Lyrics:
What would I have to do
To get you to notice me too?
Do I stand in line?
One of a million admiring eyes
Walk a tightrope way up high
Write your name across the sky?
I'm going crazy, just to let you know
You'd be amazed how much I love you so, oh baby
When get my hands on you, I won't let go
This time, I know it's for real
Should I write or call your home?
Shout it out with a megaphone?
The radio, TV news
Got to find a way to get the message to you
To say, I love you, with a neon sign
Anything to make you mine
I'm going crazy, just to let you know
If I wait too long for you, I might explode, oh baby
I've been around the block enough to know
This time, I know it's for real
Ooh, baby
This time
This time
This time, this time
Oh, baby
This time, this time
Oh, baby
Walk a tightrope way up high
Write your name across the sky
I'm going crazy, just to let you know
You'd be amazed how much I love you so, baby
When get my hands on you, I won't let go
This time, I know it's for real
I'm going crazy, just to let you know
If I wait too long for you, I might explode, baby
I've been around the block enough to know
This time, I know it's for real - Розваги
Donna Summer's last big hit! --- she'll never be forgotten
Not her last big hit; #contepartiro #Igotyourlove
@@charlesdavis545 In terms of making billboard top10, it certainly was her last.
I remember this being a great comeback song for Donna Summer in the summer of 1989. One of her all-time best
Amen me toooooooo awesome song !
❤❤❤❤❤🇧🇷
I’ll never get sick of this song
Love it and I am a heavy metal guitar rocker!!
Maybe the whole world should see how Dhani de vito Kylie and Danni Minogue and boozy former airport manager Andris Betti Rita forever ask the question of Heather Mitchell aka Australian spellbinder series Ashka and Cobra 11 Charlotte Schwab, how do they get along with Donna Summer - This Time I Know It's For Real and meanwhile we can do dumbbells, that we would be stronger than Hafphoor Julius Bjornson is now?
Nor I.
Ok and?
One of favorite things about RPDR is how many classics/bops it introduces me to. This popped on and I thought "Where has this been all my life?!?!"
Same! I was in elementary school when it first came out in 1989, but I had never heard of it until Drag Race. The '80s stations should play it!
Proof that she didn't need disco, disco needed her!
Freaking A ! I agree with you there!
This song is still off the hook!
Her Voice spoke it All
Amen!
EXACTLY!!! She was the freakin’ BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
U have hit the nail on the head n ur comment re who needed whom !
The beautiful, wonderful, talented, and irreplaceable Donna Summers. She was taken way too soon. What a loss! All the joy and happiness she gave us with her music.
Corectamundo great voice beautiful woman ❤
Thank you RPDR for introducing me to this song. 😊
Me too
I'm 56 yrs. old. I never knew the 1980's was going to be such a wonderful and unforgettable decade. And it certainly was. You never know what you had until it's gone forever.
I’m your exact age. At “this time” Donna had been out of the limelight for several years. I grew up with her and loved her voice in the Disco era. Then to hear this new hit come out years later and to realize she could still blow the current singers out of the water was incredible! Love you, Miss D!
I am 61 years old and heard this song at JFK International Airport the other day on the intercom at 1:00 a.m. coming back from Istanbul, Turkey heading to Alaska... The song reverberated in my head all the way back home. Now I realize that most of the best voices and talents ae in the past..... fast forward to today's "artists" .. NO comparison. Taylor Swift ? ....meh.....
@@kroschelfilms A beautiful track to guide you home ( ^_^ )
So true. Happy Days!
Except memories .....im 54 myself
Who still listen In 2024??❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
たくさんいますよ❤❤🎵❤❤

Donna Summer will forever be the queen of disco R.I.P. 💗💗💗
March 2024 still listening to this Queen ❤
Rupaul/RPDR deserves a GRAMMY'S LIFEWARD ACHIVIMENT for teach the children about real music!! TRAILBLAZING HERO!!!
This is one of the best songs she ever made. We will never forget Donna Sommer!
Esther Velasquez: Sadly, it was Donna Summer's last BIG international hit!
For me it’s the long version of Mc Arthurs Park.
RIP Queen.

Hi I vividly remember her name was Donna Summers, now it's Summer, this a mandela effect??? 🤔
I prefer the earlier stuff to the Stock -Aiken-Waterman sound, but to each his own. This song reminds me of clubbing with my mates. Saw her live in 1979, I think, and it was amazing!
Here in 2024 to the glory of God.
Rest in peace dear queen of disco.
She is definitely in my top 10 of alltime female singers. Effortless.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE HER!
Never!!!!!!
😉
Great song 😄 😄 😄 😄
Love this song 😃😃
She's brillant 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Who's still listening in 2023?? 😊🎉❤
🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
Moi ! .. 🎶🕺✨
🙋🙋🙋
Meeeeeeee! Love it! 🎉🎉🎉
Here I'm😊 listening too
The emotions this song brings with it during a very difficult time but also super fond memories. This song swept the gay clubs during the AIDS crisis and I lost many friends and a partner. It’s hard not to cry a bit but still smile from the friendships that have stood the test of time. And somehow I’m still here. IMO one of Donna Summer’s strongest club songs. Has so much meaning attached to it.
Thank you for sharing as I feel the same with many songs going back to 1980, the year I came out.. Every song reminds me of someone I have lost as well.. Sometimes it's hard to listen to them.. And by the grace of God, I survived as well..🥲
On holiday in the Isle Of Wight in summer of 1989 as an eleven-year-old. This was THE tune!!!! 😊😊❤❤
What would I have to do, to get to see the Isle of Wight too 🎶
Feb 2024 and still listening! 🥰😍🤩
Love it ❤
I cannot accept that such a big talent and a beautiful lady is gone.
🥰聴いてるよ
Donna Summer: genius vocalist.
Along with Mike Stock
Donna was truly one of the greatest singers of her time!
Even today.
Forever... Queen of disco ❤❤❤always
What a terrible loss when she passed this was one of best hits ever she was Queen
Thank God I was able to be a part of this amazing era!
What a fantastic song. I remember when this hit the airwaves in late 1988. There's only one Donna Summer. Missing you and Mama Soul so much! Thank you for posting this gem.
It was 1989.
@@eightiesmusic1984 dona summer you will be in my heart for ever you are the best why you leave so soon we loove you donna

This is when music was fun.
😎👍💜
I am slowly turning into the 'back in the good old days' lady
Brava
Hard to believe this song was in the charts 32 years ago. it sounds fresh. Terrific singer and a well produced song - a formidable combination.
That's the hallmark of a Stock-Aikman-Waterman production.
@@kirkcather3670 One of their best.
Absolutely! They were very careful production-wise because it was the one and only Donna Summer!
True story
@@kirkcather3670 SAW should have been with donna by 1987 and never signed rick ass-tea.
Donna Summer - Such an incredibly talented lady. She made so much great music. A legend.
One of the most uplifting songs ever made. Miss you so much dear Donna and even though you're gone you keep lighting up our lives🕯 🙏🏻🧘🏽♂️
You Know it, Charlie!
2024 anyone?? Love this song so much, probably my favorite from the queen of disco! The whole album, Another Place and Time is amazing!!
I'm in tears 😢 I wanna go back to that era
Donna was a musical genius and a very honorable person.
Not sure Donna was honourable given that she was a drug user.

@Logically Reasonable @Logically Reasonable ACTUALLY, giorgio composed and produced most of her songs and she was the songwriter
As a former radio on air personality and program director THiS song is PRODUCED perfectly!
Definitely one of Stock Aitken Waterman’s best!
Depending on your age. Many great artists have passed away in the last 10 years or more. They will be forever remembered but many of us common folks won't have that popularity around the world. We have to do right and pray......May 2024
She was a high soprano opera singer, I was one for 2 years that's why her vocals are spot on! Wish I went into pop, but am happy that I earned this honor, no fear, now I have so many accomplishments. There are people who will tell you not to try, insecure people are cowards.
Donna Summer was just amazing. I loved her voice and this song is my all time favorite by her. It's such a bop
well put!
yup she was a Black Sucess, I miss her
O
I can definitely relate! Its a masterpice. Hot Stuff, Love is in control, and Dim All the lites are my other faves of hers but yes this is my fave of all of em.
This should have been nominated for Grammy and won
Who's Listening In 2024 ❤

Donna Summer and UK's music heavyweight trio of Stock, Aiken & Waterman are a great collaboration indeed.
Quite right my friend. This was S.A.W Jewel in their crown..❤❤❤
The queen of Pop. No equal. RIP. Donna. You are a legend.
1989 mit Töchterchen in Griechenland gewesen. Was für ein Hit ❤ diese Frau einfach der Hammer. Schade das es sowas heute nicht mehr gibt.

Rupaul Drag race 🏁 brought me here #2024
I'm mesmerized with Mirage
Yessss could not take my eyes off her 😍😍@@DryanEats
Literally what brought me here!
Mirage brought me here, and Donna Summer kept me here
morphine and mirage slayed me, but the vocals of this song had me ascending to heaven!!😩
Amazing song sung by a beautiful woman.
Is that a rebel flag?
What a combination: Incredible voice and incredible beauty! Most singers would be getting a little stale 15 years into their hit-making careers but not Donna; this was huge in 1989!
Still hit of mine 2023 🎉❤
She could make anything sound good!
We need this remastered
Donna Sommer was and had a great voice as a disco singer pop music was never the same.❤
Favorite! 80s songs are the best. You won't get to hear another one like this ever again.
One of most unique singing voices, absolutely timeless. Only 1 Donna Summer, there'll never be another
Love this 💞
I was a green small town gay boy who just turned 21 moving to DC going to my first gay bar, this song and Donna started my lifelong lqbtq journey. ❤🌈
I was in elementary school in Texas at the time this originally came out in 1989, but I discovered it in a DC gay club while watching Drag Race!
Lol. That's the dumbest comment ever
The world and me miss Donna
Such a cute, uplifting song. Donna's just adorable in this.
I agree

Hey never stop listening to the queen! No one else ever close to her. Remembering her and family on Mother’s Day 2020 and on the day we lost her next week as well. RIP 8 years later dear lady!
No, nobody else was worthy of wiping the dust from her shoes.
God only takes the best I know that he's taken my daughter and son Yr half apart x
Back In 1989 80s pop fantastic
One of the best of hers and thanks in part to the Hit Factory of Stock, Aitken, and Waterman. RIP Donna, the voice of my youth in the 70s and 80s.

Clearly you weren't alive then because this was out in 1989 and I was in my 30s then.

First time I heard this was at a dance club in Cleveland called Aquilon. I still remember being so excited to hear new Donna Summer! She looked and sounded so good! Love this song--and her--forever!
The one thing I love about this video, is Donna's smile and the look in her eyes. O could say that little girls dancing at the final scene, are her daughters Mimi and Brooklyn or Amanda. I will always love they.
Ana São Luís MA Grande Donna Summer ,Adoroooooo essas músicas que são MASSA ❤❤❤❤❤❤
