I didn't realize the stock bar had an angle edge either. I'll be sure to check it tomorrow. But on the modifications they are simple and easy. thanks for not over complicating them. That brake line pretty much is good in one spot. 18 gauge is about the limit so you won't need much adjustability anyway. Maybe weld an horizontal bar on those two nuts will eliminate bringing a racket into the picture. thanks I'm going work on that mod this winter👍
Yes I've done 16 gauge. You don't need to mod it if you're only bending one piece of metal, you can just use the harbor freight brake as is from the store with a couple of C-clamps to hold down the top plate. This mod just makes it easier/faster to clamp the top plate down if you plan on bending multiple pieces of metal.

Can you bend 16 gauge sheet metal with this mod. I'm looking to bend a 18" long piece of metal

The only thing I don't like about these is you can't bend up 4 sides
