off, they fixed it later on but first song didn't even sound like him, he knew it too, soon as he started. They took few long breaks in between songs I think tryin adjust shit idk. I'm jus glad I can say I was in the crowd they first show back

Pior que ele já esta batendo nos 50, e ele nunca foi um vocalista técnico, já apresentava desgaste há uns 15 anos. Era um vozeirão, mas não vejo chances de melhora daqui pra frente, pelo menos não sem umas belas aulas de canto, e talvez alguma intervenção cirúrgica.

Mas fico triste também, cresci ouvindo muito essa banda.

In my opinion thier front of sound engineer did them no credit at all. The overall mix of the band is very good however the vocals are far to high in the mix. This really exaggerates every rough note or break in his voice. A good sound engineer would also have pushed him back in the mix to create a fuller sound. I have listened to a few other videos on here and the trend follows across all the other vids. The other observation was he constantly signaling to the monitor engineer which would suggest he wasn't happy with what he was hearing in his ears. If he wasnt getting the right mix himself it would have been very hard to pitch or gauge tone. I really feel thier sound crew let the production down for them. However its fucking awesome to see them back and I cant wait to see them!

@@joer8954 My g/f and I left after A Day to Remember (they were great) since she had to work this morning. We didn't want to be stuck in traffic for 3.5 hours after Mudvayne. Her daughter and her crew hung around but bailed after a couple of songs. She told me we didn't miss anything and the lead singer sounded pretty bad.

Hopefully in the next few shows this will help chad train his voice a bit. I think the pandemic and Vinnie's passing got to him he has seemed to look a bit chunkier than when hellyeah split. His voice was pretty good considering how stripped it's been in past years in 2019-2020. It's possible he had more motivation then though. But best of luck to him and the band
I was there sound guys on main stage sucked. Friday during slipknot when they hit beer kegs on left side of stage opposite clown thats about all u could hear it pierced your ears. The side stage sounded way better

These old vocalists set the bar very high when they where young. You can tell he's laboring big time & it just sounds awful in my opinion..part of it could be the video (not professional at all) , another could be sound, but I can tell above all that he's just not really able to pull it off on that night

So happy that i have seen Mudvayne live when Chad still could sing his songs. He really lost his range and technique. Still would go to the show if they come to Switzerland.
So did Mudvayne really stop making music and touring because Chad can't hit the Vayne anymore? I mean I love Mudvayne but I'm glad I missed this show. Horribly horrible...They was so much better when I seen them on the lost and found tour. Hope he keeps practicing so they can get back to where they use to if that's their plan.

Did these dudes even rehearse before this show? Super sloppy in the beginning guitars fall of track and this dudes voice is shot like a first band practice in 5 years ! Lol damn the scream before the middle change in and out that’s funny. Great band not talking shit just sounds like this was a jam session for the first time and with that crowd is a shame people spending hard money on those tickets. Wow

These old vocalists set the bar very high when they where young. You can tell he's laboring big time & it just sounds awful in my opinion..part of it could be the video (not professional at all) , another could be sound, but I can tell above all that he's just not really able to pull it off on that night

I have to agree, which is sad because I was just excited about the fact that these guys were back together. I mean this band meant a lot to me during the early part of high school but Chad just sounds so bad. I don’t know if it’s because it’s been over a decade since he’s played with Mudvayne or if it’s because his voice is just destroyed.
