On Thursday, January 21st, 2021, TERN Gallery hosted a discussion, “On Aesthetics and Utility: The Value of Straw Craft” moderated by documentarian, Tamika Galanis @tamikagalanis. Galanis spoke with artist, Anina Major about her work currently displayed in Inherited Values. This dialogue was followed by a panel discussion between Galanis and three straw practitioners, Aidan Barrow @hausofassembly, David Rolle @raphelita_, and Carolyn Wright @stall439carolsgifts about cultural work and aesthetic utilitarianism.
