Agreed. Thoroughly underrated. It really shows off Uematsu's prog roots and his mastery of motifs. Brilliantly covered here.
It's in between two more epic fights. More emotion attached to the final Jenova and final Sephiroth battles.
This is my fave though, and you can sneak it into places where the other tracks might put non fans off.
Which is slightly surprising since it has such a cool name and riffs but then again most FF OST is underrated people just care about the same ones over and over again.🤷♂️

It's up there. Those Who Fight Further is my fav, but it's nigh impossible to find a cover that has any Hammond organ in it.

I’m hoping the FFVII Remake game that covers the end of the story has 10-15 minute epic version of this song. One Winged Angel and J-E-N-O-V-A have been covered to death, but Birth of a God doesn’t get nearly the love it deserves. Incredible arrangement!

Your cover is incredible, I can't believe at times just how on earth you're able to get the exact sounds from the songs which are mainly synth and midis in the originals and make them sound so awesome in guitar. Out of all of the Metal covers I have heard of this track, this is one of the very few I can say you have both excelled in and nailed. Spot on, 10/10! Perfect beat with the sense of urgency the original gave, without any of the guitars trying to fight or compete with each other.
So rad!! All your covers are awesome, guardia castle will forever be my favorite, but this and any of your ff7 covers are right up there.

I love that there was still a standard final ending boss fight song as well as One Winged Angel. He did a similar thing for FF8 with it having three different themes, with the Extreme being the one that has the standard feel to it.
This version sounds like it could be in a dynasty warriors game lol. I love it.

I see a lot of "stiff" guitar players that struggle with making vibrato and neck slides sound good. You on the other hand, have the stuff. The slide in the main lick gives me goosebumps every time.
