Texas' New Palo Pinto Mountains State Park! 😍 [October 2022 Update]

We were given the opportunity by the Texas State Parks to visit Texas' next state park a year before it is scheduled to open. This is an inside look at some of the progress on Palo Pinto Mountains State Park and the press event sponsored by H.E.B. It's been 25 years since Texas opened a state park, and it looks like it is going to be a great one! Due to heavy rain the night before, only the planned equestrian campground, the north side of Tucker Lake, and the future park headquarters were open for tour access. One of the furthest east places to see a Canyon Wren too! That little cliff behind the metal gate near the damn is a guaranteed spot to see and hear them for the past 5 years at least that I know of. I hope they keep up their residency. Cool video.
