So true, dear Inna! I, for example, know lots and lots of so-called "advanced" words: eponymous, luscious, hideous,... and yet, I really struggle to name basic daily-life items, like the ones you've explained on this video. A thousand thanks!
I'm really happy you liked it! And I can totally relate. I teach everyday English not because you need it but because I know what it feels like. Been there, done that :)
That's really good! If I had a teacher like this in school, I would be making my videos in English by now ahaha! Very impressive content, keep up the good work! ❤
Hello from Russia, Inna! I wanted to ask you, is it ususally cold inside the houses in Europe?.. Watch rather many videos and people often are wearing warm clothes (sweaters)
Hi! Well, I'm not sure about Russia, but in Belarus we used to have central heating and most houses (except for the new ones) didn't have this valve on radiators to adjust the temperature. In Germany though, most houses do have those valves, so it then depends on much the people want to save money. Which of course depends on the income. For some people, it's also the matter of habit and/or minimizing their carbon footprint, because people think a lot more about the impact on the environment. I've been to homes where people heat them quite a lot in winter and to those where it's pretty cold. I personally also like it chilly because I sleep really badly in high temperatures. Back in Belarus, sleeping in winter was always a torture, because we didn't have those valves on radiators. That's why you see me wearing warm sweaters in winter as well :)
I already knew why you had to cycle before I fully watched the video. ;) I also had to use my bike when BVG was on strike. Then my saddle broke and I had to pay almost 20 € for a less than 10 min ride to arrive at my destination on time. 🫠 Thanks for your everyday-vocabulary!
