Being Lazy we took the Kayaks and kayaked over Loch Maree and saved a few km walk in to hike up Slioch, a mountain in the north west highlands of Scotland...

Had to watch your version of slioch from loch Maree Murray and that corrie was absolutely fantastic.. super video as usual and the views are better than what I got😭😭😭 take care Alan Gregory adventures

Awesome! B-) bet that air was fresh! Love seeing the animal's crossing the road. Beautiful views and the sound of the water as your paddling across..:-) thanks for sharing the experience!
thanks Stephanie - yes lovely to see the deer - but always have to be careful when driving these roads as the deer can appear in front of the car at any time and usually when you aren't expecting it !!

Yesss! Your right! HAHA...i have hit a few unfortunately..:-/ having to drive home late at night from work, or early mornings.. I love taking rides just as sun goes down along the countryside an see all the wildlife that's starting to come out..Owls are my favorite..:-)

Hi Murray. Your 'UA-cam' videos help me to pass time when things are quiet at work and frankly enable me to dream that I'm with you on your adventures. I was particularly interested in the kayaks that you and your colleague used to cross Loch Maree. I was impressed that you could store your walking gear and keep it dry within the storage compartments built into the boats. I'd really welcome some more details of these very practical kayaks. Thank you in anticipation.
Thanks Chris - much appreciate your kind moment. In terms of the kayaks - they are called scupper pros. If memory serves me right they stopped making these, however another company took the moulding and started to produce these (I think). If you google supper pro, you maybe able to find the new company. Sorry I cant be more precise - hope yo find them

Thank you for the information, Murray. I will research "Scupper Pro" via Google and see if I can find the current manufacturers. I'm very impressed with how quickly you have replied to my request. I'd like to re-iterate my earlier comments with regards to how much I enjoy your video blog. I am hoping to visit Assynt or Sutherland in May of next year to hopefully climb Suilven and Stac Pollaidh. (I apologise if I've spelled those place names incorrectly). Thanks again Murray. Murray thanks...had a great trip...Slioch overnight with a coughing goat. The top Lochan was pap on for a pitch... and... Beinn Eighe in amazing weather....set off at 4.30 to miss the sun on the south side ascent...less heat on the way up...photos a bit harsh but was a cracking day out. Pics on Facebook if anyone interested. Again thanks for some great inspiration

Hi Andrew - I have three videos ready to go from my super trip with Thomas Heaton- should be up after the next one on Wednesday. I inadvertently scheduled one but put the wrong date in - think I'll blame lack of sleep and tiredness for the slip up!! lol

Could a beginner have a go at this?
Absolutely . We climbed over to the lochs on the other side i think fionn loch not 100% . Spent 8 months living like a tramp ended up in lochinver worked en route .
