Vivan Conely worked for Ortiz that explains the Ortiz gear set and the flamer modification.
Guessing that water cannon she mentioned building in her comms logs was also for Ortiz Robotics.
The three A.I.s. Diamond being the big brother, Isaac the problem child, and Anna being the prodical child.
All three have a role to play.
I'm guessing Natalya wants to control all 3 of them to rule the world. But Keener messed up her plans.
He probably stole Anna and had Theo reprogram her. A system that's diverse and open is easily manipulated.
Isac on the other hand is binary in nature, making it impossible to corrupt. It despises change to the smallest detail. And when it senses change, it stops it and kicks it out without question.
Everything will be revealed once sleeping beauty wakea up from his coma. I hope.
The Ortizes are more than likely fertilizing some flowers somewhere.
For sure they knew too much about the AI systems and were probably eliminated soon after Directive 51 being implemented.

I’d love to own a dummy ISAC watch, i.e. a watch that has the orange ring LED. But having a home brew smart ISAC would be better, if dangerous if used wrongly.
There are the original collectors edition watches still floating around ebay. I got one for about 140£ and only had to replace the batery. You could also 3D print one and build the electronics for it. I plan to do this but for the ISAC brick.
The Watch and ISAC is some of the coolest stuff to come out of The Division, nice to see some lore about it. Got the CE Watch from the first game, and while its mostly looks, id love the idea of a Smart Watch in the vain of a Division one. Brick and all.
Thank you for the upload on these Descent Comms. I would love to collect them all but I honestly get bored doing the missions. Plus, it's time-consuming.

I was thinking of a compilation video, but also a "no comentary" video of just the comms - for those who don't want to hear me prattling on about them 😂
@@NGNnahh commentary is needed my guy and it’s appreciated regardless of how some may feel you have a very unique and distinct voice that actually fits into an immersive story telling experience.
Personally I’m fine with either decision but don’t be so quick to thinking that a lot of people don’t wanna hear you especially being that there are others who don’t understand much about the game or anything at all wether it be because they’re new to the entire franchise or simply haven’t played in a long time and a rare case perhaps that just didn’t pay any mind to the comms.
@@NGN you and your beautiful voice are like 75% of the reason I'm here haha so I'd be a bit sad to not hear it and your theories but either way a compilation would be pretty nice to have for my collection also there will be times where I'll just get the comms just completely wrong or not understand what its trying to say so having that small explanation is nice to have

This kinda makes me hope ISAC gets an upgrade of some kind. Or maybe we reclaim ANNA?
She was present in Keener's watch originally, so maybe we could salvage what remains and fix her up?
There's so much potential just from this watch storyline and I'm loving it.
It would be really cool in the Division 3 to eventually unlock ANNA and all our lights turn blue instead and we unlock the enhanced SHD tech Keener had access to.

Between Conely being confirmed to have worked with Ortiz, the new fire set coming out, and rumors of a cleaner incursion in the works I think we might get a closer look at Ortiz.
These recent lores are doing really interesting things in recycling characters that were previously just one-time targets with flavor texts.
Although I’m not a fan of how the story itself is shaping up currently, I always appreciate the work you do in cataloguing the story content and making it easily accessible. The speculation is always hooking. Keep up the good work :)

There really wasn't a lot of new information in these comms, was there? Yes, we know that it's possible to put the watches and bricks into one device. Which, given that the Black Tusk doesn't seem to be wearing watches, is obviously what they're doing. Because cost is no object when you're Nat "American Accent" Sokolova.
It is unexpected that the NSA analyst potentially revealed the security flaw to Nat, but that there is nothing else about that is interesting. Either they didn't find a security flaw which meant that Nat moved forward with the Ortiz Robotics AI, or they fixed it. But, given that the Hunters always seem to be a step ahead, does suggest that the flaw wasn't fixed.
I do like that they're bringing back other characters that we only knew so much about. Vivian Conley and Trig for example. Though they're we're not learning all that much more about them. It is a nice throwback though, and that they got the same voice actors to record a few extra lines. Although you wonder at what point these were recorded. Was it just recently? Or did they have the Conley ones from the time that she did all the WONY voice acting?

When they talked about watches and bricks I swear there talking about division watches and ISAC uplinks I bet the black tusk is either redesigning or maybe reprogramming division tech they’ve “claimed” from Division agents with their own AI it will probably be even better than ISAC or maybe Anna the rogue AI
I think the last com is gonna play more of a part in how they mistreated the 1st wave and their rebellion

When you've collected the last of the Descent comms, NGN...will you do one larger compilation summary of everything learned?
That would be nice. I have 4 characters, in the decent my #1 has completed 2 loops, my #2 has completed 3 loops and my #4 which is the baby has completed 4 loops but they have never reached the end. How can I get to the end so that I can collect the comms. Is there something that I am not doing correctly? All help is appreciated, I just want to complete the mission. Thanks

Okay maybe I'm going too deep but how do they get this stuff. Like chips and such. Do they make them themselves? If so how do they get the raw materials to make them? There can't be an international trading going on right?
Comms are dated to well before the Dollar Flu outbreak started, so there would have definitely been constant material shipping, especially since it's an official company in-universe.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 That I get. The agents got recruited before anything happend. But they are talking about new types of blocks and watches. If they want to make a smarter AI they need better chips and such, right?
@@gilsa2 Not just the agents, but the whole thing regarding the company itself is also dated to before the outbreak, meaning they would have gotten regular supplies just like any big company. It's not that deep.

Question though is Calvin McManus is the new us president or the next in line of the us president or he is the last us president can you tell us about that in the comments or do a video of it just trying to make sense of it who is the us president now??????
McManus is the Secretary of Homeland Security, and is technically next in line for President since he's kind of the only government agent left as far as we know. Nobody is really the President at this moment, but Manny is sort of the de facto President until it's safe to have a proper new President. Bit of a mess, obviously.

He is last in the IRL presidential line of succession so we probably have some time before he can make that claim.

There are so many other figures in the line of succession before the secretary of homeland security.
While we don't see the incumbents of the other offices in the White House,(as far as I know! Please correct me if I am wrong!) I highly doubt everyone is dead at this point, at least not by natural course. Maybe just being imprisoned by the BT?
But I can see him becoming POTUS just for the sake of giving the story some spice.
Or maybe some are alive but they don't see themselves becoming POTUS of a broken nation except for McManus and after seeing what happened to Waller and Mendez, they are maybe fearing that position. I mean, president Waller collapsed because of the stress. Mendez was killed but people thought it was suicide.

I really wish the game gave us a little bit more nuance and who we can kill who we can. I guess that's the whole point of people not liking Isaac. Not killing Theo could have uncovered all of this for the division.

I'm confused here. The globe is in ruin. How is there even an economy? What is the money they're using? I can't understand how they're maintaining cash flow and creating new contracts.
