Jim Watt, who was the gym owner, was a genuine world champion boxer who became one of the best commentators on the sport after he retired. As other people have said the girl at the beginning and the end won a television singing competition called Pop Idol in 2003.
Hey🐿️it's that time👏👏great stuff, the violent lady giving her old man a bollocking in the first episode I believe was Peggy and she's in a few episodes. The former boxing champ was former lightweight world champion Jim Watt who beat Alfredo Pitalua in 1979 for the vacant crown when Roberto Duran moved up a division. Great reaction as ever to this classic comedy, cheers buddy ✌️🍻
Tony check out the Jim Watt and Ken Buchanan fight boxing as it should be no trash talk, no circus ring pre fight weigh ins just pure boxing and an unbelievable level of sportsmanlike behaviour at the end. A prime example of the "Gentleman's Sport" as boxing used to be. Unfortunately now it's become a laughable circus.
That's the first time in ages you didn't call jack and victor 'these two handsome bastards'. Ha I never liked how they portray Boabby in this episode as he's actually a lovely character. The pizza scenes are some of my favourites from all the episodes. Others have answered your questions so I'll just say that Friday is complete now. Thanks man have a good one! 😎
Jim Watt, what a figter. Him and Ken Buchanan along with Ricky Burns and Josh Taylor. Scotlands best! But yea Jim Watt was a hell of fighter. His fight with Ken Buchanan was proper boxing. No shit in the build up just 2 top fighters battling it out full of respect for each other!
Flatbreads were consumed with toppings by ancient Greeks and Egyptians and also Romans, however the modern day ''pizza'' as we know it comes from Naples in Italy.
No one seems to acknowledge that Michelle McManus won Pop Idol because of the public vote. The judges at the time didn't want her to win, and she quickly fell into obscurity In fact one judge (Pete Waterman) walked off stage calling her "rubbish", and rather sadly the judges were proven right. She lost some weight, but even here the joke is that she's still a laughing stock. I think she had the one number one hit.
In a fish n chip shop. The pizza is deep fried in batter...... its amazing

They’re old guys in their 70s and this is early 2000s. pizzza would have become more established everywhere when they were past their peak
Michelle McManus is a Scottish singer, columnist, and television presenter who won the second and final series of the UK talent show Pop Idol in 2003.

Check out Watt v O'Grady. Watt won on a technical headbutt.
Aye, pizza is big in Scotland, it's just that he's not had it. You normally get a battered pizza from the chip shop in Scotland.
We love pizza here in Scotland, We really love a good chinese or a good spicy curry.

The girl, Michelle, won X Factor or Pop Idol about 20 years ago. I forget which one.
You can get deep fried pizzas (battered or unbattered) from the chip shops here in Scotland and they are FANTASTIC
My cousin loves them too. Honestly I think they're vile. Wouldn't give it to my dog

Butthead was the dark haired one.
Michelle McManus won the second Pop Idol.
You had Beavis & Butthead.
We had Boabby & Dickhead.
Played by Bobby & Stevie.

Pizza is not Italian, Pizza is Greek
