Very, very, very well done. Masterfully displayed. I dont think people can appreciate the amount of thought that went into the placements. You executed this masterfully!! Love it!!!!
Thank you for the very kinds words! I certainly tried! I think I've probably rearranged things like a 100 times over the years before I got to this point. Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!
Seriously, thank you! There has been a lot of time and thought that has gone into making this setup a reality, so I really appreciate your kind words and support. Thanks for watching!
I gotta say, never been a huge fan of mega books, but those Kreo transformers sets were pretty darn good. I'm always tempted to but the mega book pokemon sets too. That's for watching!
I agree! My philosophy is that if you love the IP that a non-Lego manufacturer makes sets for, than there’s no shame in buying it. That’s why I love Halo Megabloks and all the military COBI sets.
You did a really good job displaying your collection in a clean and organized way. The sets have their own space to breath and show off their details. Also gave me a great idea for what to do with my Skyline Series. 👍
That's awesome to hear! I thought about doing the Lego world map as the centerpiece, but we already had made the customized map, but it could be a cool way to go. Lots of possibilities! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your kind words!
@@imaginationbrickshopI thought the same thing but also have a large framed map where we scratch off places we've been so it's a great idea for me renovating office. Also did a quick number crunching and just based on the $50K, it roughly translates to $277/month on this 15yr hobby/passion. I only bring that up for perspective because I know several people in my life that spend way more than that on things like cigarettes, beer, golf. Maybe I'm just trying to rationalize this fun hobby, but for me it gives good perspective.
@@imaginationbrickshopjust some perspective and food for thought....if we take the ~$35,000 you spent personally, it translates to roughly $198/month. I know many people that spend that and even more on hobbies/vices. Things such as cigarettes, beer, Starbucks, golf, cars, etc etc. Maybe I'm rationalizing this fun hobby/passion but seems like a good outlet for an individual.
Jeez! I love this video! I saw this like a week ago but just went back to it ❤ Dude this is awesome. I love this. This channel is literally like my happy place . So good! 🙏 U know who I am btw
Amazing collection. This is the sort of space I dream of for my sets. Would love to be able to display all mine like this. I’ve so much and live in a relatively small house so have to rotate and can only have a few bits out at once. The rest is in the attic and in my storage unit.
First, let me saw that I know I'm very lucky to have this space. I will also say though that this space was something I also dreamed about for over a decade until a combination of luck, hard work, and timing all came together. If you are interested in seeing that journey - I highly recommend you tune into my other channel "The Imagination Woodshop" to see how it came together. In the meantime - keep dreaming, working, and planning - you never know if and when your chance may come! Thanks for watching!
I recommend brinklinking yourself the original 'Batpod' from The Dark Knight. It looks great next to 'The Tumbler' They released a similar version this year with the buildable Batman figure but I prefer the OG version.
Funny you say that because I have OG set of instructions for a batpod ready to go. However, I just saw a Batman MOC done by the ARVO brothers "Dark Gargoyle" and I'm totally in love with it, so I think I'll build that first. Thanks for wathcing!
Thanks! It took a bit to decide how I wanted the lighting to look. It's definitely not perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with the final set up. Thanks for watching!
It's true you don't. I sold it when there was a rush on them and made a tidy sum of cash that I used to buy a bunch of sets. I don't know if I'll ever own it again to be honest - just too many other sets I want, and it's a really tough set to display. Apprreciate you watching!
Nice collection! What kind of shelves are your Brickheadz displayed on. I'd like to do something similar in my collection room for some of my star wars pops. Thanks.
Great question! I found them on Amazon just under 48" floating shelves. The lip is a little tall, so they all sit on pieces of thick foam board cut into strips from Hobby Lobby. American Flat I believe was the brand but there were multiple options. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
I just got Rivendell, I’ll start the build this weekend. Where do you rank it in your collection? Some say it’s one of the best sets Lego ever released. From a build perspective is it top 10 for you? Thanks
It's definitely top 3 and an argument could be made for best ever. I have a whole video devoted to building and reviewing this set, so I highly recommend you give it a watch. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy Rivendell as much as I did!!!
@ I seen the video after I made this comment. Today is the first time I came across this channel. New to the world of Lego. Been building about 2 months. I feel down the Lego rabbit hole head first. I love the hobby, but it’s expensive. All the great sets are 200 plus.
@@Imprisoned1995 Awesome! Yeah, I totally agree. The best sets are always so much money. That's why I tend to collect themes and not go for everything. Good luck on the rabbit hole - it's one you can get lost in pretty quickly, but you'll definitely have fun doing it! Thanks again.
@Anita7702 Good question. It was around 2014 and I remember being in the Lego store and my wife and I talking about should we go for modulars since there were most of them still on the shelf. Since I didn't have Green Grocer, we decided not to and focus on other themes. A decision I still regret to this day!!!
Great question. I keep the larger boxes but not the small ones like the Brickheadz. I also typically don't keep many of the push tab boxes. I imagine I have probably 60-80% of my boxes still. I used to keep everyone without fail but it became a space thing as well as a realization I would probably never sell these sets or that it would not matter if I did and it had or did not have the box. Thanks for watching!
2010 - it was my first venture in Lego investing. Buy 3 rule is you sell two once the price hits a 300% increase, so you essentially get the set for free and reinvest profits into future sets. Many big sets at the time especially in the Creator Expert line were hitting 300% so it was a no brainer. Until it decided to not retire like all the others did after 2 years and stayed on shelves for 7 years. Live and learn!!! If you want more stories like that, I highly recommend listening to my Lego podcast. I have it streamed as well as on UA-cam. Thanks for watching!
@ thanks! yeah trying to store the gunship has been a pain, but I’m also trying to get all of my stuff in a shelf with glass doors so I can stop dusting so haven’t decided yet. Gunship may just have to sit outside a shelf with doors lol
I know I know. It's a bad habit I have about mispronouncing many names - especially when trying to film and think at the same time! Appreciate you watching!
Agreed, but Lego is way more fun open and built. The value of my collection is also based on new and used pricing depending of the state of the set. Thanks for watching!
I don't really consider Home Alone to be a modular building, but I am still sad I decided not to collect Modulars back in the day. Too much Lego and not enough money! Thanks for watching!
To each their own. As I say in the video, this is my hobby and my focus. Some people spend days out hunting or fishing, some people buy a big ol 50K RV and camp every weekend. I choose to spend my time and my hard earned money on this LEGO hobby. We spend time and money on the things we love - this is what I love. Thanks for watching!
LOL! Totally agree!!! Man, when that first came out we all thought it was totally going to give us exclusive access to stuff and be amazing. Nope - just a card with my name on it. Still looks cool though. Thanks for watching!
@srm20320 I sold the stand sealed for around $200. About the only positive thing I got out of it. Mnrproductions dropped an interesting video about it last night.
Don't worry friend - the classic batmobile that just came out a few months ago is on the list and will definitely be added the collection in 2025. Promise! Thanks for watching!
Same here. I’ve been collecting since I was 10 and I’m 60 now my husband swears that if we sold it we could buy four Lamborghinis. I have a video of everything for insurance purposes only my sister is always telling me to put it on UA-cam. I’m like no for fear of theft. I’ve always been very private about my collections.
@@michellewhitley8668 LOL! Probably a nice Lambo too. I'm not too worried about theft because having moved this collection from one house to another a few years back - if a thief is dumb enough to try it - they'll find a next to impossible task ahead of them! Have to ever tried to move an imperial star destroyer!!! :) Thanks for watching!
Yes, you are so right. My superstar destroyer is coming tomorrow. That is the only thing I missed out on so many people told me it was too hard to build and I was like no so I passed it up but nope, I finally get it. i got that Discovery Shuttle for Christmas 2 years ago, and the disney camera last year, still haven't built them 😆
