- Make your own flocking applicator, it's not a work of art but it gets the job done. I'll show you how I went about converting an electronic fly swatter into an electrostatic flocking tool. I've created mine for the sole purpose of applying flocking to some of my vintage 70's GI Joe's who have hair rubs. Maybe you'll be inspired to go all out when creating one of your own!

This looks awesome!! Question, was the hair pretty soft? I ask because Im needing to re-flock Sylvanian Families figurines.
Thanks for watching 👍 I can't say the hair on these figures are soft, it's really a fuzzy feeling. More than a flocked poster. The flocking fibers come in different lengths, so I know that would have a bearing on the softness end result. Sounds like a interesting project, good luck!

Thanks Tim , I just got a near mint 1973 Joe with a small bald spot on blonde beard. I may have to try this method . The only other issue is the tip of his nose is missing, Do you have any ideas on how to fix that issue ? Thanks again for your informative fun videos !
Thanks Mark, that nose is something I haven't encountered yet but I guess if I were to try I'd give some epoxy putty a go at it. I've used it to repair/replace broken thumbs on GI Joe figures from the 80s
