Great attention to detail, I’ve been enjoying your recaps. I have a theory if you want to add one to the collection: the tree in the middle of the road is a hideaway tree like the others and the magic from the tree spilled out and trapped the town when it fell, keeping the inhabitants locked in and transporting outsiders from everywhere into the town. 😅
A couple of clarifications- Father Kathri never said he killed the boy's abusive father- only that he beat the man bloody. The boy definitely seemed dead from his description though. As to Victor and the peaches- that's subtly explained in season two when we see Victor's hideaway inside the abandoned semi truck- PEACHES is painted across the side of the truck. Someone hauling a truckload of peaches had gotten stuck there and the huge amount of canned peaches finally ran out. Nothing supernatural.
The monsters are either controlled completely by some higher power like pawns or they can communicate telepathically/non-vetbally. We see this clearly when Boyd kills Smiley- the female monster with the headband that always accompanies the Cowboy Monster is emoting a conversation with the others without speaking. Her head is moving from one monster to the next, like they're in a conversation. Telepathy explains why the other monsters arrive when Pornstache is dead. The monsters have a "glammer" or illusion that lets them appear human- it looks like it takes a minute to reset from bloody to clean.
27:03 you didn't mention that the monster called Khatri "father" before she sliced him. Like i heard a female voice saying "father" as a distraction maybe. Maybe the voice reminded him of his daughter or maybe one of the students just like the boy with the chocolate. And that's why he stopped to think and turn around instead of running inside the post office. And also seconds before that three of the monsters were walking down the road and one of the male monsters asked if they are ok like "are you guys ok over there" and then the female voice and then the slicing happened. 🤷🤷
I think there’s a major clue that eveyone is over looking from the 1st episode. When the scene pans out to an overview when the Matthews family is driving trying to figure out how there looping, you can see the train track, power lines, some type of post to the bottom left, the water to the bottom right is further back and the tree line is tall. When they show this scene again moments later, the tree line has shrunk, the power lines are gone, the post in the bottom left is gone, and the water in the bottom right has been more covered in foliage. There’s clearly an illusion or and entrance of some sort but this shows the change in the area very early
Great video as always. I love your attention to detail. You channel is definitely growing in popularity among the Fromily. Do you have an email address if people want to send you some long-form theories?
24:26 i agree, something is off with the monsters clothes (underground they are filthy) yet arrive clean. Just like how the BiW is clean, fresh white whereas the ghoulish kids have a head as if it was pulled and clothes are weathered (burned and/or frowned)
its fake like the human form and even the smile is over the top fake right, they're intentions are dark, In the cave they looked like monsters and the clothes were dirty , but thwne they change form into their fake form its clean and in place neat and perfect smile
Fatima’s necklace is very similar to the one that Minnie Castavet gives Rosemary to wear in Rosemary’s Babyyyyyyyyyy!!! It was filled with “tanis root” (an herb that supposedly made her more compliant to their satanic plot.)
Maybe the cave writings have answers, I wonder what would happen if at night someone could get in the cave with talesman, when the monsters are hunting 🤔🤔🤔
These are such a good videos!!! About the blood in her dress and then disappearing. I think you, @Geekademy, were right when you say that the creatures can possibly teleport in your video of episode 2 about the bride being one place then another. My humble theory is that whenever someone or something teleports, there is an alteration in the person or the object. For example Victor's stone--he drew an smiley face on the stone and then throw it in the tree---but when the stone came back it did not have the same smiley face. My humble opinion is that we keep thinking that everyone who comes into Fromville is coming from our present reality or dimension. The reason we believe this is simply because it looks pretty much the same. But if we look closely, they are things that do not belong to our present reality or dimension. For example, if we look at the map in the sheriff's office--Atlanta Gorgia is missing from the map. Also, we have these unknown drink names and other electronics. They never talk about covid or make a reference to it. And no character question any of it--it is almost like common knowledge to them. Another example is when Jade said to Jim that Audi Q5 is a top of line car--it is not at all. I'm looking forward to the next video. What happen to the electricity video!!!!! I want answers!!!!!! LOOOOL
@@geekademy Of course, that makes more sense, so we get the whole picture first and then we go into a lot more detail analysis of the strange things that happen in Fromville. This is awesome!!!!! By the way, do you know why the scars in Tabitha's face are different in season 3 than in season 2 when she opens the window's curtains?
I've seen the symbol in Jade's notebook before (not the regular symbol and not the infinity one, the one he's drawing in the screen cap at 6:50). Pretty sure it was a drawing on Victor's wall. I'd have to double check. I noticed it during a rewatch while I was trying to spot another weird symbol that we only see in Se2 ep10 on the computer in the hospital.
I don't have strong theories, I just look for patterns and connections. Residents seem to be in the midst of crossroads as they come to the town. Khatri was suicidal after killing a man. Boyd facing the end of his career, Sara something dark?, Jim a divorce, Mari drug addiction, Tilly dying, Jade sold his company, etc. Dunno what that could mean? On the monsters, they give hints they had former lives.?
I think this is how they can come to the town - in the way that the lighthouse is an in between place (land and sea), they are in an in-between place in their lives, so are able to arrive at the tree. In-betweens are linked to fairies & fairy magic so I think it pulls from that... This is possibly why the talismans need to be on the doors too, as they are in-between places
I love the show and love the journey. I like seeing everyone trying to solve it. Great work being done. I only have 2 theories. 1) I think Sarah is the one screaming and Boyd is reminding her she's so strong. 2) I think Fatimas teeth is falling out because the baby is malnourished which could possibly open up the idea of eating human meat. Otherwise...I'm just enjoying all the theories.
I still don't understand how talismans work. Of he let the monster in and if he locked the room for the date, only this room cold be available for monsters. Because the rest of the home is locked with an amulet.
Maybe Sarah will become a monster. I thought the monsters are while, like dry ashy ghost like skin but they have a warm tone to their skin. They might be human like Sarah who listen to the voices or otherwise they'll be punished.. I'm guessing here
I think they’re all in Purgatory, Purgatory is often described as a cleansing fire, a place for the Lord to more deeply heal our souls and “refine them like gold and like silver” (Malachi 3:3). God exists outside of time, and thus eternal life (including purgatory) does also. How long is purgatory? As long as it takes for our souls to be purified. (hence the reason tabitha made it out and woke up in a coma in the real world)
I still don't understand how talismans work. If he let the monster in and if he locked the room for the date, only this room cold be available for monsters. Because the rest of the home is locked with amulet.
And if the priest was wearing them embroidered on him…was he immune to them? Of course, I didn’t see him wearing them when he got attacked. Or is it just stone that makes it work and not the symbol itself?
@@wildmarjoramdieselpunk6396 I think, stone with symbols works only inside a house. Because monsters threw the amulet off after attacking Megan and her mother. So, monsters can touch amulets.
i had a theory that the bald children are actually in the real world, kidnapped somewhere, and everyone is trapped in their dreamspace. Tabitha would be the one to free them
Regarding Victor with the lunch box in the polaroid. I kinda feel like maybe that was when the town might have been more normal.... maybe he went to school there (at the clinic)? Just a thought. Maybe it wasn't always something to carry his drawing supplies in. Hmmm
It's a long shot, but as its in black and white it's possible to rule out her hair and her be Alice Kyteler. First recorded person condemned for witchcraft. She has very auburn/red hair so putting it like that in one colour pattern could work. Just a thought as I couldn't find agnes sampson in any similar type of portrait she's who i thought it might be. Tried to find Ellis necklace not this one but the one he usually wears. Couldn't find anything perhaps it's just for the show?
Loving the recap videos but I wanted to ask- in the promotional poster that was released, you can see Father Khatri in the bottom right with Kenny's mom and Elgin. What are your thoughts on Father Khatri not only returning but being prominent enough for the season to be put on the poster, effectively spoiling the return?

About what father Khatri said of length of his driving until he got to Fromville - Marielle said Kristi was 2 hours away from her place of departure
It may not be nothing but when she gave Fatiima the dreamcatcher it seemed to be wrapped with plant roots of some kind.
I also think Jasmine tore off Trudys toungue as well because when Jasmine attacked her she went straight to her face.
