I love that you took so much time to ensure you didn't break any of those green clips, however those clips are designed to just pull out normally without breaking.
This remains the same still...I had to go through this process for my 22' Acura ilx to swap those rear deck speakers. Luckily the rear seats fold down, so no need to remove those.
Nice video! I am about to do this on my hybrid. At 4:04 looking at the back cover - it seems like you could just take off the two back pillar/airbag covers and then pop the top cover? I am not sure removing the seat/back is required? What do you think?
Okay just finished the job! I can confirm - you only need pull the two pillar panels and the rear top panel. :) I had the whole job done in about 30 minutes. Thanks!
You can if you wanted to but you don't want to really, it would be much more work in the end, take more time cutting then trying to re-secure them, and only to look extremely ugly. You'd be better off just removing the panels.

I have really bad luck with plastic on old cars. lol.
listening to you struggle and cry is hilarious

Thank you! I thought about that after the fact and wondered if it was possible without pulling the seatback. Thanks for confirming!
You don’t need to remove the back seats btw
Nice video, thank you
did the metal touching interfere with the sound ? im doing mine right now the sound was on but went off . has yet to come back on yet
So far I have had no issues. Could one of the connections gotten loose?
Did you have to cut and rewire the factory harnesses for the door speakers? Or did you just plug the new speaker in.
I think I ordered an adapter harness for the Honda wires so I could plug and play rather than hack the OEM harness. Thanks!
Can I cut around the fake molding?

Are it 6.5"?
Yes. Both rear and front.
Are the front and rear deck speakers the same?
On this car, yes they are the same 17cm speakers as the door speakers. Honda Pt # is 39120-T2A-A21 for all 4 speakers.
What tools do I need
To get to them mostly 10&12mm sockets. A couple trim tools doesn't hurt.
Hey friend you help me,thanks
