NOTE: Nightfall's release has been delayed until early 2023, but we're working hard on it!

Elden Ring wasn't delayed, they just wanted to make way for this.
Shit. Now elden ring will be delayed again then the mod will be delayed again in an infinite loop
I'm actually more excited for this than Elden Ring. Daughters of Ash and The Convergence showed me how good mods can be. And this is made by the creators of Daughters.

@@vitaminnc6443 Nah, I don't have anything against it. Just other things pique my interest more. Nightfall seems to be taking the gameplay in a different direction, that's mainly what it is. ER looks like DS3 with jumping and amazing magic.

Yeah, I don't get what problem people have with waiting. Not like there isn't enough games to play or things to do anyway.
To answer a common question, Dark Souls: Nightfall will be exclusive to Dark Souls: Remastered. The Remaster has some technical features that were necessary for the scope of the Nightfall mod, so it won't be possible to port this to Prepare to Die Edition.
Out of curiosity, what features are those?

@Dipshit_zerotwo no, this is what makes pc great is the flexibility and no limits to what people can do and mod games.
The mod must be too big for PTDE's 32-bit DX9 based engine, it most likely requires the Remaster's 64-bit DX11 based engine to run smoothly.

Dark Souls 1: Part 2 looks so good, i hope one day you guys make Dark Souls 2: Part 2 Scholar of the Second Sin.
Check out archthrones, it's a ds3 mod but they are remaking am entire new game out if ds3. It's very ds2 inspired, they turned the profane capital into the sunken ruins of Drangleic castle. They even have a world that is literally Heide's tower of flame before it got swallowed by the ocean.

I'm consistently amazed by the levels of detail and amount of work that go into these "mods". When really they should be full blown expansions or games of their own.

YO i just got a hold of DS1 on PC recently so i could actually play with mods finally. wasnt expecting to hear this good news so suddenly after. looking forward to what you guys have in store!

granted i only recognize the name Zullie, but that alone already gives me a good feeling for this mod.

@@andrewvisser5409 i dont know how i didnt know about that first video, after seeing that im now not sure what to expect from the end result of all this given how very little we've seen. i mean they had most of a year to get to where they are now with the only polished and finished looking assets seen so far being the Blistering Demon, that one new enemy type, the new NPC and his gear and the new menu items. with re-looking at the release date trailer(only one month more from what they originally planned? wow) it looked like things would be mostly a remix of existing assets. but they say a new world map so we will see.
this may not be the kind of mod i was initially expecting it to be, especially with how vastly different the new gameplay seems to be. if nothing else im sure this will be a very interesting mod no matter what.

Take as much time as you need guys! Honestly I'm really excited for the voice acting on this project, and so far, it is top quality, great job.
Back when modding first became prevalent for Dark Souls, particular due to people like InfernoPlus popularizing and creating the tools for accessibility, I fucking CALLED that it was only a matter of time until someone made a whole ass DLC for the game.
And look where we've gotten! This looks incredible! I'm so excited for it to come out. With any luck, this will pave the way for dozens of people to start making their own full-scale mods and give Skyrim a run for it's money
Most of the tools existed long before InfernoPlus came along. But he definitely did some innovative stuff.
