That double slide by Ale, rev, rev, revving them up into the final bridge/chorus is such an amazing add to bring the song into its penultimate conclusion!
Whoever played bass knows: it burns like hell. You need a lot of practice and cornea on your fingertipps to withstand the reflex to just retract your hand.
@@SDsailor7 Thanks. Of course. I was thinking agead about their next big CDMX concert in Auditorio Nacional. If they record it professionally, that will be the new Golden Standard.
@@arctic_haze By now they are well aware of the value of a good recorded show so I expect the Auditorio Nacional show to be perfectly recorded and they have 2 shows to choose from.
They have been and are massive fans of Muse. They have actually opened for Muse 9 times. Additionally, that yellow Manson guitar Dany played for this song was a gift made specially for her and presented during a live concert by Matt Bellamy of Muse. She also has a white Gibson Explorer that Lzzy Hale had customized and then she presented it to Dany as a surprise mid show when Dany was waiting for a guitar change. They do practice their stage performance quite a bit. In fact, their home studio in the basement of their house has a mirror wall at the front.
The guitar that Dany is playing the Manson guitar that Matt Bellamy gifted her after Muse, and The Warning toured together. The Warning opened for Muse in Mexico, and Muse invited The Warning to open for them in Europe.
For a time, Disciple performed at the Teatro Metropolitan was at the apex. Disciple live at the Pepsi Center now ranks high up there, with 8,000 fans singing with them. When you get a chance look for Disciple performed live in Poland in front of 50,000! TW just gets better live the bigger the audience!
Really entertaining and informational reaction! Thanks! Also, the best reaction I've seen so far to Ale's "engine rev" which gets me every time. Cool sound!! It's cool to see you play Ale's part on each of your reactions to them!
Both Daniela and Paulina could EASILY be frontwoman in any band in the world. You should see Paulina performing Narcisita at Teatro Metropolitan. On the other hand, Ale is so elegant and cool, completely different energy from her sisters but equally talented.
I appreciate the effort you put into your reactions, you deserve a lot more views and subscribers, I recommend you react to Hell You Call A Dream live at the Pepsi Center, Ale makes her bass snarl with such a heavy and wicked bass line, you will love it, and Dany's vocals are top notch in this song.
Really, really enjoy your reaction/breakdowns! Stage presence is so much a part of their DNA, that, I think, it comes from the pure joy with which they approach making music. They put so much of themselves into EVERY song, you can't help but fall into their beautiful trap. Yea, I made it to the end.........twice! Keep up the great work!

The fan cams of the show hinted at the stage presence on display, but I doubt most of The Warning Army were expecting it not only to reach Teatro Metropolitan levels, but to exceed them. Usually for The Warning, the more recent the live version with an audience, the better, as they keep working on their craft and just get better and better, so the new Pepsi Centre videos should be the best.
That was a fun watch. I always enjoy reactors who have a bit of musical background and offer a little extra insight. I've enjoyed your TW bass covers as well. Hope to see more. Peace! 🤘
One thing to look out for about Ale’s bass lines is that she likes to use fret slides, which I think is a signature of hers. I’ve enjoyed another cool cover that you did here.
I read a comment here on YT some time ago that I sadly can't properly attribute, but it describes the ladies in a nutshell (paraphrasing): "Most bands seek to recreate their studio sound when they are on-stage. _The Warning_ does precisely the opposite... and often fails." They were born to be live performers; it's the environment that has always been their main goal ever since they were little kids, and desperately wanted to recreate the environment and scenery of the video game "Rock Band".
Great review/cover , watching your vids reminds me of my short few years chatting with my once band mates in the mid 80s . Disciple is a well rounded song to show all their strengths. I’ll always remember at sxsw show in Austin . They opened for Sammy Hagar. It was an outdoor show people meandering everywhere , during the end days of the pandemic, so people were still a bit cautious of getting close. When the warning started first two songs not many were near the stage at all. When Disciple hit everyone headed to the stage . It hits hard live. By the time Sammy got backstage the crowd was going hard. They draw you in and keep you forever. 🤘⚡️🤘

yeah they want to do a muse collab as well, and hearing this brutal mashup leads me to believe they would go together like chocolate and milk. that was cool.
Stagecraft is a mixture of charisma, practice and experience. The Warning started to play in front of audiences from the jump. As children, they played live.
This is a great video! I learned a lot listening to your explanations. I don't play an instrument but I do enjoy watching other talented people play theirs. Haha you mentioned James Hetfield - well, before the original Enter Sandman cover from when they were children posting for their grandparents, the story is that Dany was practicing for a long time beforehand, making James Hetfield faces into a mirror.
You might be interested in this little tidbit. Alé has been listening to her sisters play music since she was a baby. As such, she has developed two things. She is a human metronome. Pau listens to Ale to help keep time. Ale likely doesn't need a click track. Secondly, Ale, Pau, Dany, and Ale's teacher have all said Ale has perfect pitch.
They have worked on stage presence, but Daniela and Paulina are pretty much naturals at it. They love interacting with the audience. They are a tight band and it shows how much time they've put into their arrangements. QOTMS at Lunario, it was the first time they played it live, so it was a proud moment for them. The writing is excellent no matter what age, but they were 18, 16 and 13 at the time. Subbed for more from TW, cheers YM.
Yes, you are right about the presence of the 3 of them on stage .... its nature to be up there giving it all, you should see the videos of the Pepsi Center where Daniela's presence as always is spectacular.

the pepsi center show is progressively becoming my go-to gold-standard for live performances from The Warning, eclipsing the Teatro Metropolitan show. If you do want to go through the QotMS, I highly recommend using the show from Lunario as the way to do it. Naturally, where you play on the bass is a question of taste and there is no wrong way if you get the sound you want from your instrument and gear. In my experience, however, there are several reasons to play close(r) to the bridge. You get less string flapping and you get a very well defined attack ... you get a nice growl. This makes it easer for the bass to be heard in the 'mix' and not just get muddy. It is generally easier to emphasize bass frequencies on something that is naturally low and is rich on high ones than have the higher frequencies (attack etc.) missing and try to compensate. A lot of bass guitars have the bridge pickup too close to the bridge (assuming pickup blending), so the 'sweet spot' may end up between the pickups (if you have multiples and only switching). For a rock sound, playing with your fingers close to the fretboard will definitely sound too boomy and just a mushy, mellow texture, closer to a standup bass. You could use this for jazz or r&b, reggae or something. On Ale's inferno and her other Specters, it looks like she blends the pickups and that way she has her cake and eats it too (see GEAR MASTERS Ep. 473 on youtube).
