I think 135-140 hp is about perfect for trail riding. I have a 700 Dragon and a 700 Fusion, which are in that power range and I ride with mostly 800’s and 1100 Turbo Cats. I never feel that I have inadequate power to keep up on the trails and even if I jump on their sleds mine don’t feel underpowered when I get back on them. This 650 with its superior gas mileage and cheaper insurance is probably the sweet spot for trail riding. When I replace one it’ll almost surely be a 650

If they put one in a Pro RMK 155 with the 2.75 track I'm buying it. But they have a history of putting lesser tracks on the 600 RMK, so I expect this to be another fail with an old obsolete track that I won't buy. Just give me the options I want and you have a sale Polaris. Don't treat the smaller engine class like a lesser sled. For people who can really ride, the smaller engine makes it a superior sled. You ruin that if you put an old track on it.

It's funny when customizing the 137 Indy VR1 and the new 146 switchback on Polaris's website, the VR1 with all the same add-ons will cost you more money than a switchback. Personally I don't see why since it has a smaller track and tunnel you think it would be cheaper, but I guess it would be better for trail riding? I'd just save some money and ride a switchback cause it allows you to have more confidence going on and off trail.

@@rgr798 honestly would not be surprised if the axys was a superior race chassis. No one ever says how the matryx is better besides “handles good”. Suspension set up makes a much much bigger difference then people think. This new and improved handling could all be do to some more refined shock settings and A arm geometry (race sleds use completely different linkage parts anyway). And what these guys think is a good chassis is something comfortable and “fast” while driving like my grandmother, that does not mean fast while racing. But that is all speculation, but honestly probably not far off considering the race sleds don’t use the matryx

My GF bought a Indy 650 launch edition with the 129 Cobra track. I'm assuming the one in the video is similar. For trail riding, 129 is perfect! Handles extremely well on trail, and is somewhat decent in powder (i tried it in about 8 inches, gets stuck easily if you lose momentum). Also handles ice pretty well in my opinion
