The worst part of a HasLab is the short time window to get onboard. Though, I also don't believe Hasbro will never re-release HasLab items. Some folks seem to vehemently think "this is a one-time thing" but really, Hasbro still has G1 Transformers molds hanging around and they're pumping out re-releases of those. They do not destroy tooling and they're quite happy to re-run figures 10, 20, 30 years later.
While the word of a corporate spokesperson is never worth much, Hasbro has explicitly stated they will never release these molds again. That is part of the draw to HasLab, the exclusivity. They will certainly make Unicron again, but it is extremely unlikely they will ever release this Unicron, or Victory Saber, or Jabba’s Sail Barge, or Sentinal ever again. It’s a bit apples-to-oranges to compare a HasLab projects to a 40 year old G1 toy. These are way more complex and vastly more expensive with a much smaller audience appeal. As far as the timeframe: People have a month to decide if they want to back the project, which we feel is plenty of time. In fact, this is the average time on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns. Although you can set the length as long as 60 days, both platforms recommend 30-40. Thanks for the comment.
