The world would bend toward justice if discussion and criticism of Israel didn't automatically get deemed "antisemitic." It's entirely possible to question Israel and not hate Jewish people.
I as a muslim, I do not hate Jews at all. They are related to us. We Muslims love and respect prophet Moses. Its just the zionist movement is the problem. I have no issues to have a jew family as my neighbor at all.
Justice isn't top of their list. Gaza will be levelled and Israel will invade, occupy, torture, kidnap, maim and slaughter everyone that's not Israeli and lay claim the Gaza Strip as part of Israel 2.0. It was long ago that Israel decided that the entire area would be called Israel by 2048.
I don't at all condone what Hamas is doing but I completely understand that Isreal has been sticking its d!ck in the proverbial palestinian hornets nest with illegal settlements, slowly encroaching into the west bank. Their far right govt currently in power pretty much wants a Palestinian genocide and have been looking for an excuse. This is it. I feel for all the Palestinian and Israeli citizens getting caught up in this mess. Its funny how you will eventually turn into your worst enemy.

This. However, no amount of oppression justifies the killing and murdering of innocent civillians, including children - and even infants, in the way in which these acts were accomplished by the terrorists who are largely supported by the oppressed people in a certain region.

The part about the Arab communities having a strong case but no good advocates, and the Jews having a weaker case but excellent advocates is a perfect summary of how this panned out.
@@paulwally9007 Too be fair to the British Foreign Office in WW1 they honoured the promise to defend Belgium at terrible cost. The Italians got the lands they were promised, The French got the lands they were promised, Rumania got the lands they were promised, the Jews got support for a homeland and the Sherrif of Mecca and his sons got freedom from the Ottoman Empire and a couple of Kingdoms in Transjordan and Iraq. British never said to the Sherrif of Mecca that they would back all of his claims. The only actual promise broken was Constantinople to the Czar and he was dead and replaced by the Communists by 1919 and perhaps it could be said that the Sherrif in that he lost out in Saudi to his local rivals. So I do not think the British were any more perfidious than anyone else 1914-1919 during which period Italy declared war on its former allies, Germany promised Mexico most of south west USA, the Arabs betrayed the Ottoman Empire and the Ottomans attacked the Russians without warning or declaration of war. In fact if you want a root cause for a lot of the problems in Palastine you probably need to start not with the promises of the British to various allies but the decision of the Young Turk Government in Constantinople to join a European War. Which even with promises of German support has always struck me as a really stupid option to take.....by 1917 the Russians had basically defeated the Turks and won control of the Black Sea, if not for the revolution in Russia the British and French would have had to honour the promise of Constantinople to the Czar as well. No wonder Putin and modern Russian Nationalists think the revolution in 1917 was a bad move.
Great verbal conveyance of history. HOWEVER, NOTE TO UA-cam: The images were filmed and photographed to ACCURATELY DOCUMENT THE REALITIES OF GIVEN EVENTS. Digitizing out death & destruction that actually occurred, denies the depth and complete truth of a story and history, itself. It may also support the efforts of those who would wish those realities softened and dismissed as never having had happened.

It is not sad that people are watching this only now. People are not supposed to know everything. In this age of information, it is impossible to know everything. Actually, it is great to see that some people are interested in the history of this conflict, no matter if only now. :)
The conflict definitely was kickstarted by the british with the lovely Balfur declaration, allowing people to occupy a land without the permission of the people actually living there and having lived there for generations. Any terrorist attack should be condemned yet one can see where those are coming from. Take away the land, the future of a group of people and you'll see despair pushing humans to do the most horrendous of things. I'm a firm believer of self-determination, something the Arabs in Palestine had not even a taste of. Do you imagine the goverment were to bring a random stranger and force you to share your home with them? And then the stranger pushes you to live in nothing but a corner of your home as he brings the rest of their family, claiming now the place as theirs?
Cant really call whats happening here terrorism. Its literally people fighting for fair treatment. Im sure they would consider Israel’s treatment and occupation of Palestine terrorism as well 🤷♂️ just one cause is a little more justifiable than the other
What? Goodness me, following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, in 1919 following the First World War, Great Britain was awarded the Mandate for Palestine. When the British controlled Palestine, the Jews there referred to themselves as “Palestinian”. The Arabs did not recognize a separate national identity for those Arabs living in Palestine, and they referred to themselves simply as Arabs, as did the Arabs of much of the Middle East. What permission did the UK need? LOL. That is not how things work, the British had agreed in the League of Nations for the creation of Israel.
I am ashamed that I served in the Middle East and had no idea of the full history of rationale of it all. Thank you for the insight on what caused the tension.
Thats exactly what military wants, soldiers that can’t think for themselves and who are easily controlled. I hope now at least that you don’t serve them anymore
It's a complex topic. Historical education of armed forces has never been emphasized. It has caused occasional problems. Unlike some others here, I do not think you were deliberately manipulated. Training is simply focused on the role that soldiers will actually perform. It's not a liberal arts education. And, honestly, you wouldn't want the kind of historical education a boot camp might struggle to put together. Better to take a college course. This video is at the level of detail which would show up in college study of the topic.
Perfect documentary stating facts without misleading or propaganda. Thank you The countries who caused this mess need to get together again and fix it. In the ideal world that is.
No. The people who created those problems are no longer here. The present individuals have the power - but not the willingness - to stop this. Only them can and should stop it.

Other Islamic empires aka caliphates. Wkipd has a long list. Sharif Hussain's son, Abdullah, all family of Mohammed (their enemy was Saud & Wahhab), got 77% of Palestine land given to them, as Trans-Jordan aka Kingdom of Jordan. Basic math says the sliver of Palestine west of the Jordan, the part that is shown on maps as all Israel or all Palestine, that's 23%. How much of that 23% is owned fully or partly Israel? More than half but less than all. Then there's ancient Gaza City and the West Bank area where Israel won't let them have their own full military, make their own missiles and Air Force jets, build or buy their own nukes, and have an open border to Israel territory. Non-Jewish Syrian & Egyptian people of Palestine were OFFERED a sovereign nation-state of Palestine with FIXED BORDERS next to Israel. They we're given three or four or five successive options. These provide vision, but vision without focus is the reason there are so many political headaches in today's world. No matter how much a global capitalism agenda is forced on us as the best path forward, the underpinnings of society, religion, finance and greed will always corrupt what could be into what it is. And again the common man will be the one to suffer the most, to fight, to die and rest far less than the fewest furthest from any conflict.
This is so important, what is said at the end. "Clearly it played a role in dividing the Arab world into different states, in allowing the establishment of the state of Israel and in frustrating Arab desires, but if what happened in Sykes-Picot and everything else that happened in the First World War is used as an excuse for the problems of the Middle East now, I think that would be a mistake. But yes, the *roots* of what we see today certainly arose from the double dealing of the First World War and from the frustrated expectations of that time."

Actually the conflict goes back further than WW1. WW1 was just the next to last nail in the bed of nails. Palestine was and still is a region in modern day Iran. The Palestinians where moved to Israel by the Roman Empire to a) remove them from their country men after a rebellion, and b) use them as overseers of the Israeli people to deflect anger onto the Palestinians instead of the Romans. This was the start of the acrimony between Jews, and Arab tribes. Then you had several different empires including the Ottoman conquer the region prior to World War 1. It would probably take a 3 video series to tell the entire story.
No sir. There wasn't much conflict going on untill WWII when Racist European Zionist Jewish migranted to the region escaping prosecution in Europe and Russia. They saw Palestinians as sub-human from the get go which created tensions. There wasn't much conflict between native Jewish, Muslim and Christian of the region.
Following the Kaiser’s defeat and the Great War’s end, US president Woodrow Wilson commissioned a report into the non-Turkish regions of the fallen Ottoman Empire conducted by academic Dr Henry King and orientalist Charles Crane, who found that the almost 90 per cent non-Jewish population of Palestine were “emphatically against” the Zionist project. The authors warned of the intensity of feeling and argued that Jewish immigration should be limited in the greater interests of peace but were roundly ignored by the international community, their conclusions suppressed until 1922.
ANTI-American DEMOCRAT WILSON - - - the Democrats took control of the House in 1910 and elected the Northern segregationist Woodrow Wilson as president in 1912 and 1916. In his first year in office, Wilson permitted his Treasury and the Post Office to begin efforts to segregate the federal workforce, particularly in the Columbia District. It was often carried out surreptitiously. Yet Wilson condoned it and tried to duck its implications in a manner we would describe today as slimy. Wilson ordered Jim Crow segregation in all federal government facilities in Washington DC, wiping out 50 years of social progress that African-Americans made under Republicans. No longer could blacks and whites work together in government offices, eat in the same cafeterias, our use the same bathrooms. The Wilson administration went a step further. Through the Treasury Department's Office of the Architect, the bureau charged with construction and maintenance of federal buildings, federal buildings throughout the nation were ordered to furnish segregated bathrooms, even in Northern states were practices as such were virtually unknown. Wilson also curtailed minority appointments to executive, diplomatic, and judicial positions. Those latter numbers weren't large - about 30 - but they were posts traditionally reserved for black Americans. The signal was terrible, even if it's unclear that those black appointments would have met approval from a Senate controlled by Southern Democrats. Estimates reckon that between 15,000 and 20,000 black civil service employees, 6% of the federal workforce, were impacted by the administration's actions.[61] Wilson successfully led Congress to a series of Progressive laws, including a reduced tariff, stronger antitrust laws, the Federal Reserve System, hours-and-pay benefits for railroad workers, and outlawing of child labor, raising wages for adults. Furthermore, constitutional amendments for prohibition and woman suffrage were passed in his second term. In effect, Wilson laid to rest the issues of tariffs, money and antitrust that had dominated politics for 40 years. In 1915 the epic Hollywood film, Birth of a Nation was released with its portrayal of black men, many played by white actors in blackface, as unintelligent and sexually aggressive towards white women, and the portrayal of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as an heroic force. It was the first American motion picture to be screened inside the White House, viewed there by President Woodrow Wilson, members of his cabinet, and their families.[64] In a letter to the White House press secretary the author of The Clansman: A Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan which the film is based, wrote: “ "The real purpose of my film was to revolutionize Northern sentiments by a presentation of history that would transform every man in the audience into a good Democrat...Every man who comes out of the theater is a Southern partisan for life!"
I love how the documentary hints that the reason the USA was got into the war was the international Jewish community agreeing to it thanks to the Balfour declaration. They then Segway into the argument that the “British overestimated the strength of international Jewry” but let’s be honest, why else did the Americans suddenly get into this war? And the documentary also mentions that much of the top Bolshevik officials in Russia were Jewish. Basically if you didn’t know any better, you could say ww1 and ww2 were the same conflicts with a break in between, and the same motivations. The allies got the international Jewry on their side, to establish a Jewish colony in Palestine. if I think about it, the Arabs should have gone with the Germans as Allies not the British, as the Germans openly supported Arab and Muslim aspirations against their Franco British colonial overlords. The Arabs trusted the French and British empires who then completely screwed them over as they were sold to the Zionist cause. To this day we can see the traces of this in modern politics.
The grand mufti of Palestine did flee the British to Germany. One of the things there that he did was to announce Indonesian independence on Radio Berlin. He then went to the Japanese ambassador and demanded the Japanese who were occupying Indonesia fulfill their promise and give Indonesia indepence and the Japanese prime minister actually promised to do so. After returning to Palestine he convinced the Arab nations to provide the newly created state of Indonesia still struggling for independence with the de jure recognition it needed. Indonesia will always support Palestine.

I am from Eastern Europe and when the country was Communist all Jews fled (Israel paid to let them go to their country) but (after the Iron Curtain fell) when they could make money they returned. Britain’s greed is what caused their fall…they thought they could treat others as lackeys and disrespect them while enriching their wealth.
You think the Jews fled and returned simply because they could or couldn't make money??? 🤦🏼♀️ What an ignorant comment. Jews left the USSR for many reasons, but mainly because they weren't free to practice their faith or live their culture. And because of the extreme anti-Semitism that existed there under the USSR government. They began returning after the collapse of the USSR because they were from that region and they wanted to be in their home countries. Yes, there were more economic opportunities, (isn't that often a reason people emigrate to different countries?), but there was also finally freedom to be a Jew without fear of oppression or violence. Clearly, (as seen by your comment), anti-Semitism is still alive and well in Russia and the surrounding countries, but not to the same extent.

It's a strange thought that this is what the world looked like a mere hundred years ago - countries that are nearly forgotten, countries that didn't exist back then. May Almighty God judge as he always do: remove the wicked from among the righteous. All praise to Almighty God amen.
lol I love how this starts off by saying this conflict goes back "much further" and then proceeds to only go back in time a tiny bit and ignore the actual beginnings thousands of years before
Not "thousands" of years but only the early 20th century, following the defeat of the Ottoman empire. The British/French colonial scum divided the Arab part of the Ottoman empire among themselves, later creating an alien entity in Palestine, leading to bloodshed, caused by Zionist colonization, under the fraudulent "right to return" claim!
very interesting historical context for what is happening right now. I wonder however what hope there is for peace in the area. If only there could be two different national states that coexisted, and worked together, rather than resorting to violence and illegal occupation. Or better yet, a unified Palestine between both groups. The extreme rhetoric of Hamas and the illegal expansion of Israeli territory make such peace impossible though.
The reflexive identification with Israel, by both US media professionals and politicians, always obscures the fuller picture of what’s happening between Israel and the Palestinians. Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel all live under various regimes of organized discrimination and oppression, much of which makes life nearly unlivable Every one of us must stand up and denounce the killing of every civilian, Israeli or Palestinian or otherwise. But Watson’s use of the word “unprovoked” is doing a lot of work here. What exactly counts as a provocation? Not, apparently, the large number of settlers, more than 800 by one media account, who stormed al-Aqsa mosque on 5 October. Not the 248 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces or settlers between 1 January and 4 October of this year. Not the denial of Palestinian human rights and national aspirations for decades. One can, in fact must, see such actions as provocations without endorsing further murderous violence against civilians. But if you watched only US news, you would be likely to presume that Palestinians always act while Israel only reacts. You might even think that Palestinians are the ones colonizing the land of Israel, no less. And you probably believe that Israel, which holds ultimate control over the lives of 5 million Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza and yet denies them the right to vote in Israeli elections, is a democracy. To be considered a political being you must at the very least be considered a human being. Who gets to count as human? “I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly,” Israel’s defense minister Yoav Gallant said. Human animals? How can such language and an announced policy of collective punishment against all the residents of Gaza be seen by Israel’s supporters in the United States or elsewhere as defensible? Let’s be clear: Gallant’s language is not the rhetoric of deterrence. It’s the language of genocide.
Uk planted the roots of conflict 100 years ago by giving Palestine land to Israel in order to fulfill an ancient biblical prophecy. This prophecy was given 1500 years ago to console exiled Israelis they would soon return home, which they never did. But UK took it too seriously ignoring there are also many failed prophecies eg Israel would exist forever and ruled by the house of King David (but Israel only lasted 100 years before it was split into Israel and Judah and only lasted 300 years). So UK created a long term man made disaster in middle east.
The fact that they are starting this conflict with Britain in the 1900’s speaks volumes. This conflict has been going on since before Jesus was around.

And again the common man will be the one to suffer the most, to fight, to die and rest far less than the fewest furthest from any conflict.
Actually this is an anti-Zionist propagand piece.
This is so important, what is said at the end. Middle East history reaches back millennia. Every successive millennium has contributed to its history and complexity across regions, countries, tribes, faiths, conflicts, wars, and conquests to the extent we have the implacable hate and grievance on both sides today.
Heck it even includes Jesus..... and people still blame one cultural group involved in this issue for that incident too.

American president Woodrow Wilson
"A vision of the New World Order"
Spot on 💯
rothschild
It was the first American motion picture to be screened inside the White House, viewed there by President Woodrow Wilson, members of his cabinet, and their families.[64] In a letter to the White House press secretary the author of The Clansman: A Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan which the film is based, wrote:
“ "The real purpose of my film was to revolutionize Northern sentiments by a presentation of history that would transform every man in the audience into a good Democrat...Every man who comes out of the theater is a Southern partisan for life!"

You summaries it brilliantly. Thanks.

I watched, also, another documentary on this topic and that explained it for me. I never knew who the ignitor of this conflict was (this was not taught in the Soviet Bloc, even though having such hatred for the West it would have converted other people to the same hate instead of the leadership).
I would and probably hundreds of thousands support them when they stop calling themselves victims.

Sending healing vibrations to the people suffering war
The reflexive identification with Israel, by both US media professionals and politicians, always obscures the fuller picture of what’s happening between Israel and the Palestinians.
Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel all live under various regimes of organized discrimination and oppression, much of which makes life nearly unlivable
Every one of us must stand up and denounce the killing of every civilian, Israeli or Palestinian or otherwise.
Excellent comment.
