2025 Ram 1500 RHO is HERE! Big Performance for Nearly $10K LESS Than a Raptor in the US!

- Ram has arrived on the market with the brand new RHO, an off-road pickup truck targeted straight at the Ford Raptor.
With a US price tage of $69,995 before delivery charges, the new RHO manages to undercut the Raptor by about $10,000.

I own a TRX. The new RHO 0-60 rivals the TRX 0-60 on paper! Inverter is definitely a plus. The engine roar and super charger whine on the TRX sound is unmatched in my opinion. Thx u for the review - awesome truck!
Yep agreed. Nothing will match the v8 but this is still not a bad truck especially at the starting price
Just a few minutes into the video and I'm already disgusted that the price difference between the Warlock and the Rebel X is a whopping $18k!!!!! Really???!!!
So Ram took a page out of Fords book and made a 6cyl Raptor.
Then Ford realized their mistake and went back and put the V8 back in.
@@navystalker3083
Yes, exactly!
They got it!
NOTHING is better than the V8!!!
@navystalker3083 ford still has a v6 raptor and still sells it. The v8 raptor is over 100k and is very limited so not sure there really pussing yhe v8 in the raptor
@@danielrichter3826the v8 is over 100k ford still produces the trubi v6 for the raptor
Line 6 even better
When converting $70,000 USD to CND, it it’s about $95,500. Why in the world is Ram charging us $113,000 CND for the RHO in Canada?!
Because us, Canadians allowed everyone to ripp us from left and right all the time
Especially dealers and politicians
because they can…
@@TruckKingI hope they all rot. These prices are getting nuts, watched your video on Tacoma trail hunter and pro. I hope they can’t sell the things. Time will tell.
Plus the luxury tax in Canada, plus GST/HST
They can, but it becomes harder to justify as either a business owner or personally. Dodge/Ram used to be a bit more value oriented than the competition, and we always had a couple single cab long box trucks in the fleet, as well as my personal higher end truck, usually changed before 100km. The fleet has changed to GM slowly in the last 2 years, with my Ram possibly the last one.
Actually kinda excited. For under 70k I’d definitely wanna take it for a drive and check it out
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. 70k plus like another like 40k on top for dealer markup
@@oscara.9265 well I won’t put up with any of that nonsense. They’re already having trouble moving stuff so I’d hope they would smarten up.
I would've liked to see a barebones cloth seats for under 60.
Guess too much to ask now that midsized are up into 60s
lol you mean for under 70k a dealer would potentially let you test drive it 😂 I’m kidding ..
I like that prices are starting to come down. :)
Because it's 1: Not a V8 anymore and 2: it's still a Stellantis product that's also a Dodge
@@oscara.9265watch the dodge comment 💁♀️
Looking good, but the Warlock is 70K CAD, damn that's expensive. That's too much up here.
So the RHO is a few hundred dollars less than the rebel x in the us but $24,000 more in Canada??
And since when was $70,000 not breaking the bank?
I'm really beginning to hate new vehicles
Amen!!!!!!
Since Covid lol
RHO selling cheaper than that Rebel X???
I saw that. Don’t believe it.
Dealers will mark it up..even though Ram isn’t selling
the price is insane
You mean 26k less?
Wait... What? The Rebel X is starting at $70,185 USD and the RHO is at $69,995 USD?????????
The only think I can think of is the Rebel X is much like the Jeep Gladiator Mojave X and Rubicon X - fully loaded trucks really nothing else you need to option in - and the RHO still has a lot of options you would want and will probably sticker closer to 80k.
It will be a rare find to get that trim without any options so I suspect any that you do find, unless ordered directly, will be more expensive
I'm going to guess manufacture price adjustment for dealer markups...
@@bradjohnson5323 He said the RHO has one option available for it and that is it. It's a luxury package. Probably not worth it.
Yes, but good luck getting a base RHO and especially one with no markup
Wow, they have a traditional shifter in this one??? I had my mind set on the Ford F-150 Platinum, but this new refresh is making me lean towards RAM now. Decisions, decisions.
Ram because of a traditional shifter? Haha. Enjoy the other issues that come with a Ram….
@@pajamatime5750 I've had Dodge products before and just had regular maintenance done and they lasted a long time. And yes, a traditional shifter might not be important to you, but it's important to me. That's what makes freedom so great. You like what you like and I like what I like.
@@jjpark1989 I agree with you on the shifter thing. Hell, my F150 had to come with one. I’m just saying the issues Rams have would be far worse than a Ford with a non traditional shifter. I recently got a 2023 Ram for work and it’s been in the shop more timed than I can count with 11,000kms on it. Bumpers are even starting to rust and the paints bubbling in a couple spots. I’ve seen their quality first hand. I’m glad you can pick what you want in a truck and it’s non of my business but with Ram, the quality just isn’t there I don’t believe. Whatever you end up buying I wish you luck though! Hope it’s a good truck for you.
@@pajamatime5750 I really do appreciate you trying to warn me and I’m sorry that you had such a poor experience! I’m definitely going to have to lay on the bed that I make and hopefully that won’t have to be on the bed of the truck because I went broke from fixing it so much 😅. Better luck to the both of us then!
I had a 5th gen 2019 ram Laramie for 5 years. Just upgraded.
The 2019 ram is still ahead of the ford and GM in quite a few areas. Ride quality and driving experience being the biggest
Inline 6 cylinder is the smoothest and best engine design for reliability and durability. That’s why the big Diesel engines are built that way.
So is this inline 6 diesel like Chevys 3.0??
No, I want a Hemi V8.
@@Sub-Zero-392You can still get a Hemi in a 2024. There are still new 2024s you can get and some good used Rams.
I know these are two different segments, but the pricing on the new tacoma trd pro seems even more ridiculous when compared to this RHO. and I though it was ridiculous comapred to the ranger raptor :D
In Canada we have lower income, higher taxes and higher housing costs but the car companies charge far more instead of less in Canada - that's crazy! Toyota and RAM should rethink their Canadian pricing
Speak to your government about your taxes. Pays for your free medical
Great video Steve! The US -Canada price difference for the RHO is crazy!
At the current exchange rate that truck would be $96K in CDN... Are import fees that much more in Canada now that they have to charge an extra $17K or Stellantis thinks the CDN currency is not going to hold its value much longer?
I love this RHO trim...Very Nice
Nice trucks. The RHO at $113k CAD is still halo truck pricing for Canada. I bet it’ll be a riot to drive.
Since they didn't just call it the 2025 TRX, I'm feeling confident there is an all-new TRX coming and it will probably not be hurricane powered.
It will be electric with 1000hp.
Looks great .
You mean "looks the same as the previous one's"😂
You didn't tell us what engine comes with the Warlock, V6? Other? Assuming Rebel X gets base Hurricane engine? Also, please tell us more about the H.O. Hurricane engine. I had heard it requires premium gas. Can you run it on regular or mid-grade? Thanks for all of your videos!👍
Warlock comes standard with the 3.6L V6 w/eTorque (305 hp, 271 lb-ft) and is available with the 3.0L Hurricane.
Rebel comes standard with the base 3.0L Hurricane (420 hp, 469 lb-ft).
On the spec sheet, the base Hurricane says premium fuel "recommended," while the high-output version lists premium as "required."
There's a good Edmunds article with more details on running the Hurricane on regular gas: www.edmunds.com/car-news/hurricane-engine-interview.html
I like that Dodge is staying in the high performance game!
I think RAM is heading in the right place with pricing
Can’t wait to have one of these tailgate me on the freeway every day
Hammer the brakes on. Works great!!!!!
GTFO of the left lane
Can't or can?
AC 120V power outlets outputting 2kW is more like it, a lot better than the old 400W limit. Good job on upgrading the inverter (and battery and alternator?)
Excellent Episode 😄
Love this truck! Probably will be just as fun while being more efficient. I think I might just get it when it comes out.
They all look great, hats off to Ram
Cool video 👍
Great video! Truck isn't worth it tho.
What's up front? Locker? Limited slip?
Open front differential.
I wanna see tuning i bet ethanol and intercooler and exhaust 800hp
Those are some damn nice wheels for being OEM!
Itll be the same price if not more than the raptor once dealers mark it up 25k because its new and "high demand"
Im so glad still looks like a TRX.
...but it's not!🤣🤣🤣
I never said it was. Can you read
Is there a recall discount included with the top package?
Im glad they went back to straight six.just offer engine options.old jeep 4.0 straight 6 was sweet.still need to have the hemi as an option.
Great model the rho. A slightly lesser trx with a lesser price tag. Ram responds to inflation. Unfortunately, way more than I'm willing to ever spend
Wish Trucks were just trucks again. Simple & cheap.
That ship has sailed.
RHO is very nice. Congrat's on a RAM success. This and the new Ranger Raptor are my favorite new trucks.
RAM needs to make a Dakota RHO mid-size truck!
I like it. You didn't mention a rear locker. Does it have that feature? If so, how is it enabled - through a button on the console or through the touch screen? Does it have a built-in break controller?
No Hellcat V8?! Ruh-RHO!!!
Its a awesome looking truck but starting at 70k yeah sure with Mark up price is probably 90-100k and the warlock all most 60k for a work truck with a level kit and off-road tires 😂 the prices of this market is insane even the little mid size trucks are 50k
Andre at TFL said that Ram told him that they are going to make as many Ram RHO's as are ordered and not a small very limited number of them being manufactured creating insane markups, time will tell if that is true.
"Don't want to break the bank"... umm it's still $70,000
Am I that poor that I think $70,000 for that truck is insane?
I’m keeping my 6.2 litre supercharged hellcat TRX for many years !
I aloud like to know if RHO has a support from an electric motor, to cover the space of charge of each turbos.
A nice looking truck.
Ill wait till the bank has a bunch of them reposesed and ill bid cheap on one.
I’m buying one. 🙌🏼
Que bella esa Camioneta 😍 RAM. es. RAM
Yay, another $100k pickup with everything you want but NO V8....
all of the details? what's the suspension travel numbers?
1/4"
Travel is 13-inches in the front, 14--inches in the rear.
If ram had a brain they'd have a 4xe on this 3.0, getting it up towards that trx power. Imagine another 160hp out of an electric motor and all the extra torque.
Tho doing that would add weight in the process. Think they'd rather make it less complicated on where their putting that battery just to have more power and unnecessary weight to the truck when they more than likely can just tune it for that power tbh.
But still no Dakota 🙁
THAT’S WHAT I’ve been WAITING FOR 😒
The Warlock sounds like a Custom Trail Boss competitor, but with a lower lift and higher starting price.
So it’s a 90k TRX with market adjustment 105k. Great 👍
Love it
Can you please do a more in depth review on the REBEL X please
A TRX that you don't have to leave plugged into a gas pump overnight. Nice!
Really nice truck. Just don't understand why in Canada we're paying so much more for it.
Very handsome. Pretty nice truck too.
Which fuel spec is it running on?
91 Octane - Premium.
Ajajajajaja the raptor king of off road period
Ew why is your laugh like that??
The Ram TRX sorry RHO is still a awesome truck even with the V6 engine, just looks BADASS!! And hey it weighs 180 pounds less and is 10 Grand cheaper. I’ll take it
At that price they should have called it the RKO.
🔥🔥🔥
RHO = Reduced Horsepower Option
What nonsense.
An absolute disappointment.
This measure can never replace the TRX and a V8!!
The Hemi V8 has to come back!!!
Ram just killed toyoturd trd pro sale 🤣
There all nice but the price 😳
Not bad but still miss the Hemi
I wonder if these new engines will make their way into the Jeeps eventually.
Yes sir. It’s coming down the pike.
Even if you saw the price drop 50% it would still be to expensive
Why can't we just leave the shifter on the steering column?
I6 is better than the Raptor V6 for sure. Price is not bad…..Also lighter than TRX with better truck numbers (towing/payload)…..Pretty sweet actually.
I need to be the first to come to market with a matching font prefix decal to add to the bed... "Ruh-"
Ruh-
In a Scooby-Doo voice over- LOL
@@jamesporter7979 there fixed
The New Ram RHO with 540hp at 70k just completely ruined the day for all of the US Ford Stealerships who are adding 10k to 25k markups on the New Ranger Raptor. Likewise, Toyota is in the same boat with the New 65k Tacoma TRD Pro.
Still shocked on a 112000$ Canadian truck that’s suppose to be built for off road that they don’t come with a front locker and only a rear locker , same with the ford raptor like what the heck! Why no front locker , event if was a low speed front locker that disengaged at certain speed , would still be a nice offroad option ! Blown away at the lack of front locker on such bragged up offroad machines ,
Boooooo! Booooooo! Boooooo!
Also, thanks for the great breakdown. You guys are awesome. Ram, not so much… should’ve bought a TRX before Ram cowered in fear of government regulators.
RHO would be pretty good at about 50k. But 70k for a truck with a 6 cylinder is pretty rough
Tell that to Toyota 😂
@@dusty0924 No kidding 😂
What planet do you people live in? The normal Raptor goes for $10K more than this and has a less powerful V6. The new Tacoma TRD Pro, a midsize truck with a 4 cylinder, is $65K USD. I get it. Prices are expensive. But the pricing for the RHO is actually very aggressive for its horsepower and off-road capability.
@@PeakDecline well I guess we can all thank you for helping the manufacturers get away with these ridiculous prices all around 👏🏼 what planet do you live on that any of these vehicle prices are okay???? Aggressive 🤣 that’s definitely one way of putting the whole automobile market.
@@dusty0924 Unless you think I control the value of the USD then you're barking up the wrong tree. The truck, relative to everything else comparable on the market, has a reasonable price. But go on, by all means, yell at the sky about the price.
RAM came out swinging with the TRX and hit a home run. But Ford made an v6 Raptor Exclusively for over a decade and then now when ram introduces one you bash them. Damn people are never happy. Grow up. Besides I’d take a straight six over a v6 any day.
I have and have owned a lot of Ram trucks including a TRX and a Cummins powered 2500 that I own now. None of this 6 banger stuff is interesting me as a TRX customer at all.
Ram better get to figuring out how to put a V8 back in these trucks or it will not be making it on my future shopping list.
I will say an ZF 8 speed behind a Cummins that has been rumored for 2025 HDs is sparking my interest.
Half ton I6 turbos gas are not interesting me at all.
Did you see Andre there?
Just missed him on this one!
@@TruckKing great channel!
I'll stick with my frontier pro 4x.
Canada is smoking dope
Pass
So we going to pretend like $10k less than a Raptor actually means something, like dealer markup doesn’t exist.
Being the trx is over one hundred thousand ten thousand is not enough
Yay 33 inch tires lol and duratrac hard rough loud tires
SHOULD BE CRIMINAL FOR ANY PICKUP TRUCK TO BE MANUFACTURED WITHOUT A V8 AS A MINIMUM
These car manufacturers have lost their damn minds with these stupid prices
Is not replacing the trx ..... this is a new trim 30 k chipper than a trx.
2:13 the swirls in the paint disgusts me. 😂😂
Like all vehicles from Stellantis! They're all over priced! So for that reason, they can sit on the lots with the Unsold EV's! WTF with the exchange rate from US to Cdn that RHO should only be 95k Canadian! What 's extra 18k Cdn for! The CEO of Stellantis bank account!
I'll take a f150
Awesome truck, still too much money.
Without breaking the bank, You serious? Stellantis and all other dealers are so out of touch now. These prices are ludacris and have no reason why they are getting more expensive
Another truck made for the rich and elite ! Does Stallantis realize that only 2% are rich enough to buy these things ?
I like it,but dont discontinue the trx have both
