- Today on the channel we are taking a look at every single game in the Arcade Game Zone on the Nintendo Switch, a compilation of 40 classic arcade games including 10 parlor games and 30 "faithfully replicated" arcade classics. But how do they play and does Arcade Game Zone deliver on the authentic arcade experience it promises?
It has been pointed out that I called the final game Arkanoid instead of Centipeed, for some reason I've always got it mixed up, no idea why!

A decent little compilation of Arcade Games this one, though a shame that the majority of them are single player only. Let me know if you picked it up though, how you found it, and if you like these kind of mini-game compilations, consider checking out Party Planet 30-in-1 Game Collection - ua-cam.com/video/KZprzTPH5Yg/v-deo.html
Not sure why anyone would pay that price for these games when they could get Arcade Paradise and have the ability to design the actual arcade and a story mode
Heard decent things about Arcade Paradise but haven't played it. Suppose some just want a simple way to play them and dont care for the extra stuff?
Arcade paradise is so good, very addictive
and run a laundromat at the same time
@@bradenmitchell5565I can't stress how much that kept me playing. Something very zen about 4 click laundry
Arcade Paradise is amazing, but its a very different game to this, some stuff on here thats not in Arcade Paradise.
Some people dont want story, they just want to play some games, so different sort of thing really
This game remember me the episode of clarence when him and his friends go to the game room of their city. the colors of that game room are very similar to this so i think i will buy it🤩
Many thanks for your review, espeially presenting every of the 40 Minigames.
The only I haven't on Switch is Abert so 17.49 Euro in sale is too much - have holidays in August and i have one of the programmer tools on switch so I'll program it myself.
You're welcome dude 😁
The first of the three Galaga clones looks more like it's based on Galaxian. It looks like one you'd maybe want to pick up in a sale.
Yes, definitely galaxian was my thought too
You're probably right dude, I only played Galaga so wasnt sure.
Thanks for the review! Can you review Jade order next? It’s a really good puzzle game with a good bit content with multiple hours to be spent. It has a demo and it’s cheap costing $4.50 Canadian dollars
"It really starts to get on your tits" had me rolling! I'm American, never heard that particular turn of phrase before.
Not my type of game, I mostly play RPGs; I'll always give you a watch when I have the time though, its the least I can do in return for the shovel-ware/scam videos.
Haha welcome to great Brittish slang 😄 well I appreciate it dude, glad you find some of my content helpful and informative 😀
Breakout, Impact, Arkanoid, many names for almost the same game. I really liked Arkanoid but my first acquaintance with these types of games was Impact, on Atari ST. It was rather simple but you could design a whole bunch of levels after your own ideas, and that was probably the most fun part. I made hellish levels and tricked my parents into playing them. A kind of sadistic joy to mess around with them like that, because several of my own levels were downright hellish and sometimes impossible to finish. Years later I found another brickbreaker game called Jardinains, with several small garden gnomes (or whatever) popping up on the level. Don't actually remember their role in the game, but it was fun and charming, with hilarious sound effects.
Today I would probably not play such a game again, except if it offered something more, like special skills, a compelling storyline or customizing your pad (or hero).
For that reason, I have my eyes on Wizorb, which I might buy later on. Strikey Sisters also offer a little extra.
I'm glad I watched this I was thinking of buying it but wouldn't bother now there very basic games I would feel cheated at £10 let alone the £25 rrp
The game you called arkonoid at the end is actually centipede clone
Fuck I got mixed up with the script lol, Arkanoid is Breakout, lets Ignore that one and pretend I never said it 😄
@@SwitchStars: I can pretend but I can never forget. 😉😂
This is one of those game where you try to search for a fun coop and after seeing what it is like you click it away immediately
I Love Arcade Game Zone It's Awesome
this would be good for kids as i cant think of many games where the AI is bad and ya actually win a few rounds. i think this may be ok for someone who didnt play these games back in the past but those who did will miss the originals and their more gritty look. its a shame really that there isnt a version where ya can play the original and then the updated version.
i finally completed kingdom two crowns the norak edition the original Kingdom new lands is often on offer but much harder than the sequel.
Yea a decent one for the kids I thought so too. I think the originals will always be the best for most, but there have been some great remakes and remixes over the years, especially with Tetris and Pacman. I havent played Two Crowns, but thats one that looks good to play in coop.
Caterpillar is Centipede, didn't look anything like Arkanoid.
Aye my bad 😂 for some reason I've always had Arkanoid in my head as being Centipede.
Gerald? I thought your name was Luke 😨😮
I have no idea what you're talking about 😆
I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house
I don't know why I call him Gerald
He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse
God, I'm so confused right now... 😅
@@SwitchStars ha ha ha, on the game play of the bowling game, the name of the player was Gerald...... I don't know what retro rambles is banging on about too ☝️
Ahh yea, the game crashed once when I was playing but it doesn't save your name, its a pain to enter it using the stupid arrows they provide so I didnt bother lol
Not really for me as I have so many options for playing the actual original game roms. Sky force is Scramble.
Aye there are plenty of variants out there too on multiple platforms, decent collection though. Cheers for confirming about that game lol

Thanks for confirming Paul 👍
