Dying Fetus is one of those bands that (along with Death) whatever album you may be listening to at the time will be your favorite album! With the entire rest of their catalog coming in at a sturdy 2nd place..... IMO

It had such a sloppy vibe but it was the funnest-sounding death metal I'd heard up to that point, I could smell the stale beer on the floor of the rehearsal room they probably recorded in. This version is just brutal and precise as all hell!! Love them both.
The version you're talking about is from their 1993 demo "Bathe In Entrails," John Gallagher recorded the drums on that demo despite not being a drummer. On this record, he played guitar and did the guttural "cookie monster" growling vocals (the screaming vocals are done by Jason Netherton who also played bass)

This albums kicks ass but Purification through Violence is so raw its almost insulting, thats why i love it. Dying Fetus is pretty much responsible for me getting into death metal

Yes this is the culmination and the continuum of the classics Mozart etc it's exactly what it is and that's why guys that go get when they're junior high better in elementary if you teach your son to play acoustic classical young it will finance their whole life it's applied to clean electric and all things badass like malmsteen and satrianiband you can shred anything I used to play cello and viola the larger violin 🎻 and applied to quality technical death is superb. shout out to PRAYER FOR CLEANSING
