I knowI that it is not the right way to tell you something but I just wanted to tell you that the weight paint addon dosen't work as intended on Blender 4.0. For exemple if you want to mirror a vertex group in Blender 3.6 you just need to copy it change its suffix and it mirror just fine. But in the 4.0 that didn't work at all even if the mirroring work its just create an empty vertex group without any weight. Hope you'l take some time to answer me. Have a good day.
I cant recreate any issue on blender 4.1 - I removed left group, mirrored the right one - and the missing group on left was created and filled with proper weights. Are you using latest WeightPaintTools 2.2? I'm pretty sure blender 4.0 , 3.6 will work too, since there were no changes in vert groups area in blender api. If u still think this is bug please use my discord for support > discord.gg/cxZDbqH
@@bartoszstyperek6306 What about a mesh that is not totally symmetric? Have you tested that too? In 3.6 using projected mirror work fine but not in 4.1!
@@bobleponge7247 Ok, just tested - and can't find any issue. Just a note : project mirror - works slightly different from 'normal' mirror. With project versions - you have to select the broken side verts - then run 'mirror project' (normal mirror - u select the ok side, and this selection gets mirrored). Still if u can provide blend file, on discord I could make a test.
