OK, I did not expect this but I have enjoyed the HECK out of it. Not only am I a toy collector like your fine selves, but I am also a black belt in Shinkyokushin Karate. I started with the sport side of it and have since progressed to teaching and my greatest learning has come from teaching. My technique may not have gotten much better (I'm built for Judo, if I am honest). As for self-development, I agree with you both, the person finds the style that suits them. Hard punching and kicking, sweating and general working hard suited me then. Shinkyokushin is an honest style. The approach is "hit them harder than they hit you".
Using an art to develop yourself is a great way. use karate as a tool fir life, not the other way around. Big Osu to you both.

Thank you so much! And you make an excellent point. I think we learn learn A LOT when we have to teach it to someone else. So glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!

26:31 list of MMA forms include⤵️
    -Pankration
    -Some Karate
-Grav Maga (which is mostly Combat)
    -Sambo
I’m pretty sure there’s more out there but those are some that come to mind. Pankration is like the grandfather of MMA because it mixed both Boxing with Wrestling
Edited: I’m your new subscriber guys
Now I’ve done Kickboxing for 2 years, Folkstyle Wrestling for 4 years and MMA for 5 years. I did do other martial arts but i didn’t stay very long which are BJJ, Freestyle Wrestling, Muay Thai and Boxing

Welcome to Mirror Twins. We honestly didn’t think this video would do this well or get this much interest. We’re mostly a toys and games channel, but perhaps we’ll do more martial arts stuff in the future. Thanks for subscribing!!!

My Favorite Kick from martial arts like Taekwondo & Capoeira & all of kickboxing is
    -Question Mark Kick
    -Roundhouse
    *-Compass Half Moon Kick*
In Grappling my Favorite moves are
    -Double Leg
    *-Hip toss*
    -Trip
    -Arm bar
    -Cradle
Edited: 22:21 in other words it’s all defensive more than offensive. Those styles are a lot more focused on a lot of counters and Movement. But I like Tai Chi more than Kung Fu because it’s movement is more about common sense on *How you should Move* rather than How to move in general. (Like tai chi to me feels more like your moving into an opponent while kung fu feels more like how to move around your opponent) I know this is a stretch but Tai Chi would go good with Wing Chun because the strikes and movement of them both can go both ways if that makes sense. 23:49 called it again

Excellent choices! Kyle loves the power of a good round kick while Justin prefers the tackiness of a well-timed hook/swing kick. Of course, we’re talking sparring, not street fighting. For grappling, we like hip toss, wrist locks and sweeps, though admittedly, the latter two are more difficult to pull off.
Thanks again for the great comments!

I’m sorry if this message is long but hear me out!
Before watching the video I mostly think that what martial art your comfortable with is what will work best for you.
I say this because there’s no true style of fighting to fit everyone because some people may be bigger than others or shorter than others and what if the person can’t do certain moves. So the martial art mostly picks the person not the other way around.
Out of every martial art there is one thing I tell people that I tutor how to fight. “Avoid Touching the ground” and I say this because if your on the ground your mostly at a disadvantage no matter the martial you do. But people may argue with me and say “what about wrestling and BJJ, that requires being on the ground” that’s when I say “Not Exactly” because most of Wrestling and BJJ teaches you how to get off the ground. Why? Well in grappling if your on the ground you get pinned and you can be put into a submission. (Keep in mind that your losing if your opponent is always above you even if they are on the ground with you.) That also goes with striking! You will be kicked and you’ll get pounded from the ground! I hate to say this but I would rather be off the ground than be on the ground with some dude kicking me,
breaking my arm with an arm bar and putting me into cradle.
That’s why I said “Avoid Touching the ground” and i tell everyone that.
So back the main reason why I said this: If the martial art your doing is helping you Avoid Touching the Ground your good my friend.
But if I had to pick a martial to fit all it would be MMA because it shows you both ground and striking methods that you can CHOOSE to use. Martial arts work like this: The more it fits and works the more you can do with it
    Edited: 5:02 called it

My Hapkido instructor used to say, "Don't go to the ground in a street fight unless you are sure nobody's gonna interrupt the fight. It really sucks to take a guy down and then his friends or the bouncers start kicking you." But he would also say, "If you get taken to the ground it is vital that you know what to do down there. So study grappling."

      @@ziweiyuan exactly
That’s why I practice both grappling and Striking. So if my opponent takes me to the ground I go into Grapple mode then use what I know from Wrestling and BJJ.
The instructor could’ve also said: “If you see a weapon, run don’t fight” like sure you may be fast but your not faster then a bullet or stronger than blade. In other words pick and choose your battles wisely because on the street the meaning of Sports goes out the window because you can use anything now and there’s no referee to save you.
      Which is why⤵️
Fun Fact: In Some or All Places In America you can go to Jail or Prison for using moves you learn from martial arts onto a Thug no matter if they’re armed or not. Because the moves you learn from martial arts are counted as a weapon! Which gives the Phrase “A human weapon” since most moves can do damage to a person and sometimes kill them. An example of this happened during a fight between Uriah Hall and Adam Cella. If a fighter like Uriah Hall can total immobilize a person like that. I have to agree to why you can go to prison

@@mirrortwins9694 If I had it to say over, though, I would've put it like this: "Now that you're a black belt you're going to learn everything you're doing wrong, and you're going to start realizing how much you still don't know...but you know what? That's the best part! I've had way more fun expanding my horizons after black belt than I did just getting the rank."
