I bought one a dollarama and it works great. If actually is better than a very expensive name brand one that I got as a gift at a christmas party from work
Thank you it's quite good, I can hook up my phone to ring nice and loud for incoming calls and being hard of hearing that's a good tool for a hard of hearing person like me. Thank you, I'm 80 years young and you explained it very well.
i bought one today, checked this vid to learn how to charge it You got some good tunes playin from yours. Opening up the back and i noticed sd card and USB input.
I have two! It's 5 bucks, so you can't really complain. I use them for external gaming speakers and other things. The radio is an FM scanner and I got quite a few stations! I think it's location. They don't last long when they do get them in. Tech 1 sells a bunch of cheap accesories at The Dollar Store. I was actually surprised to see this. And yea, it's only uni-directional. For what it is ~ Pretty cool! ( Battery life is decent too. )
I paid $6 for mine. Can’t go wrong for 6 bucks. The sound for songs with bass sounds muffled, but if you play songs with a lot of treble it actually sounds pretty crisp
You can if your phone has multiple Bluetooth chips, which most nowadays do. The only thing is, you'll probably find they will move out of time. Or you could run a 3.5 mm jack splitter and run them that way. I have done both before.
Fantastic review! My only complaint about this portable speaker is how LOUD it is when turning it on or off. I have never owned a portable speaker before, though, so I'm not sure if that's a problem with this particular speaker only or all portable speakers. I don't suppose anyone knows if there's a way to turn down the volume on this particular sound?
@@ravenlit I completely agree with you. I don't think there's any way to turn down that voice. When it first comes on. Most portable speakers just let out of beep, but not this one.
@@BargainSavage I thought I'd come back and give an update on my Dollarama-bought Tech-1 Rage speaker: I, uh...something weird happened with it. I sleepily went to plug the USB charging cable into the micro-USB port on the speaker to charge it up, and accidentally inserted the micro-USB tip into one of the other non-micro-USB slots (I think it was the standard USB port) and suddenly the speaker went dead. And now it won't turn on. Or off. Or I don't know _what_ it's doing, but long story short, it doesn't work anymore. Have you ever had this happen with any Bluetooth speaker? Or is this just a possibility with this particular type of speaker because it's cheaply made?
I found tons of radio stations but then where I'm at in southwestern Ontario I have stations coming outta the Ying yang And that's with out a cord for antenna lol, and like u I'm still playing with mine to see wtf it all actually does lol
If you know what you are doing. Theoretically, you could take the micro usb port out of it and then connect the power wires to 5 volts. I haven't had one apart but there should only be 3 or 4 wires connected to it. 2 for power and 1 or 2 for antenna.
I also have one but I'm facing a draining battery issue after full charge my other bluetooth device like headphones retain the charge what is the issue with this one ?
I found this Bluetooth speaker on dollarama and it didn’t even last 1 hour the quality was so bad that I threw it away and smashed it for fun I did buy it with my own money I will probably get a lot of hate reply’s but it is what it is it was bad speaker
Yep, it is definitely rolling the dice when you buy stuff from Dollarama. I was super impressed by the one I got and yours was obviously crap. You shouldn't get any hate for destroying yours. It's your money, do what you want with it.
You shouldn't have to have to change the battery because it's rechargeable. Now I can't say for sure, but it most likely has a lithium ion battery that would cost more than the unit itself to replace.
@@BargainSavage I watched the Video from beginning to end and your review was very thorough. Loved it! I'm your latest subscriber. Great job and thank you for the quick reply. Thumbs up of course.
got one of those a while back. figured it was only arouing 5 bucks.. still feel like I got ripped off 4.99.. worked one.. literally one time.. fo about 20 minutes while I tested it.. 2nd time and every time after. IF I can get the damn thing to sinc at all, it is static and lousy souind with an unreliable battery. stay away from this piece of crap.

I just got one at Dollarama and love it, no distortion at all. Mine did come with the instruction page printed in both English and French.
@nanagaga2001 Awesome, they must of upgraded it.

No distortion on the one I purchased. Beautiful sound. I have one from Shoppers paid $99.00 for it, no difference in them other than color.
Is there any difference in sound quality?

Good review... I just bought one from Dollarama right now..... It works.... 5 bucks.....
Thank you. $5 like really it works and it's only $5 👍
Great review my friend! Love that you explained all the functions!

Glad you enjoyed the video and the new purchase. Thank you.
@@BargainSavageHey man, thanks for the great vid. Do you think it's possible to pair with a receiver and use as cheap rear channel, surround speakers?
@N3bula79 For $5 it's worth a try, but I would think latency would be a problem.

Depending on your main device you can add up to 3 other units
I believe as long as your device has Bluetooth 5.2 and/or released after 2020
It should be somewhere in the audio output options...
It must have gotten an upgrade the one I bought sounds so good I have a 200$ speaker it’s obviously better but it the 5$ one was shockingly good

Can you connect two of them together
@nicholasnixon4284 Only if your device has duel Bluetooth module. If connected like that though, they can play out of sync.
Wish there was a reset& or Bluetooth button for resetting nthis beauty
I just got one it had English in the instructions tiny little spot no real details
How long does it take to charge the whole battery?
Can't really say for sure because I plug it in at night and just unplug it in the morning and it's fully charged.
what is the M button for
@McJones78 It has been a while since I reviewed this, but I would guess that it's for mode.

Maybe they bought it somewhere else or maybe they were just blowing smoke.
It will play music off of a usb flash drive
Yes it will.
can you sync 2 of these together?
Don't think so unless you have dual bluetooth or higher in your phone. But that way they could go out of sync a bit.
How long does the battery last for?
It has been a while since I used it, but if remember correctly, it would play for around three hours.
