Its a traditional kite called "wau" and very familiar with the local of northen malaysia up to the south of thailand. They made it from glossy kind of paper (oil paper we called it) with bamboo sticks and sometime from the middle part of palm leave.

What you guys are doing is real compassion. Not what can I give, but what do they truly need. They are much further ahead in the game than those of us born into far better circumstances, due to genuine respect and concern for their Elders.
So when you step just a little bit outside your comfort zone, they understand that. Some of the finest people on this earth.
And I’m talking about them, and you guys for “seeing” this!

You all are awesome to share the perspective of boat work is a privilege. You are 100% correct that the ability to do certain things in life boils down being born in the right place at the right time. I am by no means taking away from a persons self motivations and aspiration's, but the reality is when you are born you are dealt a hand from a deck of cards. That hand can be strong or poor, but that hand has to be played.

      Well said.
Traveling and exposure to more things than our small little locales can provide a perspective like nothing else.
Throwing a wheelchair to the problem would have been easier but probably may not have given that little girl a chance that she may get now...
You guys are making the world a better place one act at a time. Thank you!!

Thanks for an incredibly authentic video of what the cruising life can be. Hats off to you for your character that shines thru. As we all try to come to terms with how this pandemic continues to change our lives, you do put it in perspective, for all of us. Best wishes from Bud and Tracy in Panama and heading to the Sea of Cortez.
