- Big mod is big, but we're still working hard on it, folks! Thanks for sticking with us. (What a year, huh?)
I'm not allowed to play Zelda until Nightfall is finished, which should tell you how serious things are now.
NOTE: Video contains some footage from the 2022 demo and some minor additional spoilers. There are no spoilers in the audio.

To be honest, a year and a half ago I was disappointed, like probably every one of us, that the release of this mod was delayed. However, I immediately realized that I would be even more disappointed if the mod was released quickly without being perfect. The mods you make are absolutely amazing and worth waiting for years, so take as much time as you need and know that there will always be people who will wait for it, and above all, don't apologize for it because you are doing something that you can stop at any time, because you don't have to do it. It looks amazing so good luck and thanks for even doing it!

I was as surprised as you to see the npc questline lagging behind that much
It is something I look forward to the most, what caught me onto this mod was how you started it at the very end as a hollow walks out to begin the dark age and getting instantly hooked
It’s crazy. This was supposed to come out a few months before Elden Ring iirc. Then Elden Ring dropped and there wasn’t an update for almost a year. Now it’s looking like the Elden Ring DLC will release before this comes out. I just have to wonder if the hype has faded at this point. This was almost the centerpiece of the souls community 2 years ago, the demo came out and everyone was even more excited, then nothing. I actually figured it was cancelled at this point
I’m sure it will great when it comes out, but if it doesn’t release before the Elden ring DLC, I bet we don’t get to see anything of substance from this project until mid to late 2024, if not 2025. I’m sure I don’t speak for everyone, but maybe something like Cinders, where you release the mod and then update as you please, might be better than letting the hype die out for the mod
They can always send early copies of the mod to certain UA-camrs to help build up the hype. I’m pretty sure the big names of the Souls community would be pretty happy to play it and release a video on it.
2024 update? Take all the time you need for the mod but a progress update would be awesome.
Yeah, at this rate Shadow of the Erdtee is going to come out before we get more Nightfall news, let alone a release date.

Not related to the modder, just a fellow dev.
They are working on the soulstruct libraries and on the soulstruct Blender plugin, according to the project history (which is public on Github), it's safe to assume that this mod is still being working on, there has been some dev progress on the tooling that they created.

Lets fucking GOOO I've been WAITING for an update video for this mod and every single one I see just gets me more and more excited to see the final result. Great to hear from this project again! Also, about the quests being last place in that questionnaire - That's probably just because people were only allowed to choose one thing. Quests and NPCs play a massive part in building the right kind of atmosphere and spark curiosity, but most players would never put them above the general world exploration or the intriguing fights the series is known for. That doesn't mean they're not important though - all the work that's being put into this aspect of the mod is greatly appreciated! Can't wait to one day play this.

i call it this is gonna be the best mod for dark souls period, im so excited and please take all the time you need to finish this, so you can be proud for what you accomplished
Thank you for all of your hard work and the update! I do have one concern from this video though, I do like playing pure casters (pyromancers) not for op spells but the game play loop of spacing the boss to hit it with my spells and using different spells for different situations and i do find that alot of mod authors for souls mods only balance the game for new weapons. So i appreciate the fact that you guys are balancing the spells, but i would love to see new "main" spells as well.
