You’d be surprised that even Charismatic churches are reluctant to come to a person’s house to cast a demon out. My church leader refused to come and said it was just “stress” that is causing the manifestation in one of my family member. I had to cast it out on my own. I was a new believer, but my gosh, I saw for myself that the Name of Jesus WORKS! I was quite irritated that the leader didn’t come, but in some ways I was also glad that I got to see the results for myself. My faith grew. It was not the last of my experiences with the supernatural. I learned more and grew.

When you have demon possession then the demon has to be cast out. This is rare in my experience. You are mostly going to be dealing with people who are demonically influenced rather than possessed. In this case you need long suffering., forgiveness, forbearance and love.

Faith in Jesus to remove demons through Him. We do not do this, we ask the Lord to by faith. I encountered this once and started reading psalms 51 and the man literally calmed down from a arrogant confident evil.

2 Timothy 2 was in context of souls being saved from the blinding of the devil, not deliverence from demons. There is no passage in scripture that shows Christ or an apostle "teaching" or "loving" a demon out. The answer should have been simple. Yes. When a demon manifests, cast it out.
He did say the "ordinary way of bringing people *out of the clutches of the Devil* is described" in 2 Timothy 2, and that this passage describes "the normal way that Timothy is being told to free people from *the will and the bondage of the Devil*."
I think spiritual gifts people claim to have are bogus these days. Tongues, demonic demolishing through commands, and others we saw in scripture aren't really alive today. We got to be realistic. The world is a much darker place than it used to be. The enemy is stronger in the world than he was. God hasn't changed we know that, but it's time we start calling it like we see it. I agree with your comment a little, but it was love that cast out demons. Authority is authority. Theres no doubt the Holy Spirit has authority, but perfect love drives out fear. Love covers a multitude of sins.
David Alexis there are a lot of deluded people some well meaning others flat out from the devil capitalizing on fear of ignorant and/or unrepentant people. Jesus freed me from 5 unclean spirits spontaneously about 7 months post born again. Had no idea I had these or what they even were until I deepened in Christ and matured in the Holy Spirit which lead me to repentance. I could feel and hear and at times see these cowards and when the main principality attacked me one night I cried out JESUS without even thinking and He was there in white brilliance and in His glory. Brighter than the sun, power beyond words, I was fixed on Jesus eyes and love was all I can say came from Him. These unclean spirits fled the instant he appeared to me and touched me on my shoulder. One can question my experience and that is fine. But God is the same always and today is no different. Be encouraged. God bless.
100 percent yes! I don’t understand why pastors don’t do this. In 2021 Christians are going to church on Sunday with demons and leaving after service with demons. Isaiah Salvidar pastor has a great UA-cam channel and he travels all around preaching about deliverance and how much we need it to come back into modern churches. The Bible talks a lot about Jesus doing deliverance all the time. Jesus is still in the business of healing and delivering. Thank God.
It happens a lot. Heck there was a big deliverance minister and their whole congregation was bewitched that night during service. It was the craziest thing ever. I wasn’t the only one who felt something really off during the. What a lot of these ministers don’t realize is that there are still a lot of people who don’t get healing and deliverance like the ministers say and some beat into their flocks head. I have not once heard a minister do a roll call as to who got free and who is still in bondage. There is rarely any follow up either. Sorry for the rant but I am still coming out from this deliverance/inner healing non sense that has been a complete nightmare with very little good fruit that lasts.
I believe this is the right way for demons to be cast out, through Christ's power himself. I have seen many testimonies where people who were saved were delivered from all but some such as myself had to be delivered from others. From videos an even in person, but it didn't last long because no matter how much I wanted to follow Christ I'd go back to my sin again an disobey, it wasn't until this week God showed me that i have to be so consumed with his grace an love that i dont even have the desire to do it anymore, not be so afraid that i avoid it but it tortures my mind, that is works through fear an it only leads to torment. Through grace alone, by faith alone, from Christ alone are we saved an that's it, the works come from your fruit not the other way around.

JESUS SAID THAT Fasting and prayer was the way to get this case delivered! In being a DISCIPLE we are automatically drawn into BAPTISM of the holy Spirit with gifts of the spirit to perfect the saints! If we do on our own, without the person being ready for the Messiah to be their Master, then the demon leaves, then returns bringing 7 more vile demons. It is written. Also, there is a curse to the G-o-d name as written in Isaiah 65:11-12. But in the English Scriptures (with influence from the Latin Vulgate), they kept the G-o-d name and they hid the actual curse with benign words. Now in the well-preserved Hebrew Scriptures, they kept the actual curse, as it was given to the prophet Isaiah/YSHGHYaH, warning us not to set a table for G-o-d or a drink offering for M-N-aH (false mighty ones of prosperity and destiny, respectively). Also, all mankind, not just the Jews/Yahudim, are to do the 7 appointed times , as written in Leviticus 23, but no more animal sacrifices, as we are of the order of MLK TSDQ (Righteous King), no longer of the Levitical order of priesthood, following the Final Sacrifice of the Messiah, on Pesach, when He was Crucified, then Resurrected. One question I am starting to ask is why are our church leaders not casting out demons and why are they not healing people? I just recently asked the Holy Spirit what is the difference between the church in Paul’s time and the church today. He gave me this answer, because today’s church has a form of godliness, but deny its power. Jesus told his disciples they lacked the faith they need to drive out demons. In order to drive out we need to have faith as small as a mustard seed. So why is it that our leaders are not healing the sick in church? Why are we not seeing demons being driven out? The church today has probably a lot of explaining to do.
Jesus said that in His name we will cast of demon, heal the sick, and a list of other gifts. Casting out demons comes first, so this must be most important and common. When the Word of God is spoken, demons flee from the situation and the people involved. Sin is demonic, and the Word cast out sin from other and even me, if I speak God's Word.
Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better. No!!! I have personal experience with dealing with this issue. 2Peter 2: 10&11 These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling. But the angels, who are far greater in power and strength, do not dare to bring from the Lord a charge of blasphemy against those supernatural beings. 1 Corinthians 12 Spiritual Gifts only mentions Healing and not Exercising or deliverance from evil spirits. Galatians 5:12 Those who are trying to force you to be circumcise want to look good to others. They don't want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Chist alone can save.
Actually, tho yes we do need to love people. The demonic do not leave through love. If they are not cast out, they remain in a person, until an appropriate time to manifest again. I am part of a front-lines effort that ministers to many people that society and even churches have ether discarded or simply don't have a clue on how to help. Since 2000 I have experienced how rare the gifts of discernment are in that I have constantly witnessed the christian community's misinterpret various symptoms related to drug abuse, sleep deprivation or insomnia, and most importantly schizophrenia. Other illnesses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)and Turrets Syndrome are also commonly misunderstood. The sad thing is that most Christians couldn't explain the difference between possession or oppression let alone any other indication of the human state of being. I believe it to be a travesty to the ministry of the gospel as well as unloving to vilify a person by trying to exorcise a demon from a person obviously suffering from some other milady. 1 John clearly show how the Holy Spirit provides insight to our observations that we may critically filter them through the power of the gospel that the correct biblical treatment may be applied by a Spiritually Mature believer (Gal. 6).
Most, if not all, of the issues you mentioned are demons. You calling these things "maladies" is offensive and dangerous. Those of us God empowers can see or sense the evil; God enables us to do so. Sometimes He causes the demons to act up so we recognize they are present. Sometimes we call them by name as we cast them out. Some people are sons of perdition: children of the devil, and there is nothing for us to do; God is able to pour out mercy on even the worst. Ask. Don't label these conditions as disorders or maladies because they are not. Even if they were, God is bigger and one touch of Almighty God and these things are corrected. These conditions can easily be dealt with, some sooner than others, as no demon leaves unless God says so. God has His ways and His ways are right. And don't forget about the devil's children, they masquerade as workers of light. Clearly this is not your area of gifting. Do no harm and stop judging the body of Christ by what you know, because this is not your area of expertise, at least, not yet. That's a bad paraphrase, though, because it says that we are to speak gently and with love to our opponents who, in this passage, are referred to as false teachers. This doesn't have anything to do with unbelievers of which we are called to minister in a different way already designated in scripture previous to Timothy, but this is for people we disagree with.

Are there any resources for pastors dealing with high levels of demonic oppression? Maybe even a history of deliverances. Or how the church in the recent times has dealt with it. Ephesians 6 yes. 2 Timothy 2 absolutely. But it would be encouraging to hear the history of God's deliverance as he has delivered some in the local area around me. I am music minister and have seen a great number of young girls and boys under possession.

Under your approach, I can ignore every word, teaching, parable and command of Jesus because I was not there as a listener. In fact most of the Bible is no longer personally relevant as by this new standard, the only ones responsible for biblical mandate are the ones who were present and listening? Does this apply to the promises of God too? More curious: what then happened when I have cast demon's out of tortured, possessed people, both here and internationally? What really happened when I laid hands on people and they were healed? Was it my sin that I laid hands on the open sores lepers in multiple colonies in India? simple paradigm: before the universe existed it did not exist, thus, something outside of the known universe "in effect caused" the universe into existence, right? obviously yes. now if something outside of "time/space/matter/energy " created "time/space/matter/energy" then that something must be outside of the parameters of any rules that apply to "time/space/matter/energy" right? yes obviously. then that something must be more powerful than all of the universe combined, right? yes, thus God.

The teaching is good, the emphasis is wanting. At 1.47 'the normal way'. To make a singular textual reference (2Tim2.26) the normal way when the multiple Gospel injunctions and the example of Acts indicate clearly that exorcisms are the 'normal way' is to set experience above the text. Yes, people in the west may not 'normally' exorcise demons. But that doesn't make it the normal Biblical position.

We all sin, if you are proposing that everybody who sins is "demon possessed" then you are mistaken. I believe that almost all of modern culture is influenced by that evil one, but the power of the Creator goes far beyond all.
John Piper is great and while this is a good message for being patient with non believers and helping to show them the Truth trough love, it has nothing to do with casting out demons which is a very real thing Jesus did, gave us the authority to do and even said that some will come to Him after casting them out and He will still reject them (Matthew 7:22). Scrolled down to the comments section to find soooo many others knowing and believing the same thing. I respect Pastor John a lot but think he missed the boat on this one.
The bible isn't divisive or opinion based. It doesn't report anywhere that "there is a special occasion" and no where does it state exorcism. Mark 16:17 says "17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;" Jesus cast out demons on a regular basis and was part of his ministry.

Actually, a comforting thought to me is that we all know what death is going to be like, because every single one of us, regardless of which belief or non-belief we follow, has already experienced it. most, don't even realise it and, I would wager, of those who have, haven't given it a second thought since it happened. Think about it and you'll recognise that you too have already experienced it. Personally, I find that thought far more comforting that an eternity in Heaven.

God said the righteous shall live by faith.-Romans 1:17 "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." I have had 2 experiences with this. And I agree somewhat in what John said. But you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And a ways is seen by Jesus and how some disciples couldn't cast out some demons in one instance. So everything that John says applies and also being filled with the Holy Spirit. Rebuke the demon in the name of Jesus Christ. Also in my two experiences God gave me and some other people the strenght and the words to say. Cause I used to be scare of these things.

Jesus gave life to our spirit by Holy Spirit, but we need to renew our minds according to God's words and sanctify/keep our bodies pure. You’d be surprised that even Charismatic churches are reluctant to come to a person’s house to cast a demon out. My church leader refused to come and said it was just “stress” that is causing the manifestation in one of my family member.
I had to cast it out on my own. I was a new believer, but my gosh, I saw for myself that the Name of Jesus WORKS! I was quite irritated that the leader didn’t come, but in some ways I was also glad that I got to see the results for myself. My faith grew.

When you have demon possession then the demon has to be cast out. This is rare in my experience. You are mostly going to be dealing with people who are demonically influenced rather than possessed. In this case you need long suffering., forgiveness, forbearance and love.

Jesus did say "on earth as it is in heaven".. which strikes me.. and is something that humanity has not been able to reach to the fullest, yet... but the more we seek God and praise Him, the more we become like Him
2 Timothy 2 was in context of souls being saved from the blinding of the devil, not deliverence from demons. There is no passage in scripture that shows Christ or an apostle "teaching" or "loving" a demon out. The answer should have been simple. Yes. When a demon manifests, cast it out.
He did say the "ordinary way of bringing people *out of the clutches of the Devil* is described" in 2 Timothy 2, and that this passage describes "the normal way that Timothy is being told to free people from *the will and the bondage of the Devil*."

I think spiritual gifts people claim to have are bogus these days. Tongues, demonic demolishing through commands, and others we saw in scripture aren't really alive today. We got to be realistic. The world is a much darker place than it used to be. The enemy is stronger in the world than he was. God hasn't changed we know that, but it's time we start calling it like we see it. I agree with your comment a little, but it was love that cast out demons. Authority is authority. Theres no doubt the Holy Spirit has authority, but perfect love drives out fear. Love covers a multitude of sins.
David Alexis there are a lot of deluded people some well meaning others flat out from the devil capitalizing on fear of ignorant and/or unrepentant people.
Jesus freed me from 5 unclean spirits spontaneously about 7 months post born again. Had no idea I had these or what they even were until I deepened in Christ and matured in the Holy Spirit which lead me to repentance. I could feel and hear and at times see these cowards and when the main principality attacked me one night I cried out JESUS without even thinking and He was there in white brilliance and in His glory. Brighter than the sun, power beyond words, I was fixed on Jesus eyes and love was all I can say came from Him. These unclean spirits fled the instant he appeared to me and touched me on my shoulder.
One can question my experience and that is fine. But God is the same always and today is no different. Be encouraged. God bless.

100 percent yes! I don’t understand why pastors don’t do this. In 2021 Christians are going to church on Sunday with demons and leaving after service with demons. Isaiah Salvidar pastor has a great UA-cam channel and he travels all around preaching about deliverance and how much we need it to come back into modern churches. The Bible talks a lot about Jesus doing deliverance all the time. Jesus is still in the business of healing and delivering. Thank God.

It happens a lot. Heck there was a big deliverance minister and their whole congregation was bewitched that night during service. It was the craziest thing ever. I wasn’t the only one who felt something really off during the. What a lot of these ministers don’t realize is that there are still a lot of people who don’t get healing and deliverance like the ministers say and some beat into their flocks head. I have not once heard a minister do a roll call as to who got free and who is still in bondage. There is rarely any follow up either. Sorry for the rant but I am still coming out from this deliverance/inner healing non sense that has been a complete nightmare with very little good fruit that lasts.
I believe this is the right way for demons to be cast out, through Christ's power himself. I have seen many testimonies where people who were saved were delivered from all but some such as myself had to be delivered from others. From videos an even in person, but it didn't last long because no matter how much I wanted to follow Christ I'd go back to my sin again an disobey, it wasn't until this week God showed me that i have to be so consumed with his grace an love that i dont even have the desire to do it anymore, not be so afraid that i avoid it but it tortures my mind, that is works through fear an it only leads to torment. Through grace alone, by faith alone, from Christ alone are we saved an that's it, the works come from your fruit not the other way around.

JESUS SAID THAT Fasting and prayer was the way to get this case delivered! If we do on our own, without the person being ready for the Messiah to be their Master, then the demon leaves, then returns bringing 7 more vile demons. It is written. Also, there is a curse to the G-o-d name as written in Isaiah 65:11-12. But in the English Scriptures (with influence from the Latin Vulgate), they kept the G-o-d name and they hid the actual curse with benign words. Now in the well-preserved Hebrew Scriptures, they kept the actual curse, as it was given to the prophet Isaiah/YSHGHYaH, warning us not to set a table for G-o-d or a drink offering for M-N-aH (false mighty ones of prosperity and destiny, respectively). One question I am starting to ask is why are our church leaders not casting out demons and why are they not healing people? I just recently asked the Holy Spirit what is the difference between the church in Paul’s time and the church today. He gave me this answer, because today’s church has a form of godliness, but deny its power.
Jesus told his disciples they lacked the faith they need to drive out demons. In order to drive out we need to have faith as small as a mustard seed. So why is it that our leaders are not healing the sick in church? Why are we not seeing demons being driven out? The church today has probably a lot of explaining to do.
Jesus said that in His name we will cast of demon, heal the sick, and a list of other gifts. Casting out demons comes first, so this must be most important and common. When the Word of God is spoken, demons flee from the situation and the people involved. Sin is demonic, and the Word cast out sin from other and even me, if I speak God's Word.

Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.
And addressing/thanking the CREATOR, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea 😊

No!!! I have personal experience with dealing with this issue. 2Peter 2: 10&11 These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling. But the angels, who are far greater in power and strength, do not dare to bring from the Lord a charge of blasphemy against those supernatural beings.
1 Corinthians 12 Spiritual Gifts only mentions Healing and not Exercising or deliverance from evil spirits.
Galatians 5:12 Those who are trying to force you to be circumcise want to look good to others. They don't want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Chist alone can save.
Actually, tho yes we do need to love people. The demonic do not leave through love. If they are not cast out, they remain in a person, until an appropriate time to manifest again. I am part of a front-lines effort that ministers to many people that society and even churches have ether discarded or simply don't have a clue on how to help. Since 2000 I have experienced how rare the gifts of discernment are in that I have constantly witnessed the christian community's misinterpret various symptoms related to drug abuse, sleep deprivation or insomnia, and most importantly schizophrenia. Other illnesses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)and Turrets Syndrome are also commonly misunderstood.
The sad thing is that most Christians couldn't explain the difference between possession or oppression let alone any other indication of the human state of being. I believe it to be a travesty to the ministry of the gospel as well as unloving to vilify a person by trying to exorcise a demon from a person obviously suffering from some other milady. 1 John clearly show how the Holy Spirit provides insight to our observations that we may critically filter them through the power of the gospel that the correct biblical treatment may be applied by a Spiritually Mature believer (Gal. 6).
Most, if not all, of the issues you mentioned are demons. You calling these things "maladies" is offensive and dangerous. Those of us God empowers can see or sense the evil; God enables us to do so. Sometimes He causes the demons to act up so we recognize they are present. Sometimes we call them by name as we cast them out. Some people are sons of perdition: children of the devil, and there is nothing for us to do; God is able to pour out mercy on even the worst. Ask.
Don't label these conditions as disorders or maladies because they are not. Even if they were, God is bigger and one touch of Almighty God and these things are corrected. These conditions can easily be dealt with, some sooner than others, as no demon leaves unless God says so. God has His ways and His ways are right. And don't forget about the devil's children, they masquerade as workers of light.
Clearly this is not your area of gifting. Do no harm and stop judging the body of Christ by what you know, because this is not your area of expertise, at least, not yet.
Some of us are gifted and used in this area for God's glory.

Are there any resources for pastors dealing with high levels of demonic oppression? Maybe even a history of deliverances. Or how the church in the recent times has dealt with it. Ephesians 6 yes. 2 Timothy 2 absolutely. But it would be encouraging to hear the history of God's deliverance as he has delivered some in the local area around me. I am music minister and have seen a great number of young girls and boys under possession.

Under your approach, I can ignore every word, teaching, parable and command of Jesus because I was not there as a listener. In fact most of the Bible is no longer personally relevant as by this new standard, the only ones responsible for biblical mandate are the ones who were present and listening? Does this apply to the promises of God too? More curious: what then happened when I have cast demon's out of tortured, possessed people, both here and internationally? What really happened when I laid hands on people and they were healed? Was it my sin that I laid hands on the open sores lepers in multiple colonies in India? simple paradigm: before the universe existed it did not exist, thus, something outside of the known universe "in effect caused" the universe into existence, right? obviously yes. now if something outside of "time/space/matter/energy " created "time/space/matter/energy" then that something must be outside of the parameters of any rules that apply to "time/space/matter/energy" right? yes obviously. then that something must be more powerful than all of the universe combined, right? yes, thus God.

Those are most often overexaggerated; 1 The unclean spirit is oppressing the individual who it's in, and not you. 2, once you see the person needs help with getting rid of it, it becomes more of, "boy how can I help them or get them to help?" Rather than being fearful.

The teaching is good, the emphasis is wanting. At 1.47 'the normal way'. To make a singular textual reference (2Tim2.26) the normal way when the multiple Gospel injunctions and the example of Acts indicate clearly that exorcisms are the 'normal way' is to set experience above the text. Yes, people in the west may not 'normally' exorcise demons. But that doesn't make it the normal Biblical position.

We all sin, if you are proposing that everybody who sins is "demon possessed" then you are mistaken. I believe that almost all of modern culture is influenced by that evil one, but the power of the Creator goes far beyond all.
It happened this past weekend at a church. She was brought to the back in a separate room and the girl didn't get up after about an hour !!
John Piper is great and while this is a good message for being patient with non believers and helping to show them the Truth trough love, it has nothing to do with casting out demons which is a very real thing Jesus did, gave us the authority to do and even said that some will come to Him after casting them out and He will still reject them (Matthew 7:22). Scrolled down to the comments section to find soooo many others knowing and believing the same thing. I respect Pastor John a lot but think he missed the boat on this one.
The bible isn't divisive or opinion based. It doesn't report anywhere that "there is a special occasion" and no where does it state exorcism. Mark 16:17 says "17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;" Jesus cast out demons on a regular basis and was part of his ministry.

And I've seen too many Christians demon "possessed" to deny it. Like I said, we are three parts, Body, Soul and Spirit. God gave life to my spirit, where the Holy Spirit dwells, and where I am sealed. My Body (flesh) and Soul (mind) is in daily renewing and sanctification. My flesh invites sin, and sin opens the door to demons.
The normal and biblical way is to cast it out with the power of Holy Spirit alone. Not our power but power of the Holy Spirit..

I have had 2 experiences with this. And I agree somewhat in what John said. But you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And a ways is seen by Jesus and how some disciples couldn't cast out some demons in one instance. So everything that John says applies and also being filled with the Holy Spirit. Rebuke the demon in the name of Jesus Christ. Also in my two experiences God gave me and some other people the strenght and the words to say. Cause I used to be scare of these things.

Jesus gave life to our spirit by Holy Spirit, but we need to renew our minds according to God's words and sanctify/keep our bodies pure. I believe demons can dwell in a Christian's body or mind, but not the spirit. We need to take every thought captive, & keep our bodies pure. Holy spirit abides in our spirit, we need to surrender our minds and body as well.
