The actual 1946 bombing of the King David Hotel was was ordered by the head of Irgun, a radical Zionist breakaway group from the larger Jewish paramilitary organization Haganah. That head was none other than one Menachem Begin, a dangerous terrorist, and future PM of the state of Israel (1977). Ironically, another terrorist, this one an Egyptian, was also imprisoned by the British-Anwar Sadat-for his anti-British activities. Two men, one Egyptian and one Jewish, both terrorists, both destined to become leaders of their respective nations. You just can’t make this stuff up.
There's a whole wikipedia page about him and he was indeed the leader of the Irgun gang aka terrorists. Google and you'll find plenty of source.@chairmanxijinpooh8392
Terrorist is a silly word. You can make it up. A stupi word for more ons to use. Russia is terrorising but they don't fit the idiotic definition of your vocabulary
The British peacekeepers had just recently finished defeating the Nazis! Gratitude, eh? Also, in no particular order- The Provisional IRA that emerged in the late 1960s (the group that battled during The Troubles) eventually took a very pro-Palestinian stance. The video only mentions The Stern Gang (aka Lehi) for a few seconds. They were even more radical than Irgun. They worked together with Irgun on the King David Hotel bombing. Their last action, in the midst of the 1948 War, was to assassinate Count Folke Bernadotte, a Swedish diplomat who had saved thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. Just like Irgun, one Lehi member became a future PM, namely Yitzak Shamir. Although the mainstream Zionist organizations tried to bring these groups under control, even arresting some of their members, all was forgiven upon declaration of independence and the beginning of the war. Both organizations were quickly absorbed into the IDF, and former members could get service ribbons indicating said membership.
British Army were blocking immigration of Jews into Israel. This was against the unanimous League of Nations decision of 1922. Irgun and LEHI both declared war on the UK in Spring 1944.
She meant, of course, the british headquarters of the country know 6ou Palestine's "Isreal" did not yet even exist. And we must note that the actual percentage of Palestinian jews ( in Palestine, the jewish folks in that country (internationally known as Palestine) is wrong.
I seem to remember hearing about that same type of attitude around 1776 with those colonists called the "minutemen." They may not have thought much about minutemen tactics either.
