A few days before Mario Odyssey came out, I had a heart attack (in my mid 20’s due to a random illness), the recovery was rough to say the least. Being on 10+ pills a day and hardly being able to move was insane. Mario Odyssey dropped and even though I had difficulty being able to physically move, I was able to traverse the incredible world of the game and go on an amazing adventure. It kept my head in a good place and that game will forever hold a huge place in my heart. ❤😁 Edit: This happened back in 2017 :)

This is exactly what gaming is really about: fun and YOUR enjoyment, not following internet talk and a truth using every frame and pixel of a game to criticise
I became so disgusted with the excessive scrutinizing of every little thing in a game. I quit paying attention to that stuff and it has made gaming fun again. Sometimes it seems like people spend more time online talking about games than actually playing them.
@@josephbrown9685 actually very true, happens to movies too, if you critic it, all you'll find is flaws because you're just pessimistic enough to look for it.
Agree totally. To me, graphics play no roll in deciding weather I like a game or not. As long as the game is fun and has replayabiity, is enough for me.
I can’t help but 100% agree with your Luigi’s Mansion 3 discussion- I thought it would be mediocre but gave it a shot and am so glad I did- my first Luigi’s Mansion and very funny
The music from Awakening is indeed top notch. I originally started playing the game on my TV but then later when I went back I had my headphones on which made me appreciate it so much more.
Fire Emblem Three Houses. By far my favorite entry into the series. The quality of life and customization elements alone, the ornate cutscenes. It's just such a great game for me, with a lot of replayability trying to play every house with mainly the characters in it.
If it was mostly about training, fights and some story, I'd be okay. Hovewer, when I was considering it nobody told me that it plays a lot like a dating sim. I have really mixed feelings about this game.
Metroid Dread was my surprise 10/10 on the Switch. It was one of those games that kept me engaged, and I often caught myself thinking about how to progress past a difficult area or boss whenever I wasn't playing it randomly throughout the day. Can't recommend it enough. I also really enjoyed Luigi's Mansion 3. After watching this video, I've decided that will be my "holiday replay" this year while I am back visiting family. Thank you for the video!
I love metroid dread but its too short. I bought it at lauch (we didnt even had official nintendo games here in my country, so it was expensive as hell), astarted to play it on friday. I finished it through the weekend, in 2 days. Never played it again.
I loved Dread so much. I need to go back through and try to beat it on hard, I just dislike that getting the 100% bonuses were based on speed running. I don't want to speed run :( Bizarrely I really disliked Luigis Mansion 3, maybe it just wasn't my style of game. I sold it after I beat it, I wanted it out of my collection. BotW I put 10 hours into, felt like I was wondering aimlessly in a game that had completely removed what made Zelda fun, a linear open world where you unlock new areas with items, find new dungeons in unique ways then solve unique puzzles with unique items to finish with a unique boss based on the item. Instead, I was making food and wondering around with no real purpose. I really just don't understand how people liked it. Its cool if you liked Skyrim I guess or Ubisoft open world games, but as a Zelda game? It made no sense.
So good to see someone talking about video games with such positivity and passion. There’s so much negativity out there in the world at the moment. Wars, a dire outlook for the global economy and an energy and environmental crisis, just to name a few issues we’re struggling to grapple with at the moment. Your upbeat and energetic persona is the perfect antidote. Thank you! Please keep working your magic...X 🙏🏻
I couldn’t agree with you more about Luigi’s Mansion 3. I tried playing it as a “why not” game and it turned out to be one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. Fun, challenging, mesmerizing and a complete work of art.
Link's Awakening - one of the greatest titles of all time. Just imagine that they did this on an old 8-bit Game Boy. How much they were able to pack into that in the early 90s is just beyond comprehension. I remember playing it back than and how I called the Nintendo Club hotline to get hint on how to proceed lol. Fantastic memories.
I’m glad they did a switch remake of it bc I never played the original. I know a lot of people weren’t interested because it was a female. But it was my first ever introduction to Zelda and I loved it. It played so smooth. I liked how it was stylized artistically. It was very fun and cute.
I'm with you! The first game I ever played, and I was also a frequent user of the hotline! I enjoyed the remake on the Nintendo switch and loved the graphics and gameplay. Although I can't get on with the BOTW and other games like Skyward sword. Never know where I am, always seem to be facing the wrong way! Maybe it's an age thing😃. I keep hearing rumours that they are planning to remake Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons that in my opinion are the best games ever! So I hope it's true.
@@MrHamncheez *3DS. I don't usually correct people but i thought that was important to correct this before the person got a DS and then realize that A Link Between Worlds is on 3DS and not DS. :)
Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Link's Awakening, and Luigi's Mansion 3 come to mind for me that scream a 10 for me because of how fun they were to play.
completely agree, I finally finished Luigi's Mansion 3 and it was an absolute masterpiece. I think it's still the best looking game on switch honestly.
i have been holding off on links awakening, because i have already played the gameboy color version on my 3ds many times, so I'm wondering if the remake is worth it. I think I have some other games on this list i need to get before Links awakening. Also i have never played skyward sword so the HD version looks like something i should pick up.
Triangle Strategy is in my top 10 favorite games of all time. Phenomenal game. Some people might be put off by how much dialogue it has especially in the first few hours, but it's such a great story and such an amazing, refined tactics RPG, each character being unique.
I know it was not exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, but playing "Gris" on the Switch was amazing! It was the first time playing the game, Gris. The music, game play, graphics and especially the MUSIC was incredible!
@@eriks2962 When I played Gris. I started at the airport waiting for a flight. I also had a three-hour layover at another airport. With headphones and my dislike of travel, I got emersed in the play and especially the soundtrack. I am trying to find a cheap(er) version of the soundtrack on vinyl, but sadly, so is everyone else. Have you played the game, "Journey?"
@@lemaitrethemonk it's very environmental, I can see how that would happen. No I never played Journey, but I heard good things about it. I'll get to it eventually!
Hades is incredible, it's such a polished beautiful and challenging game. Awesome voice acting and music. The characters are what make the game special, I want to learn more about them and that is what kept me playing this game
I just ordered myself a Switch, and honestly, I can't wait. I haven't had a Nintendo console since the N64. I had the Game Boys, the DS, and eventually a 2DS, but the N64 was my last Nintendo "console". I can't wait to play Animal Crossing, the Zeldas, Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Arceus and Violet, Metroid Prime and Dread, Mario Kart, and so many others.
Hi i'm trying to get my significant other into mario maker 2 but all we see are levels that look chaotic as hell. Is there a way to find good fun levels that aren't insane?
Mad respect for mentioning Luigi’s Mansion 3. I think the game is absolutely phenomenal and agree that it’s criminally underrated, to the point almost no one even talks about it. It’s in my top 3 alongside Smash Ultimate and MK8 Deluxe. It’s just that good.
Odyssey is easily a 10/10. The controls, the worlds, and the introduction of cappy made for one of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time. I bought a switch specifically to play that game and it was so worth it! I’m also pumped that I have the first 5 games you mentioned haha, can’t wait to jump into Links Awakening!
I loved the passion for telling your experiences with these games! I really enjoyed this video and you made me feel the same about the most games I have played. Some of them I haven't, unfortunately.
My girlfriend of over a decade bought that for me just before having a massive health problem... I'm in another country, and her family doesn't speak my language so I got very minimal information about what happened... I started the game when she was ok, and finished it with my head spinning about what was going on. She's still not better a year later.. alive but she's not really there anymore.. not totally.. Dread is a good game... A really good game, but I have weird feelings connected to that one.
People sort of just gave it an 8/10 or 9/10 and went on their merry way. I think Johnny is doing a good thing by making it more recognized. It's legitimately one of the best coop games as well, extremely fun.
Thank you for the suggestions brother. I went out and bought links awakening, Breath of the wild and Luigi’s mansion 3 about an hour after watching this video. Great reviews.
@@davealaya I'm playing Three Houses right now. Had it for quite a while but didn't get to it. I found Triangle Strategy second hand while playing... I'm almost done with my second Three Houses playthrough and really kinda want to go again on the third house, and I'm thinking I'm going to need a fourth..... I wish the battle system was a bit more complex. I really liked Vandal Hearts.. terrain really played a factor. Archers could shoot farther from higher up, hitting from behind is deadlier... Three Houses is very fun but the battles are basically just flat and simple. I think Triangle Strategy is next on the list, or maybe I'll do an action game first.. I have Ys IX on the shelf too... But I hope Triangle Strategy has a better battle system. I played the demo but don't totally remember how it worked. Seemed very decent though. I just thought the dialogue was really too much... I want dialogue but I mostly want to fight! Hoping that won't be a problem... I think Octopath is really on the boring side... I put a ton of hours into Octopath and finished with a couple characters. I'd like to finish with all of them but I dread going back into that boring game..... (There's a ton of good stuff in that game but the dialogue and formulaic nature of the game just drag it down so hard). Hope Octopath II will improve that stuff..
Triangle strategy. It’s a lot of dialogue and story, but it is an epic story and it’s part of the game for me as you do have a say in how the story develops. Also, this isn’t an exclusive, but ori and the blind forest - definitive edition and it’s sequel is a 10/10 series for me 100%. Phenomenal design and soundtrack, compelling story told beautifully with few words, and gameplay is fantastic.
Bayonetta 3 Years in the making. Fun, challenging, amazing soundtrack, and so much more. It was worth the wait Kirby and the Forgotten Land Cute, colorful, but also unexpectedly heartfelt, and can be tough. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sometimes a game is beyond words Super Mario Odyssey Just like BotW
Your video about the connection you had with Super Mario Galaxy years ago touched my heart, Johnny, and I think about it to this day. Thanks for another great video-keep inspiring others with that joy and passion, my friend ✌🏻
Triangle Strategy so far is my favorite Switch game. Blew me away. My favorite story in all games I've ever played (and I've played many!), I beat the game 5 times, got all the characters, all the endings, maxed out my party. You gotta have some patience at the beginning because there is a LOT, a L O T of dialogue and world-building, but it's so worth it. The gameplay is similar to classic tactics RPGs, but also quite different - each unit is basically unique and has its own abilities and you really can make wild combinations with other characters, the terrain, spells, etc. The gameplay is phenomenal for people who like strategy RPGs, and the story is so good. Really mature, serious themes, adult problems of diplomacy, politics, sacrifice, failure, racism, I really enjoyed it so much. And the graphics are so beautiful! Top notch pixel art and HD2D
I'm an adult male and haven't played much video games since my late teenage years. Immortals fenyx rising got me hooked for the first time in many years. It's so surprising not many people talk about it. It's extremely underrated for what it is. And I find the graphic way more pleasing than BOTW
Xenoblade is my all-time favorite series, and I would give them all a 10 based on my experience. Of course, they aren't perfect, but again I am rating the experience. I would probably place Torna near the bottom. I do as much side content as I can, but I don't like the way they lock your progression behind it. You used the word "charm" when you talked about Link's Awakening. So let me get my hot take out of the way. I absolutely loved Bravely Default II. It charmed me. I am thrilled so many others have mentioned Astral Chain. I will cast another vote for that amazing game. I would also rate SMT5, Metroid Dread, and BotW as 10s. I am getting Personal 5 Royal for Christmas and all indications are that it will join the others listed here.
online play with and without collision with at least 12 racers on one track with revive or even without revive options would be nuts. Or some Time Trial online like in trackmania with a 10 minute timer and the best time by then wins. I would buy this game even for 200 Euros I swear.
I was surprised not to see YS 8 in the list :o My 10/10 games are Dragon Quest 11, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Atelier Ryza 2, Trials of Mana, Ni No Kuni, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and Hades
Links Awakening on Switch introduced me into the 2d Zelda genre. I didn't think I would love the game as much as I did, but here we are with it being my 2nd favorite Zelda game of all time.
You might need to jump into some other 2D Zeldas then! I'd say another one that has a huge amount of charm while being so good is A Link Between Worlds.
I wouldnt go that far but i do REALLY love it. Playing sparks currently and sadly not as in love with it. That first game though was an easy home run that doesnt get enough love
Playing Kingdom Battle right now, almost done with it and got Sparks of Hope today to get ready to play that. So far it's one of my favorite new mario games ever. The Rabbids are so stupid, that with the Xcom gameplay is just amazingly fun.
Great video! I just got my first switch so these videos are very helpful! Mario Odyssey was so fun, SMT V is great and very big, I just started but am having a blast. Zelda botw Is pretty challenging but a thrill as well. I'm still playing obviously but am trying to visit the shrines to build health so I don't get killed immediately 🤣😱
Honestly, in BOTW I would recommend focusing on stamina first. You can use meals to heal and get bonus hearts, but stamina is extremely beneficial in exploring the world.
I think Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 10/10 for me. The only other exclusives that come close (other than ones mentioned here) are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon Legends Arceus.
This was a fun video! The Switch has turned out to be the little engine that could. It may not be the most powerful system but the games are phenomenal!
Metroid Dread is still a niche game (as are most 2D Metroid games). Even Metroid Prime Remaster is more famous (and arguably put Metroid on the planet for a lot of people who never cared about it before - kinda the same thing Breath of the Wild did). Why do you think the room only gets really loud when Nintendo talks about Metroid Prime 4?
Breath of the Wild for sure. Had enough nods to previous games for the nostalgia. I also never did like longer bigger dungeons, I'd get dungeon fatigue. So I loved the smaller shrines.
Fire emblem three houses is definitely a 10/10 for me. The characters, the story, the art style, the music, the gameplay and customization to your units.
I think 3H is definitely a 10/10. The timing with it being post-GoT and sort of giving an amazing world and story to fill that hole was amazing for me. I also loved the twists in it. Need to break that out again.
Fire emblem three houses was my first fire emblem game and man is it my favorite one it's in my top 5 of nintendo switch games of all time definitely 10/10
I almost thought at the three minute mark he was going to say Astral Chain. great selection the Switch has delivered on great games and lots of them, what a rebound from Wii U. Keep going Nintendo you made me a fan again.
This may sound weird, but I love the Super Nintendo Online for the Switch. It allows to play Super Mario World, Super Punch Out, A Link To The Past, and Donkey Kong Country. I love those games so much and the Switch lets me play them whenever I want!
It's not an exclusive, but I absolutely loved playing through it on the Switch - 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. The story is just absolutely fantastic, even if confusing at times. I also thought I will not like the strategic combat sections, but I ended up loving it. Absolute gem of a game.
It’s so cool to see people love something, put their feelings out there, and be completely genuine about it. I like genuine people. Especially publicly genuine.
Kirby and the forgotten land, wow the sounds track is amazing and I love the addictive gameplay and mouthfull mode is so much fun, Zelda Breath of the Wild for obvious reasons Luigi's mansion 3 for its creativity and variety with all the different floors and enemies. Dragonquest 11, a amazing game, brilliant story full of twists and turns, I also love your party members, Rab, Sylvando and Jade are my favourite.
Completely agree about Links Awakening; I been playing this non stop for the past few days and I'm really enjoying it. It drives you completely insane at times, just like all good Zelda games should, and the puzzles are tough without walkthroughs, but the game play and controls are really smart, it's incredibly charming, and its really satisfying to conplete.
I too have Grandia HD Collection on the Switch. It was my first time playing these games, and I got it because I heard good things about it. Glad I got the physical version from Limited Run games.
Being 54 years old and living in a world with very little technology, no video games and then start to watch everything come into play has been wonderful. To see video games and the internet come in to existence and to see the graphics now, compared to way back. I had a play station for years, but recently got a switch for me and my grand children. I think the Playstation 5 is just ridiculous at an average price of 600 to 800. I'm ordering the Hori steering wheel pro and wall charging mount.
Octopath Traveler captured me and reignited my love for RPGs. 10/10 for me! Honorable mention to Hollow Knight, not exclusive but I played it on Switch and my god that was the best choice of my life.
@@kushsmoker ohhhhh… you replied to my comment about Xenoblade lolol Botw is awesome too. Lots of guides out there. Hopefully you can figure it out, it’s damn good
That is a nice list of games and some of them are my favorites as well. I'm not someone who is able to assign a numerical value to the quality of a game, but here are some of my favorite games on the Switch: SMT V, SMT III: Nocturne HD Remaster, Persona 5 Royal, Phantasy Star, Sega Genesis Classics, Ys VIII, IX, & Origin, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, FEW: Three Hopes, Blasphemous, the Bloodstained games, the Castlevania collections, Metroid Dread, Hollow Knight, Grandia HD Collection, Planescape: Torment, Live-A-Live, Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy, Dark Souls Remastered, Ender Lilies, Astalon, Death's Gambit: Afterlife, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Gain Ground, Herzog Zwei, Langrisser I & II, Breath of the Wild, Link's Awakening, Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Collection of Mana, Baldur's Gate I & II, Darkest Dungeon, Vigil: The Longest Night, Infernax, Bravely Default II, Catherine: Full Body, and Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection.
My wife absolutely loved Luigi's Mansion 3 and Kirby and the forgotten land, and she is a total nongamer, like she's never owned a console, we're both in our mid 30s(I've played video games since my adolescent years) so yeah, if you have a wife like that, get those 2 at the very least.
For those that don't know the difference: Shin Megami Tensei = Uses personas/demons as Pokemon Persona = Uses personas/demons JoJo stands (meaning the character fights with the persona behind them spiritually) Both series are connected in terms of character design and thats about it. Both offer their own amazing experiences. And on that note, I give Persona 5 Royal a 10/10 (it's not a switch exclusive but I have to recommend it)
I totally agree, Luigis Mansion 3, as well received as it was, is still underrated, cos it deserves to be more widely known as a masterpiece. Easy 10/10 for me 👏👏
* Bayonetta 3 (best action game of all time) * Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak (one of best games of all time) * Metroid Dread (best Metroidvania ever made) * DKC Tropical Freeze (best 2D platformer of all time, bar none) * Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope (one of the best strategy games ever made) * Zelda Breath of the Wild (one of the best games of all time) * Super Mario Odyssey (best 3D platformer of all time, bar none) * Triangle Strategy (a flawless grid-based srpg masterpiece) * Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (best cart racer of all time, easily) * Bayonetta 2 (not as good as 3, but I've always regarded it a 10/10) * Splatoon 2 (best competitive shooter ever made- hopefully 3 will surpass it once connection issues are ironed out) . And plenty of 9/10's. Xenoblade Chronicles 1/2/3, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Astral Chain, SMTV, Super Mario 3D World, Luigi's Mansion 3, Kirby Forgotten Land, Smash Bros Ultimate, Zelda Link's Awakening, Pikmin 3, Splatoon 3, etc.
Odyssey was the first game I bought for my Switch and it's still my fave game ever. Platformers are my fave genre and Odyssey is simply a perfect one. I can't find a single flaw. As for the rest of your list, I was really into Link's Awakening aswell but I wish it was longer. It's quite a short game.
Am extremely happy. Finally playing through BOTW for the first time, still have TOTK and also I hadn't had a chance to play either of the remastered Zelda's on their original versions so I'm def. getting both of those too.
Aside from the games you've already mentioned (some of your 9s were 10s for me personally), Metroid Dread, Astral Chain, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3. I want to mention more, but a lot of my other picks might be solid 8s or 9s: Mega Man 11, Octopath Traveler (maybe a bit too grindy...), Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Super Mario 3D Worlds + Bowser's Fury, Eastward. I may flip some of these to personal 10s. :-)
Persona 5 Royal for the switch just came out last month (it's really a 5 year old or 3 year old game), but it should be 10/10. I'm replaying it again and made me remembered why I loved it so much. Yes, I'm a SMT fan as well.
Grandia with the surprise inclusion! You know, a few years back you were the one that made that an instant purchase. I played it on the Sega Saturn back in the day IN JAPANESE. I didn't understand Japanese. So I had a printout of the translation, this stack of papers. What a waste of paper. But it was THAT good. This one got criticized at first, but your enthusiasm got me to get it, and I wasn't disappointed, the second playthrough was maybe even better than the first. Love that music eh?
I love Link's Awakening though thntose small performance issues are enough to lower it to a 9 to me combined with a lack of much additional content. There was so much potential with the dungeon builder at Dampe's shack but it was far too limited. Maybe one day we will get a Zelda maker for classic topdown 2D Zelda games.
I'm gonna say octopath traveler gets the 10 out of 10 treatment. They took a chance bringing a 2d style rpg out in the modern age and it is beautiful. Games like octopath is why I can play rpgs from any Era and stands the test of time. I need to buy the strategy guide that was released not long ago and complete it 100 percent
Great list! Loved seeing Luigi’s Mansion in there. However, I think this needs to be updated to include;- Super Mario Wonder Donkey Kong Country:- Tropical Freeze Metroid Prime/Dread Legend Of Zelda:- Tears Of The Kingdom Then for me I’d add:- Sonic Superstars Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:- Shredders Revenge Hades Honourable Mentions Splatoon 3 Pikmin 3 Kirby And The Forgotten Land
I wasn't masive on super Mario party on the switch, but the Superstars version is right up there for me. Is it a 10? Possibly, they didn't choose my favourite boards over the series, but it's solid and a ton of fun.
Octopath Traveller, The Witcher 3, Luigi Mansion 3, and MK8 are my main Switch jams. Besides that love all the retro content including Capcom Arcade v1 v2.
Yep, it came out a little rough but after some patches it's a great collection(opinions on the filter for G1 aside) I believe it's still on Playasia if you want a physical copy but otherwise it goes on sale for 50% off on the eshop/Steam from time to time. Capcom has been releasing a lot of collections and alot of people have been asking for BoF so I think we'll get one eventually. Hopefully it will include Dragon Quarter even though a lot of people hate it, I liked it myself(however I would agree it was a bad BoF title and should have been a new IP)

@@sugarray1345 LOL! You're a wonderfully hilarious ball of contradiction and hypocracy, my brother. Thanks for the laughs.
I couldn’t agree with you more about Luigi’s Mansion 3. I tried playing it as a “why not” game and it turned out to be one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. Fun, challenging, mesmerizing and a complete work of art.
100%. One of the best games on Switch. My son is hooked and gettin me too. Glad we found it for $5 at a yard sale recently.
@@A2daM2daZ If you enjoyed the switch remake, get ahold of a DS and play Link Between Worlds.

Yes, exactly. After 100%-ing Kirby it's 10/10 for me. Never played Kirby game before and never expected THAT endgame.
@@sidewinder2057 that endgame was wild
i have been holding off on links awakening, because i have already played the gameboy color version on my 3ds many times, so I'm wondering if the remake is worth it. I think I have some other games on this list i need to get before Links awakening. Also i have never played skyward sword so the HD version looks like something i should pick up.
@@sidewinder2057 If you own a 3DS I highly recommend Kirby Planet Robobot, that Kirby game is also amazing
Some titles that I just fell in love with are Astral Chain, Triangle Strategy, Dragon Quest 11, and Octopath Traveler.
Astral Chain was/ is a solid 10
Idk how Astral Chain didn't make this video because he always talks about it like it's one of the best games he's ever played lol
Astral Chain fans, unite!
Triangle Strategy is in my top 10 favorite games of all time. Phenomenal game. Some people might be put off by how much dialogue it has especially in the first few hours, but it's such a great story and such an amazing, refined tactics RPG, each character being unique.
Agree with DQ11 and only DQ11
I know it was not exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, but playing "Gris" on the Switch was amazing! It was the first time playing the game, Gris. The music, game play, graphics and especially the MUSIC was incredible!
Beautiful game. I think about that game a lot
I am playing gris right now. I can see why people like it. But it's a bit too quiet for me. I'll probably still finish it at some point though.
@@eriks2962 Sadly, Journey is only on PlayStation and PC, but hopefully Limited Run Games will release it on the Switch.
Hades is incredible, it's such a polished beautiful and challenging game. Awesome voice acting and music. The characters are what make the game special, I want to learn more about them and that is what kept me playing this game
Hades is not a switch exclusive...
@@redda2BotW isn’t either. I played it on WiiU.
I just ordered myself a Switch, and honestly, I can't wait. I haven't had a Nintendo console since the N64. I had the Game Boys, the DS, and eventually a 2DS, but the N64 was my last Nintendo "console". I can't wait to play Animal Crossing, the Zeldas, Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Arceus and Violet, Metroid Prime and Dread, Mario Kart, and so many others.
wii and wii U were cool systems also
Super Mario Maker 2 is my 10/10. I love creating my own levels and having a never ending amount of other people's levels to play.

Beans are privileged
It sold around 13 milion copies so it is not that underrated :) Im playing it nów and love it very much.
I dropped it after 4 hours it felt boring does it get better?
@@RawWrath If you didn't like it after 4 hours, I don't know. Some folks just hate platformers
I loved the passion for telling your experiences with these games! I really enjoyed this video and you made me feel the same about the most games I have played. Some of them I haven't, unfortunately.
Metroid Dread to me is a 10/10 game.
Yes!

Luigi’s Mansion is as if Pixar made it. Such an amazing looking game. The lighting and atmosphere is superb!!!
People sort of just gave it an 8/10 or 9/10 and went on their merry way. I think Johnny is doing a good thing by making it more recognized. It's legitimately one of the best coop games as well, extremely fun.
Facts 10/10 game. Would make a cool movie
Thank you for the suggestions brother. I went out and bought links awakening, Breath of the wild and Luigi’s mansion 3 about an hour after watching this video. Great reviews.
Love how positive u are. If I were a betting man (which I am) I’d go as far as to say you’ve never been on twitter before lol
Triangle Strategy for me. I knew I was going to like it, but it really blew me away more than I thought it would. Easily 10/10 in my book.
Agreed, it's in my top 10 favorite games of all time now
I feel like that game hasn’t got enough love on this channel!
Tactics ogre out this Friday!
Play Fire Emblem Three Houses after Triangle Strategy, it's the perfect follow up game; just different enough but still a strategy masterpiece
Bayonetta 3
Years in the making. Fun, challenging, amazing soundtrack, and so much more. It was worth the wait
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Cute, colorful, but also unexpectedly heartfelt, and can be tough.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Sometimes a game is beyond words
Super Mario Odyssey
Just like BotW
Bayonetta 3 is best action game I've played in years. Well worth the wait is an understatement.
Your video about the connection you had with Super Mario Galaxy years ago touched my heart, Johnny, and I think about it to this day. Thanks for another great video-keep inspiring others with that joy and passion, my friend ✌🏻
calm down
Triangle Strategy so far is my favorite Switch game.
You might really like Tactics Ogre Reborn if you haven't played it before!
I'm an adult male and haven't played much video games since my late teenage years. Immortals fenyx rising got me hooked for the first time in many years. It's so surprising not many people talk about it. It's extremely underrated for what it is. And I find the graphic way more pleasing than BOTW
Always appreciate new videos from you, Johnny. 🙂 I gotta get around to playing Luigi's Mansion on GameCube at some point.
Play the 3ds version if you can . It's the best way to play it especially since the game was made to be played in 3D.
The atmosphere in the GameCube version is unparalleled
It’s a crime not to mention Astral Chain or Wonderful 101, because those are some of the most creative and deep battle systems ever!
A remaster of Fzero GX would be a 10/10 for me 😁😁😁
so many people want this
online play with and without collision with at least 12 racers on one track with revive or even without revive options would be nuts.
Or some Time Trial online like in trackmania with a 10 minute timer and the best time by then wins.

There s a easy glitch to get full heart and stamina ...
I think Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 10/10 for me. The only other exclusives that come close (other than ones mentioned here) are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon Legends Arceus.
Metroid Dread, Monster Hunter Rise and Bayonetta are some of my favorites for sure.
You're a 10/10 Johnny and it's cool you finally have a video on your channel that's gotten so much attention. Congrats.
This was a fun video! The Switch has turned out to be the little engine that could. It may not be the most powerful system but the games are phenomenal!
No Metroid dread? That’s without a doubt a 10/10 game
Swear to god i was just bout to be like where tf is Metroid dread?? 😂
Probably left it off so people would comment.
Nope
Metroid Dread is still a niche game (as are most 2D Metroid games). Even Metroid Prime Remaster is more famous (and arguably put Metroid on the planet for a lot of people who never cared about it before - kinda the same thing Breath of the Wild did). Why do you think the room only gets really loud when Nintendo talks about Metroid Prime 4?
I second this motion
Your channel is the greatest! Thanks for doing what you do.
Breath of the Wild for sure. Had enough nods to previous games for the nostalgia. I also never did like longer bigger dungeons, I'd get dungeon fatigue. So I loved the smaller shrines.

Luigi's mansion 3 for its creativity and variety with all the different floors and enemies.
I like your personality and this was a good video. Subbed.
The best sunday video as always. Keep going Johnny!

For those that don't know the difference:
Shin Megami Tensei = Uses personas/demons as Pokemon
Persona = Uses personas/demons JoJo stands (meaning the character fights with the persona behind them spiritually)
Both series are connected in terms of character design and thats about it.

It's this kind of video that reminds me how many great games are on the Switch! Great list!
We are going to look back someday on the Switch and see it as another Nintendo golden age.
Pl I'lol mo.
Man, I would LOVE an Oracle of Ages/Seasons remake like Link’s Awakening had gotten
being a fan of the older games, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is a love letter for me. 10/10.
Thanks for putting this list together. I have some new games to try out!

Just subscribed. Love your warm, enthusiastic, and unassuming energy. Great stuff.
I've seen several lists and this is the most spot on for me, love this list and MUST HAVE games without a doubt ✨
I'm 40 started with the Atari and I must say personally switch is my all time favorite console
However, I think this needs to be updated to include;-
Super Mario Wonder
Donkey Kong Country:- Tropical Freeze
Metroid Prime/Dread
Legend Of Zelda:- Tears Of The Kingdom
Then for me I’d add:-
Sonic Superstars
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:- Shredders Revenge
Hades
Honourable Mentions
Splatoon 3
Pikmin 3
Kirby And The Forgotten Land
I wasn't masive on super Mario party on the switch, but the Superstars version is right up there for me. Is it a 10? Possibly, they didn't choose my favourite boards over the series, but it's solid and a ton of fun.
Octopath Traveller, The Witcher 3, Luigi Mansion 3, and MK8 are my main Switch jams. Besides that love all the retro content including Capcom Arcade v1 v2.
Did not know about the Grandia collection. Gotta grab that! Fingers crossed for a Breath of Fire collection?
Yep, it came out a little rough but after some patches it's a great collection(opinions on the filter for G1 aside) I believe it's still on Playasia if you want a physical copy but otherwise it goes on sale for 50% off on the eshop/Steam from time to time.
Capcom has been releasing a lot of collections and alot of people have been asking for BoF so I think we'll get one eventually. Hopefully it will include Dragon Quarter even though a lot of people hate it, I liked it myself(however I would agree it was a bad BoF title and should have been a new IP)
