Hasn’t this arse interviewer heard of rock and roll attitude. Johnny Ramone didn’t do solos but who could ever duplicate him. Johnny Thunders made his guitar sound like a wounded animal. I will take rock and roll attitude over the Jimi Page guitar solos any day.
It's funny cause for me Jimmy Page is all about the attitude, and not technic (well maybe you could saY everyone is technically above Thunders. But man can he makes them Gibsons sound like razors) love them all, Perry, Page, Thunders, Winter, Nugent...
Johnny Thunders is twice the guitar player Perry is. The Dolls were an infinitely better band and Thunders Heatbreakers and solo work kills anything Aerosmith ever did.
Truth. Regardless of amp, or guitar you know it's Thunders. Can't say the same for Perry. I do have respect for him, but he's not fit to swap Johnny's strings out.

So glad Joe is a big Dolls fan and pays them so much respect.
The Dolls were rock n roll. Great. Aerosmith were great too. When they came out they were right up there too. Kick ass rock n roll. Loved them both
