Classic rock titans Led Zeppelin didn’t do anything by half. When they played, they played like it was the last show of their lives. When they partied, they partied like booze and wild women were going out of style.
So naturally, when it came time to travel, Led Zeppelin travelled in the lap of luxury - their very own private plane: "The Starship".

It'll always be Led Zeppelin's plane for me.
I know this video is about the "70's crazy rock star party" life, but credit goes to Peter Grant for his (entertainment/performing) business acumen. This way, he could arrange for a week or two in the same hotel in a big city that served as a "hub" (Chicago, etc...), getting a smattering of routine into life on the road. Then they would take The Starship from the hub into the city they were playing, do the gig, get on the Starship and be back "home" a couple hours or so later. Brilliant!!
The Rolling Stones still tour like that to this day. They have a "hub" city/hotel that they fly in and out of to gigs, then, when that area is done, they move to the next on an airliner-sized Bizjet, stay there for the next several gigs, and soforth.
Jagger was just jealous that Led Zep got it first...

@@dondamon4669 Zeppelin was a whole different dimension that the stones wish they were a part of. Stones had maybe 8-10 hit songs while Zeppelin had that in 2-3 of their first albums. Don’t lie to yourself, it isn’t even close, check the numbers. Led Zeppelin will forever be, and was always, the greatest band of all time. 20 million people tried and failed to get tickets to one concert, and that’s after bonham passed.
I bought Neil Preston's 11"x14" book of LZ Portraits at age 14 in 1982 and I can see it in my bookshelf now, in my office at age 54.
You used Wikipedia’s explanation of what happened to this airframe. It was the first B-720 off the line and it was old, but it didn’t have “engine problems” as Wikipedia erroneously claims. It had hydraulic issues, fatigue cracking in the main spar and a huge issue with the jackscrew that controlled the plane’s pitch control elevator which ultimately grounded it. But the JT3C-7 t engines were fine. They were refurbished and used until the 2000’s. Peace!
Sounds like a fellow A & P mechanic? When he said it was grounded for engine troubles, I said to myself WTF?! Engines can be swapped out in a matter of hours. Been working as an AMT for 34 years and still have at least 5 to go before I retire. Rock on Brother! Still, a very cool video! 😎

it's when you saw the incredible manager Peter Grant than you realize that Led Zeppelin can't never be compared to any other Rock band in all history ... their music was from an other dimension for proof just hear " achilles last stand " .

No one said these groupies were innocent. They were still underaged girls, it was still illegal, but I still listen to their music. Musicians are creeps just like the rest of humans, face it. If we cancelled all of them, my vinyl collection would be empty. Get over it.
To be fair…those “baby groupies” went around with fake IDs constantly faking their age also they weren’t as innocent. Yes they are still kids but I’m sure some of these guys probably assumed they were older.
